    Both Frost Wind and Frost Nova stops him. However, even with 4 (DK, SW, DK, RA), we only get him down to about 60% health. And that is on "Normal". Not painful.

    I'm thinking of trying a bomb. Nothing else seems to do much damage.

    _Baragain_: Good idea. I hadn't thought of doing a patern like that. Would maximize the availiable floor till he disapeared.

    So, has anyone ever actually killed this little ******* goblin???

    EDIT @ 6/11/2017 @ 5:09 MST ====================================================
    Two SWs (53, 51) and a SM (55) named "LittleHink" and the goblin died in <20 seconds.

    So, the goblin can be killed.

    EDIT @ 7/29/2017 @ 7:22 p MST ====================================================
    I've done the Depths of Demise alot these days. I've been a part of many groups that have most of the time beat the goblin. The pack usually is 4/5 people with "2 SW / 1 RA" or "1 SW / 2 RA" or "2 SW / 2 RA" and the rest being DKs. The key is to take turns stunning to keep the rat ba****** held still.

    He should be counted as a champion/leader etc for the dailies.

    on normal he is killable , just sacrifice some higher essences. Stuns+ armor break are your best bet as has been already stated.
    Also , i sometimes noticed him spawning the poison meteor over summoned allies like Guardian , so if i play mage and et him, i spawn the guard over already green zone (yes, shorted guard life, but more room for me/party)
    As for drops, i haven't had anything special drop from him yet.. so i don't bother killing him but rather use the good old "snake" game and stay alive

    and still counting :p

    You have to constantly stun and armor break him ... also your toon is still weak. When you get stronger you will kill him in few shots without essences.

    Yeah, in a couple of years I'll finally get there.
    One of those high end dwarves came and showed me that they can actually be killed. He went by the name of Littlehink (55). His damage was 4x mine (with me on blues).

    P.S. In case you didn't notice, LittleHink it the guy replying here with the name BigHink. You are talking about him like he isn't here, but he is right here in this thread. :p

    Ummmm... No I'm not.

    Now had I been replying to BigHink instead of trakilaki and said the same thing, then your statement would hold water.

    Gurus, please tell me:
    I was wondering about the tic-tac-toe game in Kingshill. How could that happen?
    [IMG]
    I mean look at it. There are 3x X and 2x O, that means X started. (S)he definitely started on left side of the square:

    X◻◻
    ◻◻◻
    ◻◻◻
    or
    ◻◻◻
    X◻◻
    ◻◻◻
    or
    ◻◻◻
    ◻◻◻
    X◻◻
    and we know, the other guy put O either like so:
    ◻◻◻
    ◻O◻
    ◻◻◻
    or like so:
    ◻◻O
    ◻◻◻
    ◻◻◻
    (1st variant could happen always, 2nd variant would make sence only if X was in position 1 or 3)

    Let's say 1st variant occured and the X-guy put another X on right side of the square. So on the right side are 2 Xs.
    (X?)◻◻
    (X?)O◻
    (X?)◻◻
    ...then putting O in the upper right corner makes no sence.

    Let's try version 2:
    (X?)◻O
    ◻ ◻◻
    (X?)◻◻
    so is 1 X on position 1 or 3 and a circle in the upper right corner. Then was X-guy's turn, and (s)he put another X in the line so there are 2 Xs. From there it's obvious X-guy wants to make a straight 3X line and O-guy must obviously block it by putting O in the lane, where is still 1 free spot. So why would he put it in the middle?

    The playstyle of O-guy makes no sence, that means, he is either a beginner or has some mental disability or something like that. So why is the X-guy so happy of his/her victory and the other guy is laughing? Also there is one (probably woman) that is spreading her hands because she doesn't get what they are doing and why are they so rude. I don't get it as well. I think we will need some higher knowledge, teach us gurus, please.

    Gurus,
    Appreciated very much the insight you shared on the licorice/materi drop question. That being said, I know both of you play rangers, so care to expound on this remotely related observation: time flies like an arrow, fruit flies like a banana.

  14. _Baragain_

    _Baragain_ Living Forum Legend

    Well, I only play a ranger... Trakilaki PLAYS a ranger. That said and I will do my best.

    First, I need to clarify part of your saying. Not all fruit flies (travels through the air) like a banana, but all fruit flies (the bug) like bananas due to their nutritional value and the fact that they taste better than poop.

    Now, as per time flying like an arrow, we need too look at Zeno's Paradox, but then that depends on how geeky you want me to get with the math. :p

    I know math is one of the things you live for, so just how geeky are you feeling? Innovation and perception will get you so far but thinking outside the box will carry you to new heights. I can clearly see that you have "gone where no man has gone before". Without a doubt you are one of my favorite posters. Thanks for what you bring to the table on a consistently excellent basis.

    Changes step by step ...
    Step one - nerf the ranger.
    Step two - nerf the ranger.
    Step three - nerf the ranger bit more.
    Step four - nerf the ranger even more.
    Ranger nerfed again. Why? Because players are not playing rangers in China?

    Plain and simple I feel the game should't be modified in this way ... if they want to bring new features for the Asian market ... they should introduce them only on their servers.

    Anyway ... I wanted to show some statistics.

    Oh great, mighty, and powerful Gurus... I have a riddle for you.

    Even though you have never been in this situation, as this is a new configuration that we all are in, I hope that, with your knowledge and wisdom, you can give me the answer I'm going to soon need.

    The situational setup:
    A Toon has just reached level 55 this summer, has no veteran end game experience (and no such gathered equipment), and has just recently begun PW.
    The riddle:
    Where does this Toon farm Universal Health Potions? The Toon must be able to collect them faster than the Toon uses them.

    I believe that I see a problem, and I'm hoping that I am wrong. At level 54, I can farm UHPs from the Cradle of Death and the Cradle of life, as both are fixed at level 49 and within 5 levels.

    EDIT @ 7/30/2017 @ 2:42 pm MST ====================================================
    Oh contraire! I spent an hour farming Stillwater Bay and I didn't get a single health potion drop. What I got from Stillwater was: • some coins, • some andermant, • lots of greens to sell for some more coins, • some blue/purple/orange to melt for a somewhat decent amount of Glyphs, and • a couple of gems. I repeat, I got ZERO universal health potions.
    Same thing in Thunder Crest, ZERO universal health potions.

    Thinking back, I don't recall ever getting a UHP from a shabby chest either, though they would auto pick up and there wouldn't be any indication if you weren't watching that inventory number change at that moment. Thus I can't say for certain.
    It would be nice if there was an alternative log in the chat that showed a list of everything picked up, no?

    In the past, when the level cap changed from say 45 to 50, you could go back to a level 45 or 46 map, where you would be strong enough to not need any health potions potions and thus collect them for the maps where you do need them. With this expansion, once you go past 51 (and upto reaching level 55), there are no level 51 maps. They don't exist. It's one level 50 boss map and all other 50+ maps are your level and are @ 55 with you.

    EDIT @ 7/30/2017 @ 3:43 pm MST ====================================================
    Okay. Something hokey is going on. I just spent time in The Great Desert. I filled 3 bags with: (49) greens, (23) blues, (8) purples, (2) orange, (1) Splintered Diamond, (1) Flawed Ruby [that's 84 items], and I only got (1) Universal Health Potion {gotten just before the last 4 items and I started with 21 and ended with 22 - used 0}.

    The Universal Health potions are not dropping.

    There was a lot more red health "balls" dropping than I seem to remember. However, that is not of any help as the "balls" were not dropping anywhere near this rate in PW Grimmagstone - Painful.

    EDIT @ 8/5/2017 @ 6:37 pm MST ====================================================
    The riddle:

    Where does this Toon farm Universal Health Potions?

    The Answer:
    The toon farms for UHPs in the Events !!!

    I'm up about 50 in less than 24 hours phyisical time, 12 hours play time.

    .

    Spiky Valley or The Great Desert are the places.
    BTW you can get potions at all maps regardless of the level ... you can also get them from the shabby chests.
