When Teddy Bear says they are merging Balor & Tegan WHAT does she exactly mean?? Is Balor being merged to the Tegan server? Is Tegan being merged to the Balor server? Where is the Balor sever located? I play the Tegan server because of the ping result, I have 25-30 MS. I have no interest in playing this game with a 100-200 MS.

The info is uber confusing ... but from the text itself, by using logic ... I can only conclude that it is not a "server merge".
It probably means Tegan and Balor will be both physically replaced .
Tegan is at same location with Agathon and Balor is at same location with the other EU servers ... they will probably move Tegan at different place (or different server provider) and they will do the same with Balor. In theory that would help servers increase their performances.
It is not a case of merging two servers ... at least that is my comprehension of the announcement XD

hmmmmm yes it is confusing. Like all of Bigpoint announcements they give no details. But you say Balor is in Europe? And you believe it to be new server not merging. Looks like I am screwed. Being playing this game 7 years looks like the fun will end. I play Tegan for my ping. I have tested the Europe servers and Have 150-250 MS... Game unplayable pretty much for USA players in Europe. Already in Teddy Bears announcement she is telling players to contact support if they have lag or can't log on. Sounds like they know they are gonna lose players.

Agathon and Tegan not same location. Tegan West coast USA. Agathon East coast. 3,000 mile difference. All the Europe servers closer in distance to one another then the two USA servers.

This is big, they have had to be planning this for months. Yet they announce it today and do it tomorrow. No time for players even to give input on the matter.

What I find interesting is that since Tegan and Agathon servers are in California....
Of that, @cigarbennett, via @_Baragain_, I have proof of Agathon's "location" in southern California. @_Baragain_ was military and got relocated to California, where he found a < 15ms latency time before getting to his permanent housing at the base he went to (where he had an 18-20ms latency).

And since Agathon is the "East Coast" US server, it makes me wonder how far they're going to move Tegan and why not move Agathon instead?

Oh, and @cigarbennett, for furthur proof, I'm on Agathon. In Wyoming. And my normal latency is 45ms. Most of my guild is in the Eastern time zone and they all have latencies of 65-95 because of how much further away they are than I am.

OH, and by the way, the announcement is for server MIGRATION, _not_ MERGER. The servers are being migrated (moved) to new locations. ;)

Yea if you read the comments Traki already said that they are moving not merging. Moving what does that mean? Moving to another room, another city, another state, another country. So much of this garbage Bugpoint posts has zero if any details.

Already r239 is such a cluster they are doing a hotpatch tomorrow. So tomorrow is a hotpatch and moving servers to a location only God knows.

[EDIT] may have nice art work, and pretty graphics. But they know zero about running a business. Maintaining their customer base, keeping repeat customers.

Well went pretty much the way I figured it would. They were two hours behind schedule... and not that any of you care my problem not yours. MS went from 30MS to 50MS. Playable but a joke from what it was. Question is do I put a ticket to support. Teddy Bear advice to give ticket to support if problems after migration. Knowing support just be a waste of time.

Problems? Man, I have 70-90ms on Grimmag normally (living in central Europe), and it's not a latency a human being can really feel. Our nervous system has more latency.

lol, now also getting spikes of 400, 600, 1000MS. So lets see before migration it was 30MS after Migration 50MS. With out getting a calculator that is roughly 65%. Why would any video game player/customer be happy with a 65% decrease in speed and game quality. Bigpoint just doesn't get it all these little things just pile up on players until one day they just leave. Have seen it happen players gone over and over. SMH

Never fear good heroes of Dracania, there will soon be an attire available for sale that reduces ping times by 50% (Usable during event only).

Both Agathon and Tegan were located in the area of San Francisco.
But something weird is happening right now ... the tracert is pointing only to Hamburg Germany.
On top of it the latency is ~140ms but it was around 240ms in the past ... in same time latency to Grimmag has not been changed.
According to that the server has been probably moved to another closer place in USA ... and the place has been renamed Hamburg :D

BTW Tegan and Balor are not even working for me.

I'm in the US, Southern California ... Tegan has my first account. I've recently taken up reviving the 4 toons on that account, playing minimally but daily. I'm not having any problems with Tegan.

FYI: 26ms ping (from in-game monitor).

Well Agathon and Werian next SMH. Along with the increase in MS and all the MS spikes. Now add in this new error 27 map loading thing, that I never had before.

I am using IE 11 ... I am not using the client.
Since recently ... the Test Server, Tegan and Balor can't be reached via IE11. Their homepage is not working , which means you can't login and play. The homepage is working in Firefox but the game can't be played in Firefox.
In same time the homepage of the other servers is still the same.
That probably means they screwed up the TS homepage and then (because of the excellent QA) they spread the issue on those two servers ... since they have been relocated.
This is what is happening on all 3 pages

What OS do you use? I guess the problem is that server's certificate can't be validated. Test Server, Tegan and Balor uses different certificate than the rest servers. May the problem can be solved by importing "Let's Encrypt Authority X3" or "DST Root CA X3" certificate into OS.

If I have spare time maybe I will try it out ... it is not a priority for me right now as I don't play on TS for a longer time. I just wanted to check on something and I noticed It is not working.

You might need though. I'm not sure about you, but I just checked and nothing except Heredur and Grimmag works for me on IE11. Since Grimmag is being migrated tommorow... well...

They're in Windows7 by default. In almost every modern OS actually.

Also, I am unable to find the exact cause beyond it being a "Handshake Failure" at the moment of ServerHello (so, by the looks of it, right before the supposed certificate exchange - exactly one packet before it, comparing to the exchange through another browser). Tests done on connection attempts to stablebuild.drakensang.com.

Connecting to stable through IE11 works fine for me, Win 10 btw. Just fyi some days ago the instance got a hardware upgrade and was facing connection/performance issues, although fixed rn
