Yes it is different ... until the contents are being released at live servers. Which has been already done.
True that ... I have not paid attention. In that case it is even more easier than I thought.
In that case only leg to leg crafting is needed to upgrade the old leg items into new ones with base stats).
You see ... I was testing at that private TS ... but I couldn't test anything. Why? Because I was testing without getting items to test with. (I did test everything except the new crafting).
That is why I have to make assumptions :p
While John Doe was transferring stats ... I was accompanied by Jane Doe ;)

Ok, I posted this picture elsewhere, but I think it belongs here too. This happened Thursday night from 4 blues (2 with 1 gold line each) and is my first successful crafting in almost 1.5 years:

I had stuck only with 3/4 as my target for crafting, but that was in part gecause I suspected level 55 was this year.

Very nice. You are half way there already. Combine both of those and get a 4/4 and you are ready for Unique Transfer Crafting.

And I was dumb to melt all my 3/4 dublicates as O crafted 4/4. Was concerned about the level. And now it looks lvl doesnt matter on leg2unique crafting.

Also, we need to wait for the event uniques' redesign. There would be many choices on every item. Im now curious what weapon should I use, the bear's or the full moon.

I thought about cleaning out my inventory, but I thought better of it. I had no clue what to expect, so I erred on the side of caution thinking that I can always melt stuff later. Plus, regarding levels, I figured it would be easier to get glyphs to improve an item from 53/54 up to 60 than it would be to replace the 9 months farming and crafting for the items I have. Little did I realize that the change to the stats avaliable would make this an even bigger deal.

I cleared out my junk items (3 or 4 slot items for slots 3 and 4). I'm holding onto old gold lines.

Likewise. The only "Junk" items that I held onto are shields because they've nerferd the base stats on shields. Some careful crafting should be able to give me a LVL 54 ingredient shield to use down the road to try to make an even better legendary.

Since you can craft legendary stats to uniques it looks like the bearach set will be the mos usefull set for farming now.

Which is a shame since the Bearach weapon is a hammer and crit is what we really need at the moment.

Yeah, either Bearach or Herald. Probably Bearach for mechs - I can see endgame mechs trying to get 4x % incr damage on that belt. But Herald might also be doable if you have a 4x % incr attack speed glove.

Well it does come with just under 500 critical hit on each item, and the stats i would put on it would have gold crit line, but who knows i might just make it pure damage stats if I can figure out how to abuse the new weapon trophies.

I can't do the math like you do, but a leg hammer with a base gold crit and dmg lines, 1 gold crit enchantment line and 3 dmg% lines might just be something to consider going forward.

Because adornments now can have % crit lines on top of crit base lines, it could be an interesting mixture.

Crit damage could still be in rings, belts and amulet to keep that up. Maybe even sneak some crit dmg into a unique helmet to boost it up a bit.

Of course if the dev's got off their lazy butts and released the data, then it would be easier to know what direction to build.

Right now the obvious choice is to build an end game dwarf. Dmg, dmg and more dmg. All the gear now have some dmg lines in it. Seems like a no brainer. Certainly not as fun, but super easy to build, especially if someone is willing to throw a few dollars into the mix.

Sigris would seem to be the only option at the moment...

but lvl 50 gear % wont go up when you lvl the leg/item no?

I haven't seen any "% crit" on weapon decorations, only "% Crit on this item." That being said, that combonation for the hammer might be good, but it depends on if you can transfer stats from one unique to another that isn't the same type, like Herald's hammer to a 2H axe unique that may be released in the next 2-4 months. If not, then it would be a shame to have wasted a rare line like +crit on something that temporary.
It won't go up because they are %s, but that is why those % stats are already near max.

    huh????
First of all, how in the seven worlds is this "successful crafting?
Second, did you actually take random blues with random stats, put them together without really a reason especting to get something good? Crafting doesn't work like that bud.
