Feedback Witch seeker's strap Wanted (dead or alive)

So, this week-end was the first I could put some serius effort in this event and the goal was to get witch seeker set.
Things went pretty bad (but I'm still holding my breath because ther's still 1 day left).

I did around 115 boss kills all in Infernal 2 and around 70 map runs (just few runs in infernal 1 because there was no tank to support me).
Those were the scrolls I collected in about 1 year of gameplay (before the event was reworked I used the scrolls only to complete the dailyes or to help my GF to collect some flowers when she was still playing the game and I only stocked em).

Now I feel I was totally ripped.

I haven't dropped a single torso in over 100 boss kills but I am confident I will drop it soon or later because basically anyone was with me dropped it therefor I'm sure it can be actually dropped and it's just matter of time before I will get mine (as usually happens, once you break the bad luck circle you end dropping few of them one after the other back to back).

On top of that I used 208 bloody amphora keys

Out of those 200+ amphora keys I got 0 belt.
None of my friend ever saw that.
I only ear rumors about that been droppable out of amphoras (both 1 and 5 keys).
I only got this proof that it actually exists and it's droppable

I love "hardcore" things but this is insane.
You have to farm like mad to get those keys (dwarf heist event) and the final result is that you have to buy that from the vendor if you don't want to get mad looking for that?

Now the real question is: You get pauldrons from the trees on the Ceridwen quest; why the hell can't we get the belt from the Pummran's quest??
Anyone and his mother are deleting that quest because it's time wasting, wouldn't it be more logical to put on top of the normal drops also the chance to get the freaking belt?

I did someting like 80 map runs on friday, to try to get the shoulders (80 x 3 'cause there are 3 trees per run), but guess what? It didn't drop

 

The pauldrons are easy to be found compared the belt.
I got 4 pairs of those, multiple party members got em too during the runs I did, once, me and another guy got em from the same tree (the last pair I got); if you think the pauldrons are hard to be found, don't even start with the belt.

 

THe belt you can get from ROCK monsters, and shoulders from tree quest. I got my first belt at 200 auph keys but my friend yesterday got it from rock golem. Heh i got 3 shoulders in this event

 

Yeah, i noticed that too..
When they released this old Kara set, i didnt knew that i can farm it from tree bosses, so i bought it in tier 4..
And now i still didnt got the torsos, so i decided to buy that one as well..

Im 8k drakens shorter. FeelsBadMan

About the belt.. I used over 100 key too and still didnt got that one as well.

 

I burned 261 keys to be exact on mixed 5x & 1x amphora.. no belt.
A friend got the belt on his first 1x amphora..lol.

Since I don't have anymore amphora key.. I did rock boss & rock monsters as shown on picture above since yesterday.. so far already more than 100 kills but not yet 200 for the rock boss.. but that rock monsters I did kill so many(did it because of their loots can fill my bag quick).

Let's see if they actually drop it.. or I'm just totally unlucky for 2 months straight.

 

Yesterday, in one of my runs, I pugged this guy that was farming the event map with that quest active... I was quite shoked indeed and he told me that he was farming the Contenders for the belt.
When I asked more about this he told me that he never dropped the belt yet, that's why I didn't gave him much credit but lead me to write this topic.

Would be awesom if any dev should give clarifications on the matter anyway, if I have to give my 2 cents, the only one that should drop the belt could be the Champ and not the contenders because, also for the pauldrons, aren't the witches that drop the pauldrons but only the Trees (which means only the last part of the quest mobs).

This would explain why there are not so many reports about the belt drop... that giant spawns only when you correctly complete the quest (if you kill even only one contender in the wrong order the quests gets bugged and you need to reset the map) and, most of all, there's just 1 mob that can drop it when you got 3 of trees that can drop the pauldrons (and I'm sure all of them can drop the pauldrons since I got em from different ones).

 

Don't forget that it was because of this very complaint that these items have been added to the shop. If you are not having any luck getting the drop, you are able to buy them outright.

 

Isn't that giant is Pummrana's Rocky Champ? It is always appear just below white boss door no matter the contenders being cleared out or not. Or am I missing something?

Confirmed. Got 2 pouldrons out of 3 trees.

 

I remember the times gone by where, if you wanted a unique, you had to get really lucky. I shudder to think about how many times I killed Mortis looking for the Helmet of Death, or killed Khalys looking for Cloaked Wrath (back when it was the best 1H weapon) and never got the drop. Now people can just buy whatever unique they want.

 

Sorry Sir, but you are pointing at the wrong person.
I nevere asked for an "easy" thing and I will refuse to use the "easy path".
The fact that you can buy an item from a vendor doesn't mean you can make that specific item undroppable or with a very couter intuitive mechanic. The vendor should be a "safe net" not the primary source (and I'm sure devs meant that in this way, ask them by yourself if you don't trust me).
The purpose of a dev is always to make things reliable.
The fact that you can drop an item from an AMPHORA (that you need a key to open) it's just a counter intuitive decision and, most of all, we are getting to the point that probably that item is droppable also from other source which makes the informations given by mods (that are "normal players" if I'm not wrong) incorrect.

I just tested it and you get him only if you actually got the quest, I'll test it further if it spawns only if you complete the quest in the correct orther.
Sadly the confirmation that it can drop the belt will come in another month since I won't have the chance to farm it decenty in the time left.

A friend told he got one belt from witch and another one from the tree on 2/2 quest. I hardly believe that. But it’s what he said.

Will do 1/2 & 2/2 quest again next month. I hope I got the drop from monster instead of the amphora.

 

You cant get BELT from trees or witch only from Rock monsters, golem or amhoras.
I believe BELT are the rarest item in this event. Couple friends getting sick now killed many many and still nothing

 

In simple terms you are not alone. I have killed bosses maybe 20 times though since update, so I don't know how my luck is but I know of other that have spent more amphora keys and havn't gotten broom or belt. And some have killed bosses over a hundred times and no drop. Here is and example of how I do realate. I killed herald about 150-200 times and didn't drop one unique weapon or gloves. Now the next 50 kills prob gotten weapon 1 time and gloves 4 times. Larger the sample size the more true your chances appear.

 

Similar thing here... only ever got the belt tier2 from a Golden Amphora (none form Neats, none from quest mini-bosses)... and wasted a lot of keys to try for tier5 pauldrons... all I got was another Icy Stygian Broom (not even the other kind to add tot he bag ;--; ). Seems both are similarly hard to find, depending on people's luck. Upside is I gathered a lot of wood and scrolls, but still feels like an underachievement. Even though it's too late now for my spent keys, nice to have a bit more clarification about what monsters drop which unique. Thanks for that .

It's more likely you have higher chance to get them, since you can repeat the quest every run etc.
Anyway, during those 3 days of event I menaged to do nearly 200 map runs, just to get some blue ess and glyphs :/

 

Let's see if we can bring the topic to the correct direction.
This is not a whine topic, I don't need to whine, I just need to get the correct informations because I got the feeling the ones I had were WRONG.
The ones that are here to whine, can move to other topics we don't need em.
The inizitial information was the belt was dropping from the amphoras and ONLY from them.
On top of that there was no clear indication on which kind of amphoras (neat, 1 key or golden ones).
From what we have readen so far the answers are the following:
- Belt CAN drop ALSO from Rock giants (both the contenders AND the CHAMP) (special thanks to Audriukaas that confirmed this, a screenshot of the drop would be awesom and I hope I'll be the one to post it)
- I got the feeling the CHAMP would be the one with the highest chances because he's actually an ELITE minion (worth the quest of champions daily) therefor has an INCREASED DROP rate for exos, legis AND uniques (as any other champion which also have a guaranteed exos drop from painful and higher mods), the contenders, instead, are just SPECIAL mobs with higher drop rate (no guaranted exos and not counted for the daily quest) anyway, since they are 12 per map (I counted 4 of them per spawn) are worth to be killed (and the drops, expecially in higher mods are also pretty good).

This is correct, it will always spawn, no matter if you killed the contenders, therefor, someone with high amount of tickets could skip the rest the map and directly aim for him, still I don't know if it could be the best way to farm the belt (I'm quite confident it is but you would sacrifice a lot of gold/crafting material dropped from the contenders).
- it seems GOLDEN amphoras are the best way to get the belt and also this makes perfect sense. I've never eard anyone dropping the broom from a normal amphora and I'm pretty confident they gave an "increased chance" on golden amphoras on "special items" (brooms and belt), the problem is that normal amphoras are a way better source of boss scrolls, wood and drakens so you have to chose if use the 1 key and be sure to get a lot of wood, maps, drakens OR try the golden ones for a better chance to hit the jackpot. We also got the indication that even neat amphoras could drop the belt even tho it would be an extremly low chance.
- you can do BOTH the quests in the same map (you just need that two party members have the different quest active) and this can be done into an infinite loop (no need to delete the quest, both the players have to complete his own quest every time).

Whoever has other informations about the "wanted belt" (now called the "unicorn belt") that could help is more then welcome.

I'll keep on trying to kill Rocky Champ & Pummrana Contenders to find prove while completing event.
