If you want to play a static game that doesn't change, I'd suggest you purchase some offline games to play. It's the nature of online games to change.

However, I wonder if BP needs to hire new peeps in the marketing department because their marketing of this new expansion has been a bit of a flop so far. On the other hand, if their goal was to generate buzz by creating mass confusion, I suppose you could say they're doing just fine.

Considering the mass changes coming down the pipeline, the BP team probably should have considered marketing it as "Drakensang Online 3.0" (or whatever). I suppose then they'd have to start making classic servers too, just like other popular games, so people can relive the good ol' grind of Grimmagstone, being one-shot by peeps with red ess and buffs in PvP but zero skill, and the extremely high skill level required for explosion farming maps. :D

Before you go about pontificating, I was absent from this game very recently for the last 1.5 years. The fundamentals of the combat system did not change in that time. That is not to say there weren't tweaks to various mechanics, buffing of bosses, and new events; but skill trees, gear upgrade system, etc, did not fundamentally change in that time. Don't exaggerate.

I see your other posts complaining about how much the endless grind sucks balls so you want to see change, but then here you are defending against change. I suggest picking a side and sticking to it.

Change is not intrinsically good nor bad. These social media scraps being released are purely to generate buzz. The wise would wait for actual solid info (ie. in the form of a TS release or official announcement) rather than participating in hyperbolic extrapolation of a few badly worded sentences.

Lol. Do you intentionally misunderstand me or what?
    Bs.
I'm not against a change, I'm against a revamp every 1.5/2 years or so as if this is an Alpha/Beta game.

The game has enough features/content as is.
But they are far from being balanced.

For example, Tiered items ain't really an issue if u improve Crafting system.

Instead, they scrap all that and bring something almost same with a different name.

I mean.. if they are merging/mixing Augment and Glyph.. it's fine.
Say, Augment craft increase 5 levels at once and Glyph thing stays the same, except the costs per upgrade.. (or glyph per melt be increased)

Still meh when you think about Max Wisdom Level being 200 and now upgrading goes toward that path too though.

So they will keep increasing the max limits as soon as certain amount of ppl reaches those..

Instead of a better, solid system, they go with the lazy approach and make Power-creep worse and worse.

I.e Soon enough Jewels/Runes wont be enough either..

We kind of stopped caring. We'll either be satisfied with the changes or quit altogether after the update. That's why we're pushing you out of their way, to see what they're capable of, hoping that for once will it be good.

Whatever the changes are, I hope it will be a complete revamp for your own good guys.

The game's become unbearable. Imo among the most awful things have been (in no particular order)
    1. work bench gamble, 2. only one meta build rendering almost all other eq items virtually useless, 3. pay heavily or grind forever, 4. repetitiveness of gameplay and content, 5. inventory filling up too quickly despite being fully unlocked, 6. class imbalance, 7. too much power creep, 8. pvp mess, 9. lack of quality of life features, 10. still no substantial update to guilds.

I wish they fixed all that somehow in the new CE lol

With CE still in development, conjecture and speculation will still be possible anyway ... many things can still change until the release. However, what is clear ... if the game includes elements of a craft, it should always somehow follow where the player just ended up. It is perhaps natural to tie the thread in order to continue building and improving. If they destroy everything and make the players start again from scratch, then it is their complete failure. In that case, it is nothing more than exchanging an old coat for a new one in the hope that they will attract new players without interest in the existing ones.

That's exactly what it feels like they seem to be doing. (If that sentence makes sense)
And is what I'm trying to say: Waste of time. It won't work as long as it's grindy af.

Yes they need to change so many things to balance the game/make it somewhat fun again but not like this..

All the current mechanics can be turned into something decent, if they can pull that off.. but it doesn't feel like they are capable of such thing nor they wanna bother with it.

So Trial & error it is! As it always was (I think)
At worst another "expansion" (revamp-ish trial & error mess) within 2 years right?!

What is really messed up is that they have now "advertised" removal of Tiers with no replacement (cause "Tiers" is already a secondary "Level" on top of the items level. There is no information on an actual replacement. This leaves everything at T0, aka Normal.

We already have the level part they are talking about. When I reached level cap 3 years ago, there was no Painful+ in Old world. You fought the bosses and the mobs on normal at the map level. You could then go back and fight the Bosses 5 levels higher which you had to be 7-9 levels higher to survive.
In normal, you face a level 25 mob, you get a level 25 item drop.
In normal, you face a level 50 mob, you get a level 50 item drop.
In normal, you face a level 55 mob, you get a level 55 item drop.

There has never been a "Normal" level in Parallel Worlds. It has always, as far as I know, started at Painful (T1).

So does that mean that my Level 60 T9 Bear weapon at 1300 damage gets stripped down to a Level 60 'Normal' weapon at only 500 damage???? Do they mean that I"m going to loose 60% of my damage, my health, my armor, my resistance, my crit hit rate, my crit damage??? All while they make all the mobs and bosses even stronger???:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

If we loose 60% of our strength and the bosses stay the same or get stronger, DSO is going to lose 60% of their players come Nov 25th.

DEVs NEED to give us better and ACCURATE information about this NOW so that we can prepare.

    It felt like..
Difficulties higher than Normal/Painful will have Level 60+ mobs (or whatever the new max lvl) and goes higher and higher with each difficulty.

If this is the case.. it's not really very different than what we already have but upgrading will be possible via Glyphs without the need of Augment craft (or both will be possible)

But it's all our own interprets..

"New unlock, new level up mechanics & skill combinations" they say..
    &
"Buffing skills with class specific abilities"

Do these mean they are changing Wisdom talents too?!

Dunno how many times they must change how Skills and their upgrades work..

It has never been normal difficulty ... at first there were only 2 modes - Normal and Difficult. It was changed later on ... and made normal, excruciating and painful. There were no tiers and no matter the difficulty the items were all at T0.
That means the players are getting screwed up again ... they took player's money so they can later take Royal Blues, runes, items and all kind of investments ... because they simply can and they don't care about them they only care about money. It is OK if money is someone's priority in a company ... but even if it is a business there are rules one can never break. These people are all into cheating and lying ... they learnt a lot from one big "honorable" gentleman who once said: "I was the CIA Director, we lied, we cheated we stole. We had entire training courses".

Ask the CM why were they saying they were collecting feedback from the forums when in fact they were not doing it for years ;) ever since the current CM took the job. He only started like collecting feedback again just recently :)

I'm all for a revamp because I think there are so many things that are just obsolete, frustrating or outright boring.
The tier system started with 3 difficulties and degenerated into 5 different copypaste difficulties of powercreep from inf1 to inf7.l
Roughly 70% of the parallel sets are sadly useless (even more for other classes), any other sets become unusable once you hit lv55 (sets from Balor, Destructor, Medusa).
There is no need for a tank and no option clever tactical gameplay (buffing/healing comrades).

And the power creep is real. All you have to do for it is grind the same maps all day and you don't even notice how you get stronger because it's too slow.

I'm hoping they revamp things to a better and more fun gameplay and allow multiple sets that don't all focus on dealing damage. I'd like a more colourful variety of gameplay instead of everyone just playing the same old set with 90k dmg.

True, if they revamp every 1.5 yrs and nothing changes for the better they should leave it be and let the players adjust to the slightly sh.tty boring grind game.

    That's totally my attitude.

i agree wholeheartedly. (wrote my post before reading further)

Well.. Ruby spam in all items here we come..

Jewels and Runes having their own item doesn't sound bad thou.
Not that we needed a new item to grind for..

"Glyphs of power will be needed for Crafting and no longer be used for Leveling up Equipment Items
The selective grind of multiple crafting resources is history and convenient equipment farming while progressing through content and collecting valuable loot (is) the future"

Lol that's interesting. (Apparently my guess about glyphs leveling items was wrong)
So no longer farming Cores or what?!

i quess they add new value(cores/glyph/name as u want) to kill resources in ur pocket.
there are ppl with tons of glyph/cores/gold so they do everythink they can to destroy so much what they can.

Play a static game that doesn't change? No. But what they are doing is more then just changes to the game. They are making an entirely different game. I am not looking forward to start all over and be a newbie. We will see November if it is still worth playing.

GOP are in your currency bag. what makes you think that they will now just be like gold or ander. That you will spend glyphs, or gold, or ander to craft. Or any combination of the three.

Why is it the worst possible thing to be implemented? Players will just spend cash for gems and runes. Then after Bigpoint makes money they will change it. Just like they did with the old Sapphires.

Stripped down to a lvl 60 weapon? Doubt it, will more likely a lvl 55 weapon. If your lucky the glyphs will be compensated.

And before normal and painful maps there was two lvls... It was nomral and PW you choose the one or the other at the enterance of each map.

Turns out Glyphs will be used when exchanging the Enhancements of 2 items. (About 100k glyph cost atm)
Idk if there will be other uses of 'em though.
