Ok here is the deal. I am not going to comment on the event since I agree with most of what ppl have said above but here is my part.
Last event I was lucky to drop the Lesser Rune of Poisonous Thorns from Morblick, so I thought why not try to craft Amulet of Deflection.
I even finished about 32 of the mini ( Rampaging Worms ) to get Wyrm Poison. Then I begun to farm for the 80 Ornery Wild Rose Tubers
    needed to craft the Amulet.
Guess what...thats right they DONT drop. It was an average of 1 drop every 5 runs on the 24 key map (normal or painful mode).
So with simple math I figured it would take me about 9600 sewer keys to gather 80 of those.
    Well dear DSO team ....NO,NO,NO.
I REFUSE TO MELT MY BRAIN FARMING 9600 KEYS TO CRAFT THIS.
And note that this comes from a CORE gamer that farms for all 4 classes in high end level.
    Thank you very much.

I don´t think core gamer farms all 4 classes at once :D

Yet another bad event in a slew of bad events.

I award you no points and may god have mercy on your soul.

This is my first Sewers event, and I have to admit I'm quite a different gamer than several years ago - i.e. I did not spend time reading guides, I just played the event based off in-game descriptions. Despite just stumbling along, the directions for what to do were quite clear. However, the event is... dry. Exceedingly so. If the main questline could be made a little more robust, or perhaps numerous side quests from multiple NPCs added, and monsters in the sewers given some more varieties, I think it could be greatly improved.

I had a few amphorae keys to burn, and I have to admit, that made a huge difference in quality of life when playing. I get it - you're trying to monetize the game because this is how the game continues to run. But making the event essentially a pay to play event is hella boring. Once I ran out of keys, the event became a complete drag. So many shiny objects on the map, so few I can actually click. :( I would really rather have more cosmetic items being offered rather than paid events.

I believe as of the time I'm writing this, the first challenge may have launched, but I haven't played it yet. If time permits, I may give feedback on that later.

Overall this should be a great event, but is held back by two very major problems so far.
Problem 1: The drop rate of the Valve Handles is completely terrible. I've nearly a hundred of the other 3 parts.
Problem 2: The drop rate of the parasites is completely terrible. I've enough of the other parts to make 25K/35k/36k antidotal essence, but struggle with only a few thousand that isn't getting the job done.

Another 2 minor problems are the Rat King rate and the fact that the Fancy Rat never drops his pet. I see the Fancy Rat is in the time line, but major problems 1 & 2 will keep most from ever reaching the 8th progress bar.

Major problem 3 could be Morbik if they didn't fix the last run of this event that ended in total unplayable disaster. We wait to see.

    People play this event?

Best chance of rework on this event is when people stop playing it....pretty sure this event is the worse of everything in this game. (stellar gold comes pretty close in 2nd place)

I play the event because I like finding the Piggies. :)

Otherwise, it is pretty boring. As Silverseas mentioned, there aren't enough quests, varieties, and the pay to play is getting old.

the bad thing about the event are the tickets to the maps, too expensive 36 keys in inf 3 xd, their drop is not very good. lately the events that request more tickets due to greater difficulty become an abandonment, nor does buying that cloak solve that problem.

Yes, people play the event. You shouldn't buy the cloak, you shouldn't pay real money beyond premium/deluxe and maybe an occasional (3-4/year) andermant purchase.

What we need is the Valve Handles dropping at the same rate as the other 3 pieces (without a decrease in the other 3 drop rates) and the parasites dropping at the same rates as the other 3 pieces (without a decrease in the other 3 drop rates).

We, as a party of 5, on Friday had great fun thru the Sewers under the Crypt and Sewers under the Castle doing the first 6 bars (totals 5-6K progress). Now I'm about 5.2K in the seventh bar and have run out of "steam" as I need antidotal essence (via lots more parasites dropping and the real crafting of the game).

Different parts are problematic for different people, but in general the drops are very uneven, and everyone has one part that is clearly a limiting factor.

That's only because you have turned in (like many people) the bugged quest a few editions ago at least once. This provided you at least one thousand of Andermight Dust to start with. Those who haven't struggle with the dust the most.

Personally, I'm not really going to do this event... maybe a few runs here and there. Special essence is too big a problem. Drop rates of those parts should be way higher, and certainly not that biased.

For me the dust is the 25K. The rat lures are the 35K and the Lilies are the 36K. However, I can see what you mean there. The dust is, now that I think on it, a low drop rate as well.

Gee, BP, how about a 1000 parasite bonus code or bug??? Come on.. you know you want to give it to us..... ;)

GREAT event so far! Mini starts 2morrow and thats where the trouble begins as the promised improved ess-drops are a downright LIE!
So as I predicted, this will be a P2W for most people!
It can be done on F2P-accs, but with no info for new players 2 prepare or even understand what going on in this over-comlicated event, its undoable for all new players!

Main event: Good rewards, but WHY give useless rewards like inventory expansion, wisdom etc... Instead: Give us a few K ander, so we can buy what we need, TY! Also: Reasonable lenght IMHO!

Micro Events: I STILL have a problem w Stahlgard, as I HATE that map! But other 11 maps are GREAT! Rewards are AWESOME

Mini Event: Starts 2morrow, so no feedback there yet!

Regarding the Jesse/Hansen-stream: Why make em LIE about increased droprate of ess, when there is none? YEP The Sewer-key-drop IS fixed! But tha MAIN problem w no ess 2 farm still persist!
Also: Why make Jesse/Hansen say for months now: "Regarding the CE, we cannot confirm, nor denie that lvl 60 is cmin!" and then on testserver leak the fact that lvl60 IS comming this CE?
-I mean: Jesse especially, but also Hansen have absolutely NO idea on how 2 play Drakensang, and hiring these 2 as "Community Managers" and make them stream in english when they:
    #1: Cant play the game!
#2: Have NO idea what they are doing!
#3: Does NOT know how 2 speak english!
#4: Equip them w game pics and icons, they have no idea what actually is!
#5: Make them do streams that are SO CRINGE, that even the CMs admits it 2tal cringedom?
#6: Why not just hire that monkey finally?
#7: At least most monkeys does not drink beer and then go pee evry 20 mins while streaming!
#8: A monkey also has the added benefit, that it can actually be trained! =o)

What leak? That the CE teaser box CURRENTLY requires level 56 to open? That is not sufficient evidence of level 60.
Will the CE teaser be ready at the same time as the 10th anniversary event? If not then BP have to prevent players to open the CE teaser box before the CE teaser is ready/deployed to live. The easiest way how to accomplish it is to set the box level to 56. When the CE teaser is deployed the box level can be adjusted to 55 and lifetime of the box set to 14 days...

    Sewer key drop = 0; 50-80 / hour!
    Inf 3 = 36 key!
This is a very bad game!

Alright, as mentioned above, I'll throw in my two cents about the challenge events. These challenges are indeed challenging - in terms of keeping my interest.

For starters, the event description on the event window was fairly vague. I understood which map to go to - but where to get Drillheads? Took some googling and prodding old friends to find an answer. It would be greatly helpful to new players if the event window explained:
    • Where to get Drillheads
    • Drillheads are needed summon the worms
    • Worms drop progress
I meeeeean, I eventually figured it out. But considering these challenges only run for 2 hours, less time spent searching for info = more time to actually do the challenges.

I can't say the challenge rewards sparked much interest. I have noticed upon my return that there seems to be a lot more gear/runes/whatever with a specific resistance type - which is suggestive the development team is trying to push us towards having gear for specific situations. I'm not against this idea at all, but there is a lot of background work that needs to go into developing it. Otherwise, with just the odd item here and there, I think it's not going to get a lot of uptake from the community. By this, I mean, if I am farming a poison boss and I'm going to switch to an andermagic one, I don't want to have to waste 20 minutes and a bucketload of gold carefully swapping GoPs, gems, runes (and making sure I don't accidentally destroy a vital piece of gear) each time... then swapping back once I'm done.

I don't want to the same pointless thing hundreds of times in a short time-span. So I decided, after a few runs, to skip this event and play another game. And even spent money on that other game.

Yet another lost opportunity for BP. But maybe the whale hunting made up for it.

You were able to clock on the mounds of dirt? I rarely do these micro challenges but thought to try for the gem reward but to no avail. I have 55 drillheads, and have tried a number of maps, finding all 5 mounds, and finding I could not click any of them. I am sure I'm missing something cause it has worked in the past but am totally drawing a blank on this one.
