I have a list of observations that I'm planning on sharing with the community once I find the time to type it up. Suffice it to say, you should keep working on a second 3/4 legendary and then use any 1/4 or 2/4 legendaries that drop or are random crafted to improve your odds. With the recent changes, I think a 300% weapon is well within your reach.

Why would you ask such guide from Baragain when we are already in process of making a huge guide together with ΣMiwel on DSO Wiki? :)

Yes it is still available ... you can buy it at the merchant in Kingshill, Grimford and Werian. OR you can farm it in all regions up until Jarlshofn ... up to T6

dude ... that is the old system showing up calculated damage per second and attacks per second.
That is not a base attack speed. The base attack speed is 1.00 but the enchantment of 17% faster attack speed is calculated in the displayed outcome.

You can´t. In event maps you can do only 6-8 floors.

    Hello again,

Is it possible to further upgrade gems for a higher quality than radiant? If so, please tell me how.

Finish part 7/9 of the "From Disaster to Master" quest line (once you reach LVL 45+), and you will unlock Flawless, Sacred, and Royal gem crafting.

Also, I see you are LVL 44 and doing the Secret Lairs solo on painful, while accessing it from the event. You are pretty much doing everything you shouldn't.

    1. Save your passes for when you reach level cap so that the drops you get will have the potential of actually being useful in the long run.
    2. Don't waste passes on Painful. For that matter, don't waste them on Excruciating or Fatal either. Use them on higher difficulties for more clovers and higher quality drops.
    3. Don't access the map from an event. That gives you 8 platforms instead of the 12 you'll get if you enter from the Parallel Worlds. That means less drops, and you miss out on a second special platform.
    4. Unless you are they type who can do these on T7 solo, don't go solo. Instead, go as a part of a team and see point 2. If you go in as a part of a group, you'll be able to handle higher difficulties (even if the team is similar in strength to you and isn't carrying you). You'll spend less essence, won't need to spend ander on revives, and will have an easier time clearing the map.

I'm not trying to be rude, but with how limited a resource the secret lair passes are, I hate to see them go to waste because of inexperience. I'd hate it if you looked back a year from now and say to yourself "Man, I wish someone told me not to waste them back then."

In every attack speed breakpoint table, all the breakpoints are only for the odd frame numbers... and from experiments in-game it seems there are no even frame number breakpoints.

    Question to the gurus:
Is there any reason for even breakpoints not to exist?

Thanks. I must have somehow missed/forgotten that post!

On the other hand, that is only the reason for why the breakpoint frame numbers are separated with one (placed every two frame numbers), but not a reason for the numbers being odd. Just like, if it was simply all multiplied by 2, they should be even.

Edit: New question to the Gurus.

Do you think that they have a function that determines the armor/res converting factors (and maybe a second one for the crit/block)? Or do they just type in the values manually each time they rise the level cap/add new infernal modes?
    I mean this function [IMG]
I have calculated manually (by solving the equation) the factors for the infernal modes up to inf4 (I wrote the infernal factors in the wiki and made the diagram that's underneath in that article), but I'm curious if there could be a method to divine straight out the factors for all the levels and maybe even for the future infernals.

I'm not sure about the first half (calculating the value based on the level), but it seems a little arbitrary. When they released LVL 55, they also changed how items worked (base stats, enchantments, quazah gems), but they never went back and rebalanced the lower levels when they extended the changes to the base stats system to lower level items. That is why, in my opinion, characters feel so strong compared to the content up to about LVL 50, but then things feel like they get much harder, much quicker. There may be an equation, but I'd need to gather more constant values for 1, 5, 10, 15.... 35, 51, 52, 53, and 54 to have enough data to even attempt to find a real curve fit.

On the other hand, there is a very simple equation governing the difference between Infernal 0 (Normal-Fatal) and all the other Infernal difficulties. Take a look at the attached lazy excel charts.

So, we can calculate that the constant for Infernal V will be approximately 12800, and it will take 51200 armor to get to 80% in Infernal V. By then, they should also be introducing Extraordinary Royal Gems, so that will help people reach that seemingly insane number.

Of course they do ... some values are predetermined by levels and multipliers. Infernals have additional multiplier.
I made a post with crit hit example some time ago ... but I can't find it and I don't feel a need for calculations @3am XD

BTW ... you are off topic :p

Considerîndu that good free rds disappered from game, do you thin k stilul IDOTI is more apropiate?

    Thanks.

Yes, because even with the new greens/whites, %IDotI will be better or at least only marginally worse. The difference is, even if the a single line of %Damage were negligibly better, you'd still be using them on the easier content and saving your reds for when it matters. Then, when it matters most, I'm sure you don't want to have sub par DPS with reds because you chose to have a slightly easier time on easier content.

To quote myself from the thread I wrote on this before:
The logic still holds true, even if I haven't done the new math for the new essence in the unlikely event that the white/greens would be slightly better in a mixed weapon vs a pure %IDotI one.

Question for the gurus. If I am farming cores and I wish to maximize augment and pristine over others, how to proceed. I see a couple of scenarios and subjective testing comes up short handed.
    1. If I go to my favorite PW map and farm cores by doing a full map run, I get a drop of cores that are likely to be materi, but may be augment or pristine. This isn't fast, but I am also picking up frags along the way with which I can ultimately buy te cores of my choosing.
    2. If I farm Asar (or similar overworld boss) I can get the needed keys quickly on Inf 3 desert. I'm told only n00bs go there but I know of no faster way to pick up so many keys in so short a time. I farm the boss who mostly drops tellurian, but can also drop augment and pristine cores. Further, the cube drop is high since I am constantly hiting the boss at a much faster rate than a PW boss whom I run full map on to earn materi frags with. These cubes can drop at random, the cores I am looking for.

Now on the surface I am leaning towards Asar farming. I don't care about the mod unless higher tier cubes result in more core drops which I haven't seen, and painful results in a net higher core gain regardless of type..

My question is, based on the above assumptions which I believe to be true, which one is mathematically faster for farming the desired cores?

And of course, if my assumptions are wrong, please point out why.

    Thanks in advance.

Don't go to your favorite PW map but to the Fastest PW map ... which would probably be Q1.
Do fast full runs on Infernal ... you will always get Pristine cores from the chest + random cores + materi fragments so you can buy Augment cores. You would get cubes too ... a chance to get few more cores.

I actually find Khalys on Inf 1 or 2 to be fastest (don't forget wuest guidance so you always know which is her). Then use frags to buy augment.
