Which I've accomplished with the gloves. :D

If only there was a better PW unique pair of gloves than the Herald gloves.

Which means that with t4 junks you could have had better base stat, isn't it?

So lucky bargain, so fast with getting base stat with 4x gold...

You are correct, but my goal will be to transfer the 4x lines to a pair of T4 Herald gloves when I finally manage to farm those bad boys. Then I'll get the base stats, the fire resistance, and the buff to ground breaker.

In the past, the uniques were never good enough to entice me to farm hard for them, but with the new legendary->unique crafting, I'm back in that game.

How do you enter the infernal difficulty to get those gloves?

The maps aren't unlocked yet, and even then you will need fragments farmed from the bosses in the regular three difficulties.

    Is this intended to happen?
If so, BigPoint introduced a huge gap between new players and current level 50 veterans. Because, new players will never be able to craft items like these.

Actually, that item is nothing special. Gloves can still get attack speed ranging from 2%-10%, so these are not out of reach for newer players.

The bigger deal is when I start crafting my weapon decoration. I have 2x3/4 crit decorations, and 1x2/4 crit decoration. The ultimate goal will be to combine these with a LVL 55 that has 700+ crit base stat and one or two "% crit on this item" lines (28%-30%). If I could get them to transfer, they'd have about. That could give 1650-1850 from just the decoration, but the % would help any onyxes I decide to use. I would have at least one 440 in there, so that 440 could be worth 560-680 for a total of 2330-2410. Basically, the more sapphires I plan to use the more useful a % line will become.

Another example would be crafting my weapon. I have several ingredients with 1720+ crit lines at LVL 50 that will convert up to a LVL 53+ version with enough crafting and will give me a huge boost to my crit that way too.

Still, if newer players play smart, they can still achieve something close to this, just with more effort. LVL 1-49 items still drop with the old type of stats (+HP, + Crit, +Damage, etc). So, theoretically, you could craft similar items with LVL 49 ingredients farmed in Lor'tac. But without PW difficulties to increase the probabilities of gold lines, you will need a bit of time and luck. I'll include more about this when I rewrite my crafting guide; Crafting 2.0.55, lol.

Yes not having critical hit or +damage on the new weapons is going to be a problem. I'm think a new high DPS 2h build will rely heavily from a weapon trophy with ultra high increased critical hit rate % on item and filled with onyxes combines with a good crit set such as darkness or karbosa. The new increased damage stats on 2h weapons can also turn to be crazy to have. I had a green 2h weapon drop with base stat of 333-583 and 61% increased damage...just having that it gave me close to 5k base just equipping the thing...
This also makes me wonder what combination of IWD and Increased damage will give the highest base damage. Of course increased damage will be more effective for builds with more +damage on their items. Bargain with your mathy skills could you figure it out for us?

    • Dont 2h have absolute damage lines?
    • Dmg% lines are not increased on weapons, only absolutes
    • Darkness is useless. 4x crit% helmet is mucb better
    • Assuming you can have 4x increased dmg torso and belt, what gives you ~80% increased dmg, weapon should be as usually 3x dmg%, 1x dmg.

Belt? I have never seen a belt with an increased damage line. Are you saying that new items (level 50-55) have such lines?

Also, has anyone compiled a list of all possible different types of attribute lines on new items?

Every set is useless now ... and every leg item as well :D
So far we had unique sets vs leg items "battle" ... the question was "who will win the battle".
The answer is ... they both lose. Because time of hybrids has come.
From now on we can craft the legs and unique items together and make hybrid items.
Regarding the Helmet of Darkness ... imagine your leg helmet enchants transferred onto Helmet of Darkness. It will still have the bonus but with new 57% increased crit hit. Of course it is only comparison ... there are far more better unique helmets to take into consideration for "hybrid crafting".
Don't wait for the others mate ...be the first one :p

    As for the crafting ...
People ... don't melt/sell/destroy your old items you can use them for crafting again :
    - you can craft your old items into new ones
    - you can craft your old unique items into new ones
    - you can upgrade your old unique items into new ones. Not exactly an conventional upgrade ... but something more powerful. You can upgrade your base stats from one item with lower tier to new item with higher tier ... but in same time you can transfer your enchantments from leg item onto unique item ...
    - people say "these new items are joke ... where is crit ...I can't get a single crit enchantment?" . But they omit to see the base stats ... they are giving crit hit.
    - finally the low level Grimmagstone leg items are obsolete and under-powered :p
    - ... ... ... ... ...

I like this new content expansion ... the only thing I don't like is the P2P element in it ... and also I don't like the fact that I will have to update almost every single Wiki article on my own :D

    Indeed
Agreed. I can't really make too many guesses until we start seeing more craftable sets.
I'm hoping to see a new, unique/legendary craftable, version of the Bellicose set with the "% increased 2H damage" moved into the permanent set stats. If that is the case, a 4x % crit version of the helmet, attack speed version of the gloves, and HP version of the boots with % HP runes packed into it could be incredible for defense and offense. The down side... That is a lot of "if"s.
Working on it. I'm just not working hard on it until I have my toon to LVL 55 and the mini event complete, so sometime in the next 24 hours, I should be starting to work on it.
It only took them 3 years to address that. :p

So we are going to craft uniques with the stats we want? Look something like this?

What happens in the test server is different from what is happening in the live server?
In the video that baragain posted, the John Doe was transferring stats from legacy items to brand new T3 sets like a charm.
Based on what I've read/seen there's no regret to transfer the stats on a t3 set since you will always be able to "re-transfer" those stats on a t4 set with the soul core transfer.

Darkness is an "intermediate" step unless you think that everyone has unlimited resources/time to spend on the game.
For a lot of casual player that will be probably the "last step" before moving to other lands so, not as useless as you may assume.

For the majority of the players a 3/4 leg to transfer onto an unique t3/4 is enough to complete any task in this game.
At that point a 9% more ias would mean less than a 2-3% dps but the cost of that 2-3% dps is more than 24k gold and undeterminable amount of gliphs (not considering the time you will need to find the needed resurces). Put in the cauldron the fact that now it's way harder to get all that gold because of the new enchantments and their lower gold value and you got the picture of the 3 degrees of the actual status of the game:
    - casual player: use as many "decent uniques/sets" as possible and craft the least as possible
    - affectionated player: stick with 3/4 leg to unique crafted gear (as many as possible)
    - hardcore players (AKA p2w players): get all the 4/4 leg to unique crafted gear
since you got only 2 years from now to complete you set-up and you better know that in 2 years things will probably change
