    Go on to max level. During the way i would suggest you to use a book and not a shield and find rings and ornament with highest critical hit value. Change this items everytime you find better critical hit value on base stats. Other items till 55 are all the same so choose what you prefer. Only about gloves and boots make attention at the speed. Keep the fastest one. Good luck!

    agreed the shield doesn't help mage much. Just lvl up, but don't rush it. Rushing it can cause problems where you will struggle with almost everything at max lvl. Also if you have some glyphs don't go for extra and legendary equipment, find good regular, improved, and magic to upgrade, because you get more out of it. When you have enough glyphs to upgrade better equipment's do it, but they are not that good if you can't upgrade them.

    Look at this build. Nice and easy. This is the single best way I've seen on how to prepare for the end game. I'm using this method myself right now with my little sw.

    By "highest critical hit value" you mean highest critical hit rate or highest critical damage?
