With today's announcement, idk if this thread will still exist in the future. But anyways, I spent weeks collecting footage and finally published about Lingering Memories portals. I included all the sets @ lvl 140 for a SW and the necessary calculations to find the base values for all other classes (thanks @gbit).

It could be useful for every player that hasn't a total game knowledge, don't you agree?

Would be nice to know the % rate for portals.
Done 100's of runs looking for portal and only got it twice :(

The speech is much more complex and pertains to the intrinsic mechanics of the game as such.

The Lingering uniques are perhaps the best available nowadays, I use them all except the crystal because I prefer the Adornment of the Vanquisher, but the "expense" in terms of time and perseverance to obtain them is quite beyond reasonable. Also because, in addition to the bad "random" frequency of the portals, you must also take in count the randomness of the drop of the uniques, of which I have suffered the enormous variability.

To answer your question with what is my personal experience, it happened to find the portal even in two consecutive runs, sometimes after a few runs, other times the opposite after dozens of unsuccessful attempts. Yes, it could happen to find the portal only after about 50 runs.

This is a task for the strongest toons who manage to full run the map in half a minute. Personally, when there were 20-25 consecutive merciless runs with no result, I began to enter in bloodshed mode: in this way I was able to find the portal while minimizing the expense of inf frags.

If it can be an encouragement to you, never give up because bad luck reigns but miracles can always happen :)

Feel free to leave a dislike on the video if you don't like it. Problem solved.

It's really up to luck. I jokingly said it's 1% in the video, but I have gone many days without seeing one, then suddenly get 3 in a row before. I'd suggest using that Sildsteinn portal to repeatedly search one spot if you're searching on a difficulty lower than Bloodshed.

Unfounded accusations of plagiarism is nothing but trolling. Content creators are allowed to create and share videos on the same topic (including the Lingering Memories maps), and that is not plagiarism.

For portal to appear, are there any conditions? Like only in group, solo not possible. I did solo merciless runs for 2 days, around 400+ enries, entry from top full map run, bottom ful map run, and mostly Sildsteinn in-out. Not single portal, only chests and swirls.

I was solo-mode at least half of times I have been into Lingering map. Several days it was really stressy to find, other days seemed to be way easier.

At first I too blamed being alone, when I couldn't find it, then later I accumulated so many runs to understand that there is no clear causal link between the group consistency and the chance to get it.

The feeling is always that there is a sort of "luck-cap", a bit like when you drop the same unique 3 days in a row, then you don't see it anymore, even if you do hundreds of attempt. This is really disorienting but certainly wanted and, whatever the way they implemented it, it is sadly among the things that works best of the whole game.

The only suggestion I can give you is to never do hundreds runs without stopping and without ever changing your goal: sometimes it seems that the game is just taking delight to slow you down. So when you feel rotten luck is haunting you, try to alternate 4-5 runs in Brigavik with any other activity, from rune farm to some tp or key boss kills... no idea if it really works or not, but good luck.

Going to have to agree with Javah here that it's random. I actually recorded most of my footage for that video solo, but I've gotten many runs of the portal maps in a group too.

Funny that you mention that. It's actually what I feel too, so I try to avoid spamming the same map too frequently. I doubt there's any way to prove this, short of being able to look into the coding behind the game, but BP is never gonna let us do that soooo... :D

How about posting those pictures of equipment to this thread??? That way we can _really_ look at them.

Thank you both for encuragement, it worked. In duo group full map run got my first portal, cleared large map with 4 gold chests and some smaller ones, and got drop as usual, with 0 legs or uniques. I'll do it again not more then once a week. Farming gems and runes on other maps will be my goal.

Sure. I don't have the conversions of the unique wisdom lines to the actual values for what they give since that was an overlay I did in my video editing software.

It takes a special kind of slimeball to make the appearences of the entrances rare and the make the uniques dropped there even rarer.

I realise this is out of context, but many players on Tegan are concerned that a ranger (Runewolf) we have all known for years has completely *shut-down* on everyone in Tegan, even hisd closest friends that he grouped with ALL the time.
    Seems so out of character.

I got the set in three days after about 300 rounds in bloodshed looking for the portals and playing alone.
I found 12 portals, 4 with no single drop unique, 8 with sometimes 3 or 4 unique.
The premium helped me to enter and exit Brigavik by looking for the portals in the first two positions at the entrance.
Ttrying other difficulties to get nothing after days and days, I deduced that the percentage of portals and unique is higher in bloodshed.

So far I dropped weapon, boots, ring and torso.

I craft impact/critical hit on weapon and armor on torso (both aren't the best choice, but now it's ok like this) and my question is: is it right to craft attack speed on ring (due to unique +% spell) and impact/critical hit on boots?

    Thank you :*

IDK for ring, but on atk speed you are probably better off with mortis ring, which has unique base value (probably the highest base value outside of weapons)

For boots, critical hit is pointless, they have no crit value in base. I recommend crit for adornment (unique +% enchantment) and for the new Kaylin Lefrye cloak (is that the right name) which has additional crit in unique value. Third item depends on your build.

Boots only give extra crit through wisdom tree, it's a permanent bonus not effected by any stones or enchantments. Best to put movement speed there (rhodolites, movement speed enchantments), or dmg if you don't need to move fast.
