    Hi,

I searched the forum but didn't find an answer. Is everyone grossing an average of 40 fairy woods per farm-run or is that just me?

On the other hand, I haven't seen any significant change in drops with different difficulties, am I right?

Right now, the only "optimal" way I found is entering a low difficulty Blackborg, running fast killing all the trees... rinse and repeat.

Is there a more efficient way?

    Thanks

Other than occasionally clicking the key amphoras (they can also give wood), not really.

It starts to work out somewhat once you get to the position where you can kill the boss on one cauldron.

The fastest way is to just throw some andermants at amphorae keys and/or directly buy wood. Sadly, since I hate farming the map during non-event times because the drops are essentially the same regardless of difficulty, I have done exactly that. I don't think there's any tricks to getting better wood drops.

  4. I've only noticed bigger wood stacks drop from Amphoras in higher difficulty but I still prefer going through low difficulty running for trees. I always make sure to check all neat amphora spots though, since they drop amphora keys, wood, and scrolls. ^^

It's a little sad that sometimes I get more wood from neat amphoras than from clearing all the trees in Blakborg though..

Ok, I guess I nailed it on the optimal way to farm. Just a note to everybody, I think after all the runs I did, I can say this with 100% certainty: The drop rate for fairy wood is approx. 50% lower during the event.

yes optimal method is best travel speed you can get and just go in normal and kill only the trees dont waste time on other junk mobs and open all of the apmhoras (the free ones) they are giving wood and rare amp key-scroll

from what i have noticed yea the drop rate is lower when the event is active, and there is less tree monsters as well it seems

Since I'm so trying to get Draken Cores, I've been taking notes on the wood drops.

Outside event: 28 to 70 wood, most the time around 40 +-5. Each tree drops +2 wood. Neat amphoras can drop wood x5, x10, and very rare x20. Doesn't matter what difficulty. The truth is that wood should drop in higher amounts at higher difficulties, but it doesn't so farm Normal and Painful and skip everything except the trees and collateral kills.

Inside event: 5 to 28 wood, most of the time around 14. Each tree drops +1 wood. Neat amphoras are the same, but the x20 seems to be rarer by a factor of 3 or 4. Also the x10's are almost as rare as the x20's are outside of event.

End result is drops in event are 66% lower than outside event.

The wood drop rate is the major killing factor for the event. For October's New Moon, I spent 3-4 days farming wood prior to event to get a whopping 1600 (that is a sad number for the time spent when it takes 50 per use). As such, with a good group doing Inf 3 and a half dozen "200 wood resummon" (5 by me and 2 by friend), I was able to get 164 draken cores out of the event.

Once you run out of wood in the event... give up the spider runs for the rest of the event and just do highest level you can to finish the progress fastest (getting the scrolls).

Dev's: You really need to adjust the wood each tree drops to be scaled: Normal = 1, Painful = 2, etc, etc, etc, Inf 3 = 7. This one change would put lots of life into the event.

(That is if the event still exists after the "exciting/terrifying" update that is looming.)
