    what I don't get is why some of the pointless bonuses on items i.e. I have seen boots and gloves with +50%+ damage on this item. As the item has 10 or so damage you get a boost of 5ish, but as you cant put any damage gems on these items the +50% bonus is just wasted

    The best thing that I like of R185 is that I completely missed out the new features and such joy of start once again to achieve perfectly the same things that I used to have since R184.
    I'm not able to understand the real practical reason that take R185 to increase the overall old "Q" difficult , even with the introduction of an extra difficult mod4.
    Thanks to devs and to those that create such recycled features.
    During last sand storm event, I was almost unable to enter the event after 3 runs.
    I was feeling it such loathsome and now you gave us all a full new features, full new maps designed and based over sand storm lines.
    One of the "best" avoided, declined, flop event live on DSO.
    I'm not joking. I must thank you all so much.
    I finally realized the fact that I was unable by myself to flee DSO.

    Can someone explain what is going on with the defensive gems? I refined my Flawless amethyst to Sacred and it went from 100 to 143, whereas i have seen images of others that got less than 143 or even more? Gems are supposed to give standard amount of bonuses. What is that? Bug? Something wrong with the implementation of the new release like many other features?

    Khamis of the Six Terrors no longer spawning on demise maps after last nights patch. I can no longer progress on that task line. On the one where you kill him on Lvl 9. I have gone in at Lvl 7 progressed to lvl 9 four times, cleared entire map and each room, and he is not there.

    Since no one goes back and reads old pages and the system doesn't mark and updated previous post as new to go look at, and the moderator nerfed my post stating such, I'm moving it up here where maybe I'll get an answer. Along with the the question that I'm posting today.

    Ok. I got to play for a half hour this morning before work. Was in the Cradle of Death doing the last quest there (needed 150 zombies for the lost girl).

    While I was there I got 1 splintered cyanite and 1 splintered cyanite of Quaziness. Granted, I'm a level 50 SW, but I thought I wasn't supposed to be able to get the gems of Quaziness until I got to the new desert maps or to the PW maps. Am I wrong on this?

    Update today: I've also only ever gotten one gem of Quaziness since the update.

    Ok, I've made several runs into Nahuatlan, several runs into Cradle of Death. Has anyone else noticed that there are little to mostly no white drops? When I noticed, I started watching to see if more coins were dropping, but I'm not sure about that as I'm "used" to what is dropping now and wasn't tracking closed enough before to tell. If more coins are dropping, I'm all for no white drops, as that was where I was building gold from (I pick up everything as I go).

    Also, cudos on the gem stacking. Don't see where anyone else has said anything about it. Now I'll stop converting my flawed till I have enough to get to what I actually need to combine two slots into the next higher. :)

    Loss of part of the cudos: The stack size of essences didn't increase. I can understand the active holding windows staying at 9999, but how about the storage upping to 99999? Then when you drop into the two switchable windows, you get a "filling" of what you are dropping. No?

    • player can't choose map difficulty (for new maps) when using "travel stones" or "universal map"
    • similar matter as above: do we ever get PW maps added to travel stones/ universal map? Or maybe a new item "Ammons universal map". I wouldn't even mind paying outrageous prices for it (like 100K materis). Understandably, it'd only get you to first map of each PW quest-line once you unlock them.
    • while lvling i tend to quickly fill up inventory with greens. I sorely miss some bulk inventory management at these times. Like mass sell / melt / identify ...
    • loosing 8% of crit-chance per lvl-up seem a bit too high, at lvl 55 i'll have -40% chance, and i have yet to see a possibility to regain that loss on new gear, if there is such a possibilty...
    • basicaly all sets gained before r185 are now useless? i recently bought full darkness set, which i didn't even come to use due to lack of crafted items. Maybe there should be a way to salvage these sets that got wasted by new release. Like selling it for 50% return of drakens or something. Similarly it could apply for PW sets. I couldn't complete q1 set (9/12 and 9/12 t1 items). All that farming went for nothing.
    • looks like the general increase in defensive attributes is taken as a justification for quite agressive rescaling of PW difficulty (boss especially). Painfull diff nowadays fells like Excutiating before release and so on.
    • broken convention of icons: 1h weapons point to left, 2h point to right. It is very annoying not be able to determine 1/2h just by looking on icon (how hard could it be to flip an icon horizontaly?) - mage 52 item
    Don't know about that, but it gives me a great idea. Variable stat gems. Image people re-buying royal gems just to get higher range of a stat. :D

    Carefull what you wish for. With recent increase in lockpick accessibility, i bet you that any change will turn out to be a huge nerf.

    After some notifications from other players ...we came to conclusion that the new gems stats differ from class to class :eek:
    ATM the Wiki article has only the gem stats for SW ... I can't put info for the other classes since I don't have it.
    We will have to wait for the official info before updating the article ... if any.

    I decided to check out this new "expansion" and I have say that some of it makes no sense whatsoever.

    Take the new tier rating.

    What makes 1 of these tier 1 versus tier 2? Seems to be no different than the completely stupid CV system.

    Then on top of that, the gold line thing has been changed. Why 59% is now a gold line on a 2h is beyond me.

    The 10x lock pick drops are nice. Lots of gem drops (although a whole new gem system) is okay, but overall, this expansion seems designed more to get players to spend money than it is for player enjoyment.

    Not enough for me to come back and play daily.

    When it came to determining what tier old items are, I think they took the lowest enchantment and used that to determine it. For example:

    Does that look like a "Tier 1" axe?

    For old items, ignore the tier system. It only means anything on the new items.

    That is "increased damage" not "increased damage on this item" (formerly known as weapon damage).

    Trakilaki is right. I haven't done the math yet to be sure, but instinct tells me that "increased damage" will be better on 1h builds that have a lot of flat damage from items, but "increased damage on this item" will be better for 2h builds because it will then be multiplied by "increased damage" found on other items.

    played 3hrs tonight and got 6 bone drops??? is it the fact its near the end of event they decided make people pay for them?? I can understand the need a company to make money, but if you gonna screw all f2p players just say so. say up front, p2p gets bonus xyz. I know premium says bonuses, but they not all the bonuses. say upfront the actual advantages (better drop/crafting/gold/etc) then you might get more people to pay. on the other hand you will prob lose all f2p players when you admit the bias that goes to the payers. anyway I'm not gonna say anymore as this will be deleted anyway.

    I saw this at lunch and have been dying to run the numbers all day. :) This is essentially a test to see if I am understanding the numbers correctly in the new post-185 world.

    *sigh* I had the table, had an error, it completely messed up the columns. Tried to hard code edit it. Missed something and the whole table vanished with all my work. :(

    Hmmm... messed up the math?

    Checked it thrice. They were a lot different the first two times. This time it's just a rounding discrepancy, so I'd go with the 1083.72 value.

    I can't calculate in critical damage because that one really depends on the toons total Critical Hit Rate. Last year when I started I got a couple of really high "+ critical damage" (was reaching near x3) but had a Critical hit rate of <1.00%. So the crit damage was worth less than what comes out when you squat.

    Either way, it is a very nice range and DPS, and that's not considering any other equipment / gems / etc that Baragain might be wearing.

    It is also logical and natural that it is so. But I see no way to achieve it.

    The new defensive stats and bonuses are maybe decent, while offensive ones seem to have been thought by a madman.

    I found boots or robes with +120% damage on the object, I thought "wow", but their base damage is a ridicolous +25 and I can not even put a ruby on them. On Tier-3 items there are always the same pitful bonus on damage, even the so hated +4% dmg that was and is still so common. The two-handed weapons are a mirage now, and the bonuses that I've found on them are still about 20-25% at lev 52-53. Yellow bonuses are even rarer than before, I have not found anyone on damage yet.

    Only doing some fast run to kill fatal miniboss I get exp so fast, while not wishing. And the items that I find do not seem to give any chance to improve. I understand that devs are pushing us to have more balanced characters but, while if I'd been able to survive to a few hits, soon I will not be able to kill anything anymore.

    Heavy payers still have a tolerable experience cause they are permanently red-equipped and don't care when they die, but what about all the other people? They're just a bunch of fools whose BP wants to get rid as soon as possible?

    Finished all your quests did not even make level 53 WTG on your testing of this "fantastic" update
    Just tell us to grind levels your game is boring EDIT

    Ok, it was fun... but I am now on run 25 through the ninth level looking for Khamis. I've tried to go right around, left around, in circles, up one side, down the other, leaving the watchman alive, killing the watchman... I'm out of ideas. What the hell am I doing wrong? This is getting soooo boring, now. If at least you could jump straight to level 9, but you need to waste 20-30 minutes ploughing through 7 and 8.... WHAAAAAAA

    Oh, and while I am having a [EDIT]... who the hell thought the Greedy Goblin was a good idea. As a Dragonknight, slowed down to standstill with him running around at top speed, he is basically impossible to get down. And then when you get him in a corner, you can hardly hit him. Stupid.

    Other than that: Great Extension so far... but once again, no Khamis. EDIT
