I returned to this game about a month ago, and over the last month, I've come to realize what bothers me so much in this game. It's a mouse-killer. Let me explain.

First you kill the monsters. Then you pick up the loot (click-click-click). Then you open your inventory and identify every single item (click-click-click). Then you decide you don't need these items so you go to sell/melt them (click-click-click).

Then you repeat this cycle until you quit the game again, or get repetitive motion injury from clicking too much, or your mouse breaks and you need to buy a new one... again.

I think I may have played too many other games in the last little bit, so I'm not used to this endless clicking. I really would like autoloot to eliminate the first round of click-click-click. Then I would also like items to drop pre-identified to eliminate the second round of click-click-click. And there should be a few simple buttons on the shop interface that allow you to sell all to eliminate the third round of click-click-click.

The game has evolved a lot from when I first started playing it in 2013. Inventories have expanded and loot quantity has increased, but the other aspects of inventory management in the game haven't kept up with it. I remember a few years ago the devs made the case that they wanted to keep the identification system to keep the "excitement" of identifying good loot. If such a feature is really necessary, just add a button to "identify all" for those of us too lazy to keep breaking our mouse.

You just need to set up one of your extra mouse buttons on a repeating click. That way you hold extra mouse button and sweep your "pointer" over the items. ;)

I'm assuming your using one of the modern mice that has several to lots of extra programmable buttons, like most people out there.

Me? I play with a circa 1997 Logitech Trackman Marble +. It has a left button, a middle "button"/"up down scroll wheel", and a right button. No extra buttons. Best "mouse" ever created, but Logitech no longer supports it so I use a generic Microsoft driver and keep on going. :)

That's a good possibility. However, I always felt that was a cheaty approach to the solution, and I'm not sure macros were permitted in the game. o_O (Are they?) I only remap specific keys to my mouse that I can't reach with my hands to execute more skill and attacks.

Yes we can all confirm that it got easier. But we have to accept the fact that this is just voting.

a long time ago i played a game that had a pet that would convert items on the floor to money it was like 80% of the value when you walked over them, maybe that could work here..? alot of the time i dont even take blue items and pink sometimes too its just soooo much clicking
maybe a pet that aouto sells blue items and 1 for pink? it would be optional since its a pet for those who need to craft
even if it was 50% of the value i would still use it to save my fingers the pain...

I have often wondered why they just don't have auto pick up on every thing. They are always trying to slow players down. Auto pickup would force players to constantly stop sell, melt, trow away items. As it is now players just pick up what they need leave the rest behind. Auto pick up most time inventory will be full after first PW map.

Auto ID,,, hmmm maybe. Again though players don't want to look at every thing. They are only interested in certain things they are trying to craft. Might save time, nvr gave it much thought.

Auto sell OMG would be a total cluster. I could see it now players would bomb bard Support with stuff they sold by mistake. All day long they would be complaining about how support won't give them something back. Do not like this at all. I also see no time saver in it. When you pick things up it is random. It is not like all the blues are on one page, all the unique on one page etc.... you still have to sort it. Melt some, sell some, id some, save some.

I see some advantage to some of what you suggest and also disadvantages to it. For me I don't care really I guess. Would adapt either way.

Oh I didn't vote I don't see an advantage to most of it. And your final option is misleading, no one likes clicking the mouse over and over. Last option should be something along the lines of don't care, doesn't matter, no opinion. Which is where I am on the subject doesn't matter won't effect game much either way. Other then the auto sell thing would cause more problems then resolve.

Indeed, I've played games where you could activate sell x type of item automatically so you don't even have to see it.

Yes, auto pick up can fill your inventory up faster, but if you combine it will the other suggested features, it should not be an issue. Instead, I can spend more time focusing on combat or harvesting alchemy ingredients instead of: kill monsters, pick up loot, open some chests, pick up some alchemy ingredients, then repeat until inventory full, then I'm stuck right clicking to ID everything, then selling.

While I call it a "sell all" button, they can always differentiate it. Eg. Sell all Common items, Sell all Improved items, Sell all Magic items, Sell all Extraordinary items, Sell all Legendary items. Sell all On this page. (And if the BP is really looking for a way to monetize, sell "locks" to put on items you don't want accidentally sold.)

hmmm sounds like a lot of programing on their end.. I still don't see a lot of advantage to it. I knew couple players programed their mouse for auto sell. sold their universal maps being in a rush. Had to listen to them whine for weeks about how they had to spend 9k ander for another one. But hope you get your wish. I hope for the rest of us they give us an on & off button for it. Quack Quack rubber duckie.

Yea definitely need something. Especially when there are a lot of stacked "dead bodies" on the ground with too many loots.

But let me tell you something..
So.. I had a 3 day premium from a Code and apparently Premium auto-picks Quest & Event items when you walk close/over to them, just like Wisdoms, Anders etc without a Premium.

    Now that's some bs.

That being said.. They still have to click on gems, items etc
Don't know if Deluxe offers more though.

    Increased auto pick up range.

Which is hilarious because sometimes I kill something and I just see keys/coins/whatever being vacuumed up even though I'm standing a short distance away. xD
