Could you be a bit more specific about that treathening?

I completely agree that there should be respect for other players and people in general (developer, forum admin...) and offence should not be tolerated, but writing what some of us consider "not correct" into the game, such as strange behaviour of skills, random drops of items (sometimes lot of gems, sometimes never) or ring that "accidentally" are not dropping anymore and think that those are not many coincidences, well I don't think this should be a reason to ban players.
Most of us are playing this game from several years, many of us put real money in this game because think that developers are not working for free... so the idea is simple: "if I give you good money, why you give me bad thing?"... should we be banned for that?

More than anything else it is the out of place class of the game, maybe the developers have another game and confuse things or rather in one there is no Dk and in the other they play an old release of the lv 50.

I think you shouldn't worry too much about who writes negative opinions about the game, it 's important that you write your positive ones, so the new players who read the forum can evaluate and know both ;)

the firery flower jewel seems interesting, it could favor a competitive fire build :)

Intuition would lead to think that the curvature of space time doesn't exist or that special and general relativity and that quantum mechanics are false.
Intuition is not a good tool to discern reality as it would lead to some big mistakes for our modern times.
Evidence and models are instead good tools.

Yes, it's just a coincidence that the ring drop, that used to very frequent prior to r248, suddenly was reduced to 0 just at the right moment when unique crafting was introduced.
If it was really a random bug, they would have fixed right away in the first hotfix, they wouldn't have forced us to wait a month to get that fix( assuming it is even coming).
Instead they fixed and unfixed a bug( apparently they have all the time to listen for some whiners, but not enough to fix the ring drop) for the dwarf class and then managed to find time to break destructor( just at the same time people were farming him for his items, how convenient).
This is the evidence and it only leads to one conclusion.
And it isn't the first time they behaved like this either.
So i and others aren't going to give them the benefit of the doubt.
You're not going to get an echo chamber here, here you're going to get scrutinized and criticized when the game deserves it and praised when the game deserves it.

I have praised features of the game that were introduced and i considered positive additions.
I'm not fanatically anti BP,nobody is, it's that for years BP hasn't done a single positive thing.
    That's a fact.

You tell me why i should praise a system of random loot like that, where to get a single item i have to spend thousands of infernal fragments to get a fair of overpowered boots because the map that drops them very rarely appears, while with this same system a noname newbie can enter the map for the first time and get the boots at the first drop.
At least make them craftable, it would be a bandaid( because the real solution would be to drastically increase the appearence probability and rate of the lingering memories and increase the drop rate of the uniques), but at least it would give certainity.
But instead the developers are actively trying to slow players down( as if improving the gem system wasn't slow enough for free2play players, but in this case it is fine, it's actually what motivates many free2play players).
Opinions don't matter, the facts matter.

yes, indeed, the jewel is very nice and makes fire builds for mages much more competitive, what's going to be the drop rate of the jewel from the chests?
If the drop rate is very low, then why even bother? In practice you'll never going to get it.

the theory of relativity is due to an intuition of Einstain, at the time there were no mathematical tools with which to express it ;)

I don't think the bug of the rings is intentional, but it's all caused by the system adopted to simulate randomness, and the bug of the shoulder of the balor set that returns the torso in the craft is an example.

there are no facts, only interpretations ;)

I've always criticized randomness in this game ...

Nice buff, but what i dont like in it is 3 classes has reduce resistance. Mage, war ( all elementals) ,dwarf on fire and ranger nothing
bcs deal physical dmg .But how will be changed it on game we see later . (Still i think they should back on ea old reduce resistance if they wanna play with resistances).

Also another thing to consider is that the chest only appears when going through full map, so 1 round will be much slower than just porting to boss. The drop chances need to reflect this.

And that one specific jewel is just one of many that can drop. Who knows what the relative drop chance of the different types will be? Obviously the most useful ones are going to be most rare...

Since we're on the topic of the PW chest, it can drop more than just the Jewel. I don't have an infinite amount of time to spend farming, but on my last live stream, I received a "Crafting Chest" (Yes, the same one you can get from the repeatable crafting quests), and someone else in my party reported getting a Teleport Cage. I think it'll be interesting to see what else the PW chest can offer.

I think both of you are wrong about the bug. Of course it's not coincidental, nor is it fully intentional. They clearly tampered with the ring drop, they probably only wanted to lower it, that's very like things they've done in the past. In the same time, there's no reason to halt the drop completly for one update, just to reintroduce it at a sensible value in the next update. They surely wanted to lower the drop... nulled it accidentally (we all know they aren't the most skilled devs in the world)... and got so negative a feedback that they're probably bringing a reasonable drop rate.

No, it has to be said finally: When it takes hundreds of runs of the same thing to get one item that is not even OP, the economy is broken and the drop rates can't be called "good". The fact that such a situation is "good" by this game's standards says a lot about its state.

    coincidences? intentional? mistake?
only they know the truth and for me it is irrelevant because I am able to adapt to what the game offers without being overwhelmed by any frustration ;)

No, the theory of relativity was built up using mathematics and experimental evidence, not because of intuition and so is for every theory in science.

And there were mathematical tools to express it, non euclidian geometries existed alread.

Yes, it's just at the convenient time for them, totally just a coincidence.
I would believe that it is a coincidence if this was the first time it happened, but it actually happened multiple times in the past.

This is according to post modernism, which is nonsense and should be put in the dustbin of history.

And have you condemned the devs for that?
Ok, the problem is the malicious intent on their part to slow down the players to force them into paying.
And of course there was going to be a catch.

Oh and i don't expect the ring drop rate to return to what it was in the past, assuming they'll even do that.

the problem with the brigavik items is that the doors appear rarely, they should appear frequently on bloodshed and merciless( like 1 every 2 runs).
And of course at this point why even have infernal fragments?
It's all nonsense introduced on purpose to slow down players.

And of course the manifactured consent about this is stopping newbies from being carried.
And we all know how good they are at balancing the drop chances against the time and the difficulty of farming.
There's going to be a catch about this, as always.
I'm waiting to see what's going to be the catch.

If you scroll through my posts, you see I have long been very critical about the slowness, scarcity and lack of foresight of the innovations that producer and devs introduced in the game, but much less criticism about the pitfalls and gimmicks they use to slow down players, often making people believe that they are bugs or malfunctions: putting myself in devs/producer's shoes, I don't feel like condemning them for such behavior.

This is not a modern MMORPG with open-world environment, in which you can fully virtualize the gaming experience, creating immersive missions and tasks, and having in your fantasy the only limit to development. This at opposite is a small 2Gb-game on disk, with tiny maps that players run in half a minute (reason why devs have to indecently overcrowd them with bunches of mobs) and whose only possibility of duration is to make things repeat over and over, make useless the fatuous progress made by the players up to that point, slowing them down in any way possible.

The structural limits are such that introducing more or less voluntary bottlenecks has to be consider part of the game itself... as long as it lasts.

Trust me. Code for drop rates and code for crafting on the workbench are not related in the least bit.

No. I'm not explaining how bugs work. I'm explaining that it is NOT a "bug" (which would be accidental). I'm saying that it was done INTENTIONALLY.

And for your ridiculous false opinion, I don't do "conspiracy theories". I deal in facts and knowledge. You and Emily don't know about programming. It's what I do. There are some hard facts (rules of nature) that exist in all types of programming. And my "proficiency" does give me an inside understanding which you do not have.

Hmm... stupid example??? So your telling me that you are not smart enough to understand a common people's situational possibility. Means what you write is the true crap.

I trust you because you are an expert, but I had the doubt that the code that generates the random had some relationship with both codes and could create a conflict in some way:)

Fact is a fact. Nothing more, nothing less. Interpretation on the other hand is what was called earlier an opinion about the fact.

Do you think a fact has only it absolute valour?
    No
    like a number
it can be negative and positive
    so
every fact has a castle of words ( positive or negative) that human people build around it ;)

    Well, facts are:

-Drop rates of rings from mobs in R248 were changed to zero.
-R248 introduced item crafting which requires these rings.
-(most certainly) Code for ring drop rate is independent, or at the very least, the numerical value representing drop chance is a distinct line of code that doesn't affect anything else.

Now, there are two interpretations as to WHY this happened:

    A) If it was un-intentional, as the charitable interpretation is saying, then it means a programmer messed up their work. If that's true, won't BP fix it, given a lot of people complain about it and it directly affects the very theme of R248 - crafting? We were given 2 hotfixes since the release, none which fixed the drop rate. That means, even if it was a mistake initially, they INTENTIONALLY leave the bug in place until the next release.

This includes the possibility that they were trying to only "lower" the drop rate - the fact is still that they decided to do nothing after they learned of their mistake

    B) It was intentional outright.

As you see, no matter the interpretation, the fact is BP has intentionally limited player ability to craft items.
