When I got to Splintered City, all I had was T0 equipment. Your way ahead with all that T-4, -5, and -6 equipment.
Assuming that you don't have a guild:
    • Start with the quest on Grimmagstone. Once you get the "# kills" done on the first map and it's time to go after the white knight and Grimmag boss ask around for assistance to do those two (5 times each, in 5 runs) on painful alone (should be do-able) or ask for assistance on higher levels. At a minimum, start melting anything that is pink or above that isn't usefull to get Glyphs of Power to start leveling up what you're wearing towards 59 and eventually 60.
    • Repeat the first step with each of the other PW doors.
    • Try and find a guild. They will help.

If you do have a guild, change to another one cause the one you are in should have already told you what you should be doing and helping you with the PW quest steps.

    • Keep up the Events (except this rediculous PvP one that doesn't help you at all anyway). The Black spider queen is a good weapon adornment and boots.
    • Watch every level you go that is higher than your current uniques for legendaries that you can use to augment your uniques. A simple 2H leg staff from Painful will help that staff as soon as you get it glyphed to 55. (More so, hope you get a Lvl 55 drop before then.)

    • Remember that any glyphs put into something now can be moved to something else later. You don't loose them. Never sell a glyphed item, alwasy melt it. Or remove the glyphs first, then sell it.

Those blue gloves can be made level 60 really easily. And nearly so with the purples. Those will give you good boosts to start with.

Looks like You are going in the wrong direction.
You seem to have quite high armor and health compared to crit and damage, which makes me think that most of your rings have increased health on this item and torso have armor lines.

This is the wrong way to go.

Damage is everything. Well pretty much.
Concentrate on getting more damage, attack speed, critical hit rate and critical damage. All other stats are secondary.

Here are the attribute lines that You should be looking on each item:

Weapon: Increased damage on this item
Weapon Decoration: Increased critical hit rate on this item
    Amulet, Rings: Critical Damage %
Belt, Helmet, Torso: Increased Damage %
Pauldrons: Witch Seeker Pauldrons with Increased Damage %
    Gloves: Attack Speed %
Boots: Walking Speed % or Increased HP on this item

Also, try to get Green Raptor Damage Pet and use the 2 hour Damage Buff in addition to always using White or when affordable Green or better essences.

ahh ok. Many people are talking about crafting is the way to go but how does that work?

    --- MERGED ---

Hi there. About crafting check out the following:

    1) Crafting 2.0

    2) Crafting - extension

    There are fewer and some different kinds of crafting cores nowadays but I believe that the above- mentioned articles will help you to grasp the idea of crafting and how it all works;

    regards,

There are a number of things that determine a person's damage. The most important is their weapon, which has a base value as well as damage gems multipled by up to 4 lines of Damage on this Item. On its own, that gives you thousands of base damage from weapon alone. This is added to all the base damage from every single item you own. Then, every item with enchants of Increase Damage then multiply your base dmg. It's easy to see what your total is when looking at your character stats (Default C).

Nearly all players get damage on every single item that allows it, with some exceptions being crit rate enchantments on helmet and such in some cases. They can get roughly 40% increase damage on any of those items with regular gold enchantments, and those items include torso, helmet, as well as belt. Then they also have increased damage from unique effects such as your good ol' Khalys cape that gives you 4.5%.
It may not seem like much but the sets add up, and people might have a 300% damage multiplier, probably more for good players. That's how they end up with huge numbers. I hope that helps, message me on discord - Jhinstalock#3520 if you need to know other stuff about endgame item builds or crafting :)

4 Lines on item will always be better, especially when using better essences.

    Hi guys.

I would need expert crafters advice ;)

On the left, my equiped Bearach's staff, tier 7, with damages only at 71% of the maximum value.

On the right, a newly droped Bearach's Staff, only tier 4, but with damages at 98% of the maximum value

To up new staff tier from 4 to 7 would require 300+350+400 = 1050 augment cores I could buy for about 300K Materii Fragments I already have.
With these 300K materii fragments, I could have bought 4 Staffs tier 7, with the hope of getting a 98% or more maximum damages value, but I already tried this way, and it was not a great success, so I'm tempted to try the augment cores way.

Am I right with that ?

And if I go the augment cores way, should I transfer enchantments from the legendar bellow before having increased staff tier or after ?

Would "increase tier then transfer enchantments" gives the same results as "transfer enchantments then increase tier" ?
Transfering on a tier 4 staff would be cheaper than on a tier 7 staff wouldn't it ?

Thanks for your advices, and sorry for my bad English speaking.

T4 - T8, do it and enjoy. Finding a 98% damage is very very hard.

It's not 100% so just melt it and search for new one :D :D :D
(It's a joke just craft that one with 98%)

100% worth it. Just a conservative estimate, you'd gain about 1750 or more max damage if you craft and augment it to T8, and easily up to 2000 if you have some nice gear to support it. When you reach the level you are at, few things will improve your DPS so suddenly and drastically. You will not regret it.

Don't even think about trying to spend that 300k+ Materi frags on looking for a T7 with a 98%. More than likely, you will end up frustrated with buyer's remorse. Going with the Augment Cores is the sure thing.

Regarding Crafting order, transfer the 304.7% to the T4, and then augment that sucker to T8 as soon as possible. The results are the same, but the Pristine and Materi core cost will be lower. If you're like me and have thousands of both of those cores, the difference is less important, but I'm OCD about being efficient with my materials.

Thanks a lot for your answers.

My first thought was "Again a tier 4 staff I'll melt soon", before I saw the 98% damage value, lol.
Fortunately, my second thought was "Let's ask to expert players what can be done with it and if it's worth it!"

You made it clear how exceptional this staff is (and how lucky I was to drop it).

Thanks Baragain for answering to my question about the operations order. I have some Pristine and Materii cores, not so much I could tell I'll never be short with them, but as I am quite OCD about beeing efficient too, I'll do it the way you said :)

I've got a t1 91% base weapon in my inventory...
I'm going to tier it up when I have the resources... never got anything better.

So yes, that t4 98% is for sure an extremely lucky hit!

I already did what your about to do.

One word of advice: collect all the cores needed to do the soul transfer and then the augments to T7 at one time in one setting. You will hate the struggle if you try to stagger the augments over time.

And mine was a 95% damage. And dropped as a T4. Congrats on the great drop.

Hello all, I've returned to the game since about 1,5 to 2 months I believe. I stopped playing last summer so it wasn't too massive of a break.

I'd like to show my items and ask for some advice.
Here's a picture of my stats with only white essences:
https://imgur.com/a/Hu4m6Wi (using the images function didn't work...)

    Here's a link to my items : https://imgur.com/a/OUzFnhB.
The Sigrismarr torso and the Mortis ring aren't in use at the moment, I'm in doubt if I'll uptier them and use equipment refiners to get that 5th gem slot (I'm in a massive shortage of materia cores).
I'm using the Q7 set, I want to get the New Moon set (the old one, without the torso) and the Q9 set. I think if I ever get to it I'll be using 2 Mortis rings as well.

Thanks for the advice in advance

    1. Sigris' torso is currently meta for the mages together with the adornment, since the freezing works on the bosses and so you can get the buff there. It's especially efficient at PW Khalys (q5).
    2. 5th slot is added with any craft (I think you know this). You lack materia cores? Try to farm some, it's worth it.
    3. Keep in mind that Dragan's set is meta. I don't like the fact, but you will probably want to use 3/4 dragan's set when the event comes.
    Regarding image embed function...
    [IMG][IMG]
As you see, it works: the only thing you need is the image link. Click one of the links you provided, right click the image and click "copy image adress" or such. This is the link you have to paste.
It's also a good practice to put lots of images (like the gallery with items) in a spoiler tag, like this:
    Code:
