hi, i've been wondering whats the point of planning, design and implement that many unique wepons in the game and then force every player to use only 1? (herald)

this just makes no sense to me, making 10 weapons then turn 9 into garbage

plus this makes bigpoint bite their own tail because now the difficulty of bosses is adjusted to match herald set damage

 

This, my friend, is a very good point.

I don't know about other classes, but to be fair, rangers also use other unique weapons like Dragan's bow or Blood Rune bow. However, I think those are pretty much just place holders. The truth is what you said. Ultimately Q7 is what everyone wants.
Considering that it takes just as much effort and resources to obtain other Q sets, like Q4, those should be at the same power level or shouldn't exist at all.

 

you can use any bow other than herald burning thunder but it takes double the time to kill a boss. To me, the herald set buff was a mistake, they should have had lowered the bosses hp instead so other weapons could still be an useful choice according to your play style.

 

i use q4 and depending on your build ( weather it isa boss build or mob build ) that is what your performance is based on. Now id say for mages ( since im one ) q4 is far more interesting and better than q7. Boses die fast either ways so it doesnt matter if you get the +150 % dmg

 

That's the thing. Any other bow deals considerably less damage which renders any other bow useless compared to Herald's one.

I don't know the SW class much, but I also think the gap between the Q4 and Q7 set is much smaller for SW than for RA.

 

they also removed the 6% damage effect from dragan items on 1 hand weapons (I hadn't noticed that), so the difference is yet bigger and basically our weapon choices are reduced to (except for mages) 1, pretty disappointing for a 6 years game if you ask me.
