It has been known that infernal 7 and t10 is max items ever since they unlocked t10 on test server about a year ago
Now lets say we get to see infernal 7 in all its might and glory in the game someday
Will we be able to drop t11 items or is t10 our max?
Also on which infernal will we see extraordinary and legendary gems?

i guess the maximum tier will ever get is t10, which means the maximum difficulty we will get is inf 7

i guess we'll see extraordinary gems on infernal either infernal 5 and then infernal 7

its becoming a huge joke with this endless tier up,keep adding numbers to keep players busy, same items same maps same grind for different numbers on them items

it dont matter because fighting infernal 1000 monsters using tier 1000 items is the same as fighting tier 1 monsters using tier 1 items, but there will be tier 1001 items probably because they will keep that +1 tier drop

Yes, of course. It's a usual problem in RPGs, isn't it? Why do you level up your character and upgrade your gear in the first place? We can already have the same kind of experience with tier 1 stuff against tier 1 monsters, as you have pointed out.

But perhaps there's more to it. Usually, epic looking stuff with very unique attributes can only be obtained at high levels. So in order to have fun with the game mechanic that the higher level stuff provides to you, you have to level up to that level first. Also, end game stuff usually looks much better, so you may just want to show off, which is reason to get better stuff, too.
Unfortunately in DSO, unique stuff from the PW is the same on tier 1 as tier 7. Only higher stats. That should be redesigned, so higher tier provides more in a qualitative way, not just numbers.

Another reason for RPG leveling or upgrading might be a failure factor. Some players may make a good build, while others may end up with a broken build. That is part of the game, the fact that you can screw up. In a game with no leveling / tier system, you can screw up too, but in an RPG, you have to live with that long-term unless you delete your character. But especially, if you manage to make a great build, which takes you months or even years, you can feel really good about yourself. It's a lot about commitment and stuff.

But mainly the reason for the devs to add new tiers and wisdom levels and whatnot, is that they just need players to stick to playing the game. Before platinum enchantments, for example, once you crafted full gold gear, there was no more room for getting better, except for gems maybe. So platinum enchantments may help to keep you playing more. And it certainly works for me.

Games, online RPGs in particular, are supposed to throw more and more challenges and hurdles in your way, while giving you tools to deal with it. More challenges, more tools. It's turned out to be fun. Although DSO would use some update to make the game loop more interesting. Grinding a few maps over and over may get boring.

Whatever you try to say it will not justify the "progress" of the same items t8 t9 t10 t100000 becouse feels on the same maps.i have the feeling that devs are considering players retarded or something,i can imagine a meeting " the players are bored ,how can we improve our game to keep them busy? ...oh lets just increase the tier of the same weapons and the same other items they have for ages im sure they be happy"

Yep, that's right. What I wrote was more in general. I was trying to think about reasons to have this never ending progression in RPGs. The fact that in DSO, once you make it to the PW and get your first tier 1 or 2 gear, you will never get anything significantly different and qualitatively better, is disappointing.

Perhaps each new tier should add a new attribute to the item. And perhaps each big update that adds new tiers or new wisdom level and such, should also add new locations and enemies... Although, we technically got new dungeons in r214, right?
You know what I think? Next big update will drop level 60. And then a new wisdom level. We can only hope that more real content comes along with that.

Actually they can do lots and lots to improve map variety
firstly they can add "leader mode"
this mode all the monsters are leader monsters
    they can add frenzied mode
this mode all mobs are frenzied
they can add dungeons with countdown timers and you only have x amount of time then get kicked from map and fail
each of these modes can spawn randomly in a pw dungeon.
they can call it challenge mode and it has an additional slider on top of difficulties
then they can scale it too example a dungeon can have 1 random mode or 2 or 3 or even 5 modes
here we are fighting 1 boss at a time
I would have loved to see a team up mode between bosses
Like sargon and dragan in 1 room and they both drop core
or the black widow and dragan teaming up
imagine arachna and grimm at the same time :D

I fully agree with that IKILLGIANTS, I like it better when it was only 1 tier of items, 1 difficulty level, and the parallel world. o_O

Who said "you must tier up to last tier"?
That is a content for top players.
Now any noob can get 4x max gold lines on item even without crafting. So what do you expect? Noobs just asking for power all the time ... equality with those who played for years ... but they want it all in 1 month?
Tier+1 and platinum lines are challenge for those who are willing to sacrifice without whining.
If you are not one of them ... well get out of the line and wait for your turn ... when you are actually capable to take the challenge.
No one is forcing anyone to tier up beyond what they can get.

"who said you must tier up to last tier" omg trakilaki you start to sound like a dev,you know very well thats not the point, the point is they develop the game in the same only direction t1 t2 t3 t4 t5 t6 t7 t1k its just a cheap way to pretend they improved the game when in reality they didnt,a simple question in forum would bring them loads of ideas from players but no, they will just increase tiers and them stupid enchantments

We both know noobs will still be complaining even if they get everything they want.
    That is the point.
Well the previous way was much better ... but you didn't like it either :D
