Not really. I would pick up every herb, rock, and blobby thingy on the ground regardless of how many recipes use it. #hoarder

A lot more useful would be an analysis of best place(s) to farm each thing + difficulty to farm it on. But... the door usually shows where to farm things already. Except the anacampseros, just to confuse people. xD

Not sure what do you mean exactly... but maybe you could check the Mixtures page in the Wiki (and the other ones which that page is linking to), so that you don't repeat the work that has already been done.

And I have a question to the Gurus.

Has anyone tried to test if there are any Travel Speed breakpoints?
Some people told me there are breakpoints every 5%, and some say there are none. Any confirmation?

Ingredients are used for a wide range of recipes. Some recipes may be more important to you than others, so what do you spend them on. For example, the green ingredient from bosses, "Willing Eyes," are used for an above average amount of recipes. Most important to me is their use in upgrading defensive gems. So, every recipe that uses willing eyes other than the gem ones is a "no touch" for me. On the other hand bluebonnet is used for the resource regen based potions, but not much else. That makes it the perfect ingredient to craft with if you are going for one of the crafting achievements (craft x many of x). It would also serve as a quick reference guide. Also, it is interesting to me if there are any ingredients that are not used in any recipe at this time.

also normal ores are completely useless

The only useful ores are found in difficulties from fatal and above

I assume they have some plans with them

    yes, i edited

Maybe they'll implement the fabled essence crafting that this release had at one time before it was taken out

If / when you find the time to write a guide I will use it for sure.

Had concerns there for a time that you were considering moving on from DSO which would be a major loss for the game. As a DK I for one love reading your analysis of items and options. If a recipe guide if half as informative it will make life easier and add more incentive to farm maps I rarely venture to anymore

I was frustrated and demotivated. I knew that much of the farming I was doing before R214 was, to a degree, pointless due to the changes in crafting and other concerns. It took a lot of the fun out of the game, so I was barely playing for about a month and a half. Once the update came, I decided to jump in. With the exception of PvP (it sucks) and sapphires (the great theft), most of the changes came across as acceptable and I found myself back to the grind.

In that case I look forward to reading recipe guide and future insights. Welcome back to the grind :)

Assuming you have an ingredient, you can just right click it onto the workbench and it will pull up the recipes you have that use it.

If i craft with high tier items then do i have more chances to score gold lines?

    thanks in advance :)

You're talking about random crafting, right? Then the answer is yes, based on my experiences crafting.

If you're talking about targeted crafting for enchantments, then no. Higher tiers don't improve your odds of getting the gold lines to transfer over.

He might be talking about that final random line in targeted crafting. My answer is I suspect it might, but am not sure. I have had good random lines when using higher tiered junk items, but there might be a selection bias as I haven't kept track of all my crafts.

    Good point.

On that topic, I don't have enough evidence. Anecdotally, I'd say yes. I've had a surprising number of 4 gold line legendaries pop out when I do exo to legendary crafting, and pretty much all my ingredients are T5+ because of where I farm, so it may be. That said, if the random line is the right type (1/3 chance) or if it is a good value (even lower) that is a whole other question.

Yes, what i mean is the odds of getting gold lines from 4 leg craft. the reason i ask is because when i try crafting with higher tier items the price increases a lot so i was wondering the reason behind that, like why would it be more expensive if chances are the same...

    Then the answer is "no."

Legendary to Legendary crafting has no random enchantments, so there is nothing to be "lucky" with. It is just the normal odds.

If I had to make a guess about the logic for having the higher cost, it comes down to how easily you get gold lines on higher tiered items. For example, getting good gold lines on T0 or T1 items is possible, but unlikely. However, if you got them, you'd end up spending less on the crafting, but it will take you longer due to how hard it is to get gold lines. Compare that to T7. I get gold lines all the time, so I can attempt 3/3/1/1 or 3/3/2/2 or even 3/3/3/3 crafts rather often. This vastly improves the odds that you'll be successful, but at a higher gold cost.

Despite the higher cost, I've crafted more four gold line legendaries in the last three and a half weeks than I'd usually have been able to craft in 6 months, and for less gold.

Thank u and btw, if the chances are the same what would u recommend me to do now?

i got a 255% idoti leg which i would like to turn into a 300% one but getting leg to craft is rather hard now and converting 4 purples into 1 leg until filling a whole inventory space just to start burning money again to try crafting a 4/4 leg seems like a very expensive option...

So should i do that or instead just craft the rest of my gear with 3/4 until i can do higher difficulties and farm better purples to attempt better results?
