Heard a rumor that Dragan event will be ending...anyone have any info on this?

 

There is no official info about that and Dragan seems to keep coming back and back and other neglected events like the Desert of essences seems to be forgotten.
I don't mind the Dragan event but it wouldn't hurt getting something that we haven't seen in a while.

 

yep, but remember that the one or two time they brought back desert of ess event it was nothing like the original one.

Until BP says something official, assume nothing.

 

The question for me is: we need another Dragan now?

We did it twice in a row (in march there was Defeat...not a big event and in april none).
Most people haven't infernal passages and I think BP changed nothing so we'll have 3rd (double) pet, other Dragan weapon's part (tier0)
I'ld have preferred Dark Dwarf, Desert of essences or anything else now and Dragan in June/July or with Infernal 4 mode

 

Well, it is on for half of its time during June, so you can consider yourself half-satisfied


Anyhow, I think that Dragan is put there to let us test better newer Talent/Exp/Group Skills (compared to how other events works) and to fill some spaces in their schedule.
Also, if they worked on PvE "rebalance" during this months, while starting to work on a PvP one, I bet they didn't have much time to rework old events like DoE.

If I were in their place I would have chosen Dragan too, not that I'm totally fine with it anyway.


BtW, I noticed some bugs while playing Dragan Event on TS... Like, Dragan Jr was looking like a stalker since he was following me even at a distance he shouldn't be allowed by game codes (or whatever)

 

I can see from different responses that this dragan event has been run alot but from my point of view, being that i just recently hit lvl 55 i am looking forward to my first dragan event and am really happy they are running it.

 

Speak for yourself. After last season, I had over 10k and with the current season ending right around the same time Dragan starts, ill have close to 20k.

Even if you don't plan on farming T6 on repeat, you can farm T3, T4, or T5 for easy cores. It is the single best event for farming Dragan cores and Draken Cores are always useful. Also, if you don't have a ton of Infernal Frags, you can farm T5 for quality gear (with gold lines), and then you can augment the gear down the road.

I agree, but I'm not going to complain about an event that is known to give tons of easy Draken and tons of easy Draken cores.

Its been like that for ages... he doesn't reset at all. It was really frustrating when I was farming T6 cubes and the occasional person I was carrying would pull him. I preferred to skip him.

 

I've 22k now and have both Dragan sets with gold bonuses T6 so it isn't a problem for me. Probably I'll do all quest for 3000draken and
Jewel of Enhancement but it's too boring and probably we don't have movement speed wisdom bonus so it will take more time to farm pearls.
I have no intention to finish the challenges this time...I'll play just to get large and radiant gem bags and eventually 2 clovers

 

I usually avoid him from the start (specially if he is a fire-type miniboss), so maybe this is the reason I didn't know... Oh well, who cares?

 

It is a bit odd to see Dragan again so soon. But you'll never catch me complaining about this event. It's the most diverse in activity and one of the best farming events in DSO. Weather it is getting or perfecting the gear, stocking up on draken/draken cores, glyphs/gold... rare runes... it's just a great event.

Playing it with the 208 changes offers a spin on the challenge of the event... or at least... a comfortably familiar event to get to know new skill sets and group skills.

Did someone say "Desert of essences?" Wow, almost forgot about that one.

 

Dragan can be considered great, simply because you can go on Infernal 3 and have an infinitely resetting map to farm items

 

At that point, is it really a game or have you gone completely insane?

Did anyone else experience infrequent Empowered Cursed Pearl drops from bosses during the last iteration? I don't remember if that was a things, but it seems like there was some conversation about it. The only drops for those pearls, for me, came from the chests after questing. Did anyone grind for hours and notice an infrequent drop rate?

I usually ran the Iron Forest styled map (I'm still working on my 999 Sargon kills quest ) if I was running for pearls. At times, I would get a 50% drop rate (in Fatal). Other times, I could run 10-15 runs in a row and not get one. It was one of the most inconsistent examples of RNG I've seen in this game in a while.
