So? Back in 2012 you couldn't reach the damage of an 1h build as 2h, and with ~800-1k dmg you were the king of the game. The game is evolving, you just have to adapt.

I just think people should be able to max their characters using any weapon they want and they should not be restricted to 2H (herald)

and about lower critical hit rate and critical damage, 2 hands weapons still with these lacks do more overall damage than 1 hand weapons

    1H: 20.000 * 80% * 5 = 80
    2H: 35.000 * 70% * 4,5 = 110

also 2 hand weapons have buffs and bonus from sets while 1 hand weapons have (almost) nothing

Really?2 hand players can reach 400% crit? How do they do it?

Sargon should really be put back in game, but he's dead now
Either they are planning in the new pws or as a new event, i recall they promised they would bring him back

But there are also other sets that need to be brought back, leggendary king set, ring of inner fortitude

I will tell you one way, and I'm sure people have a lot more ways to answer this question:

    13x lines of 18.1% critical damage (4x Necklace, 8x on 2 rings, 1x weapon adornment) = 235.3%

Necklace, weapon adornment, ring of Cubes Set = 25%

    Kaylin's cloak = 15%

    30 wisdom points = 24%

    That's a total of 399.3% critical damage.

The thing is players nowadays and bound to one parasitic build that cloud their chances to diversify their character's gameplay.

But then you have to compromise, you would have to lose something else

But then they can put different limits for crit dmg, the limit for 1h players could be 500% or 600% instead of 400%, which will remain the limit for 2h players
it's a example, but that would mean more diversity

That's the basics of everything in DSO... you CAN'T have it all. Since the weapon development: Short weapons are faster, but weaker; long weapons are in the middle of damage and speed, and Double-Handed Weapons are stronger but slower. You can take this simple idea to other Sets, like Dragan's Belicose: It gives you 22% to ALL weapons and an extra 18% to Double-Handed. In change, Yachak's, Keen's, etc. gives you more HP/resources regen./Critical impact instead of % damage.

The thing is, BigPoint after R185 thought it was a good idea to make 2 handed users reach the same attack speed (if not more) as 1 handed speed users, because they have to sell another meta game to keep people investing money/time in Drakensang Online. And with this I'm not saying I'm against all these changes, 'cause I'm not. But people can't always complain about having all in this game simply because developers don't listen the community.

You can't have 30K damage, 5.00 attack speed, 80% crit on Infernal III, and 5x critical damage using Herald's-Karabossa-Dragan all at the same time, not with the actual tier of items. You always have to sacrifice one thing or another. And that's ok. That's all what this game's about. In my case I use Khalys-Lost Legacy-Bearach-Dragan and I'm very conscious I can't deal the same dagame as the config. above, but I like the bleeding debuff in both: Blade Dance/Scatter Shot. And sincerily I don't care if "Top Player XX" kills Sigrismarr in 5 seconds on Infernal III while I do it on 5 minutes dying 10 times, because that's how the game actually works. If you pay and have more free time to develop your character then you will be stronger than someone who plays casual or doesn't pay at all.

PS: I'm not trying to disrespect anyone, just giving my opinion as an old 1 hand player.

But 2 hand players building up to max crit dmg would build a sub optimal build

They should introduce higher limits for attack speed for 1h players, more breakpoints and increase the limits of crit dmg

Also, the long 1 hand weapons are only an option for rangers, other classes do not have that

is not easy to get all of those 18% lines but you can use impact force and critical damage pets.. anyway, 2 hand builds dont need to reach 400% critical damage

that was some sort of balance until the arrive of herald set which overpassed and killed every other weapon in game..

giving that damage bonus to other weapons is not going to make them equal (not even close) to that set damage but at least could make them a little more usable and could also help to diversify the game

  9. sargon234

but they could then put a similar set that gives a similar bonus to herald's set for 1h players

    My fellow Bearach fan :]
Yes, the idea that you can't have everything is good. You can see it best on DK's tank vs 2h build. That is the actual balance: 2h build should deal dmg but go down more easily and vice versa.
The ridiculous att speed you can reach with 2h weapons may be fun but in terms of equipment balancing it defeats the purpose of 1h weapon combos like shortbow + quiver. Critical damage with 2h build can be super high too, so it looks like currently you can (almost) have it all in DSO after all. Even my 2h RA as an average character has over 300% crit.dmg.

(By the way, check the discussion on rangers' Bearach set in the ranger class forum, I'd like to know your opinion on that.)

Anyway, it's fine that Dragan's Bellicose gives the 2h bonus. It wouldn't be a good idea to make the set more versatile by giving it an additional all weapon type bonus.

Just mailed support asking for an update.
They dont have to sacrifice anything
You can use the mainstream sets.
For Q7 users 2 parts q7 2 parts darkness bear belt, 3 parts dragan etc basically you can have 25k crit and 384% cd (400% at bosses)
For my build method that will take about another year to finish (maybe less) max speed dmg crit and cd.

    Everything you said is false.
    1. the game is not evolving it is in free fall.
    2. 2H builds were always having higher damage than 1H
    3. There were no 2H weapons (hoaxbows) back in 2012
    4. When your government i lying and making your life miserable and your life gets harder and harder and you have been stripped off privileges and options once you had ... you don't adapt to changes but you fight back and start revolution OR you emigrate. I have no intention to emigrate.

You can get 400% and you will not lose anything.

But warriors, mages and midgets had two hand weapon

Well, the game is evolving, on some aspects it's better than before, on some it's worse
I would love to have a long bows option for mages and dwarves and warriors

Comrade Trakilaki fighting to overthrow 2Handism?

Well, then 2h is op as hell and 1h players are discriminated
But wait, can you reach it without group talents?
I think you can with 3 objects(2 ring + amulet) with 4 18,01% crit dmg, white karabossa cloak, chicken pet and wisdom points on crit

The problem with 1h is and that is from my own experience.
Your time to kill takes much too long.
    Do the math.
With 1h you can reach 20k dmg max and with 2h you can reach 36-39k max
With both you can reach 400% cd and 25k crit
But speed wise they nerfed 1h it cannot reach the speed you can with 2h because the wisdom for 1h is only 15%,
and ofc the runes for 2h is 16% runes
For my low dmg imperfect 1h weapon with a bit more cd I take twice as long to kill bosses.
Now map wise lets say I had 20k dmg and 400% cd and max speed aka 2.4 (maybe more if I had saphires)
my crits would translate to 40 to 60k in pw.
Now because 2h has more damage if I had even just 35k dmg with that level of cd I would be doing things almost 90% faster
Look at @Slabutul9 he did the dragan spider infernal 3 in 6 seconds.
For a truly balanced experience 1h would have to be able to reach 4 attacks per second
But even if it did that per hit you would use twice as much essences
So 1h is not very economical essence wise or speed wise
It is all about how fast you can kill aka farm because the faster and harder you can farm the easier it is for you to attain goals
And in the end Q7 wins hands down on any set
For me I have to work twice 3 times harder than any witch seeker Q7 user to attain what they have at even just 85 to 90%
My trick is though once I have attained that I will also have 30 to 50% advantage on maps

you can have 95% of maximum offensive stats with 1 hand weapon and you are still inferior to any 80% or less 2 hand weapons character.. thats not fair

that would turn this 1 weapon game into a 2 weapons game, better than nothing though

the real solution was never had implemented herald set and instead balance game for current weapons, but they didnt.. they buffed bosses and made this overpowered set for us to be able to kill that overpowered bosses..

Phyrix 1 hand weapons are faster.. you can reach 3.3 attack speed

Yes but that is only damage wise
If you were to use the wolf slayer shield you would gain armor block rate and a lot of crit cd and speed.
If you used the cube shield you would gain critical damage resist armor and 6% speed (and insane hp if you used the full set)
However this is mostly defensive and partly offensive
Where 2h is totally based on offense but you sacrifice defensive stats.
So the argument is and will always be this.
You can never and will never reach the defensive stats 1h players have, and 1h players can never reach the offensive stats 2h has.
    And if anything thats logic
Like I said before I asked for a refresh of the sargon set.
20% dmg on the weapon and on the shield as unique values (dont know what to ask for the adornment)
However even if you did that 40% extra damage your max damage output will be this:
Where if you went 2h you would get this (the blood rune can reach more)
Both images are at 100% skill damage so this is not smash or anything this is just plain 100% skill damage

But there needs to be a qualitative difference between 1h and 2h builds, book/quiver builds and shield builds.
At least it should be impossible to reach 2.0 att. speed with 2h weapons.

But if you have an overpowered set like q7 but one handed, then the margins might be levelled out

Do you hate 2h weapons that much?
For your needs to break 2h weapons they would have to do the following
Break down 2h wisdom attack speed
    Nerf runes
Remove the 50% attack speed smash bonus from q7

With the attack speed wisdom and bohemoth speed was nerfed, but the thing is and always will be damage per hit.
Lets say the dev team submits to your every desire to remove speed from 2h weapon setups, your problem is and will always be this.
    Damage per hit.
You do 2 hits per second and 2h does 1 hit per second, it would still be more economical to use 2 hand
Because your essence cost is much lower.
I do not understand why you want to do this though.
It would translate into slower farming.

Now lets me make a point of slower farming for you.
Let us take an event like the new moon.
You do x amount of damage at x amount of speed.
Now you need draken core to transfer something or you need it to tier something (like me and my 3 darkness pieces)
It would take you twice as long to farm the wood
Twice as long to kill the bosses
Twice as long to get the core you need to transfer or tier your item.
Now this sounds like meh its only twice as long big deal....
    Wrong
    Very very super extremely wrong.
Do you have any idea how long it takes to get everything full royals?
To make everything t6 level 60?
Now you want to double that time?
Youre telling me that the average 2 years you need for that is too short you want it to take 4 years to attain that
    Damn 4 years
    Nope not me thanks
I am no Q7 suck up and it takes me longer to finish my build because of that
I am not going to spend 4 years of my life trying to attain 300 million glyphs and full royals if anything thats just twice as insane as taking almost 2 years

I don't hate 2h weapons. I'm using one. It's just simple logic that a big heavy thing that does tons of damage is slow. Good balanced games don't give you speed, damage, and critical altogether.
