Hi, I would like to share how bad was the droprate for speedrunes in the latest fullmoon event. I never farmed this much in 3 days but i really wanted to get at least 9 runes... I can tell now it was and is impossible.

I bet there is a limit or a bug with the drops because what i experienced was just crazy in a bad way. I started the event at Friday and farmed the event 12+ hours only in the first day. So the first 10 runs i got 4 runes in that was around 25-30 mins (and most of the players got 2-3 in the first runs too) but after that the droprate went from "something%" to 0%... i farmed the whole day and nothing. Next day i was farming again full day non-stop... after 100+ kills i finally got 1. Now the fun part... i kept farming the bloodmage... today (Sunday) i put another 12 hours into this event and i got ZERO - 0 drops... every damn player i was farming with got at least 1 or 2 runes ofc me 0...

In the 3 days i played more than 36 hours and i got only 5 runes altogether (almost 300 bloodmage kill). It's a shame ! What gives me headache is that all of the runes i got was in the first runs its like there is a higher drop for the first 20 runs and after that 0.000001%... I put a lot of effort into this event and i feel very bad + exhausted... I never experienced anything like this in my 7 years as an active dso player...
I tried infernal 1-2 but mostly on fatal but the result were the same.

Was this any type of BUG or there is a drop limit ? because i don't wanna farm again 30+ hours just to get a few stones because this was not worth...

    1. It's the Bloodmoon or Full Moon event (the New Moon is with the witches).

    2. The two lesser speed runes are part of the event progress, so those will show up at 1650 and 5600 progress respectively.

    3. I've played for over a year with multiple toons and I'm not sure I've ever harvested 5 runes total (as a reward for killing the Bloodmage). Maybe 2-3?

1, [EDIT]:) Sorry im sleepy.... edited the newmoon but i cant rewrite the title maybe a mod will...
2, yep the lesser runes are fix from progress but we can farm the 4% runes from bloodmage which shouldn't be this bad or limited :(

The drop rate of those 4% runes for 2H weapons is low.

You can also buy the next step up (8%) at the jesters for clover.

Do I tell you a sad story? I've never got a single rune from this event since the very first day it was reworked, and I have been playing it every month since then.

It's funny to read this kind of complaint when (at least compared to me) your drop is something I can't even dream of.

Set your expectations lower. I've gotten a whopping 1 rune in maybe an accumulated total of 60-70 runs since I started playing this reworked Full Moon.

I think the drop rate is just strange, this event no one else in my party got a rune but i got 1 in 2 runs back to back. First time i've gotten 2 in one full moon event.
We only ran normal because someone else had suggested that normal had a better drop rate for the runes. Not sure if it's true but it worked for me but no one else i was with.

Wow. Lucky you!! I just wanted 1 rune this event, as I already have 2 and I wanted to craft them. I went 50 times in 3 days, no drop at all.

135 runes x4 is needed for crafting full 5 runes x16 for let suppose a new player who does not have old saphires at all.
Let suppose a very hard working player gets an average of 5 runes per event, then to full craft 5 runes x16 that player needs 27 months.

You tell me if this is insane or not.

    Neither bug nor drop limit.
You actually thought you will get more than 2 runes in a single event??? :D

If that boss was the only way to get the 2H runes... yes, it would be insane.

But, anyone with half a brain will use clovers to buy the 8% 2H runes. Then, you are talking about 675 clovers, or as few as 450 if you use 5x Runes of Enhancement. That seems like a lot, but with gambling, 2-6 a month from dailies, and the occasional event offering a handful, this goes rather quickly. I'd say that getting a full set of 16%s, if that is all your buy, should take about two and a half years years or less. That may sound like a lot, but I farmed for 3+ years and I never actually reached 5x 14% sapphires.

On the topic, I've gotten a grand total of two of the 4% runes since the event was reworked, and that is with dozens of kills since then. Four in one event, and in only 10 runs, is Lottery level luck, and you should be thankful for your insane luck... not crying about your luck returning to normal.
