    Hello,

The last time I played the game, it was normal to mine herbs, etc. Now you need a multitool.

What is it and where can I find / buy it, please?

    Thank you

Shop (hotkey: T) for 500 anders apiece. I'd suggest not buying it and just farming if possible. Monsters can drop those herbs, rocks, etc.

Yes, but only at Painful and higher difficulty levels. And not all ingredients drop. For example, as far as I can tell, you can only farm Anacampseros (the primary ingredient for HP recovery potions) by harvesting them with a multitool. BP wants us to pay to stay alive :):(

OK. And can multitool only be bought? Can it be obtained in another way?

It can only be bought for andermant as far as I know.

You can craft various plants and other raw ingredients along with crafting vessels to create consumable items; healing and resource recovery potions; defensive and offensive buffs of varying degrees and durations in the form of elixirs, tonics and physics.

    IF you have the recipes.

As a new player, you don't have any recipes and can't (at the moment) get them as the devs (possibly by mistake) removed them for purchase at the various crafting master NPCs found in various urban maps.

I'm hoping the DSO devs will correct this oversight in a future (better be soon!) release.

    On the other hand:
    1. Gathering the raw materials has become expensive (500 andermant is way too much to charge for a single-user multitool by a factor of 100; you can buy the crafting vessels from the crafting masters, but they cost ridiculous amounts of gold, and become more expensive as your toon increases in experience levels)
    2. Mobs do drop some of the ingredients when you're playing at Painful or higher difficulties (and as a new player, you're probably not strong enough to confidently tackle even Painful right now), but not the most important ingredients necessary to create the healing/resource restoration potions … so, even if BP gives you the (lowest, Common quality) crafting recipes, you won't be able to create potions without spending thousands of andermant on the multitools
    3. At least some of the buffs were nerfed in release 245, to the point that their benefits are trivial
I do not recommend that you buy any multitools, ignore consumable crafting for now. If you incidentally farm some plants once you start playing higher difficulty modes, you won't even notice: Your toon will auto-pick them up and place them in a special bag within your backpack, ready for you to deal with later if BP gives new players the recipes.
