This game has no skills like that. It must have been a cat who entered your pc and created a bunch of harmful foldurs. No PC can stand that.

To protect yourself against such situations in the future, you must huff cats before they can do any damage to your PC, that is, huff kittens. Look that last phrase up, it can do wonders.

 

Well I have no pets, and I maintain my own pc and I can show you the cooler that was on the i7 4790
either way the system was 5 years old
I also suspect it might have been in the way older ddr3 ram handled the game ( it was 12 gb crucial xmp 1600) as my amd ryzen 5 3500 is ice cold with 16gb ddr4 3200

Greetings from a veteran, though not as veteran as some. I played the game for a number of years, and posted a little on the forum and wrote the Fate of Dracania story hiding somewhere in the General Forum after the forum restructure...not that I expect anyone would remember me. I had a different profile picture back then, too.

I came into DSO just after the level cap was raised to 45, I think, and lasted until the months before Dark Legacy came out. I just kinda let myself fade out. I still peek in there from time to time to see what's new and mess around a little bit, but there isn't a whole heck of a lot worth doing anymore for a casual player such as myself. (Tried my hand at the Desert of Essences event...it is a very large shadow of what it used to be. Also tried my hand at the new maze maps...what is THAT noise.)

Back in the day, I enjoyed reading conversations on the forum from the DSO gurus, picking up tips and tricks for my Ranger or other characters if or when I got around to trying them out, and generally keeping up with the game. I remember Baragain being the mathemetician, and I tried in vain to follow the math he wrote out to try to understand how to build my character better. I am not good with these base values and modifiers and whatever else. I tried my hand at his crafting 2.0 guide, and that was a little easier for me to digest than the math for character builds, and I FINALLY got to use that knowledge not too long ago when I sat down and rebuilt my character under the new Dark Legacy system. I had thought about getting back into the game at that point and had invested some time in some quests and even sat through some grinding, to find pieces with gold lines to cross-enchant, and it was enjoyable even if for a short time.

If you read this, Baragain, thank you for all your knowledge. It was a fun ride. Sorry to hear this became an addiction, but I'm glad you have been able to get things under control and work toward healing your home.

dr,you are one of many many other players who left dissapointed about whats going in on in this game now,im old player,i know many of my friends,quit playing,and all because after EDIT,ruined the game,this is the reality,now event as a old player,if you wanna come back in the game,is soo hard to keep up at what this guy destroy,well done EDIT

I absolutely remember the Fate of Dracania. Glad to run into you during my brief boomerang visit to the forums.

Things have been so much better over the last couple years without the time suck of a grind game in my life.

I still like popping in every year or so to say hello and I always enjoy seeing messages like this from the people that I've had an impact on. See you around... until next time.

I went and found the Fate of Dracania thread, in case anyone wants a dose of nostalgia.

 

Since February 2020 I only collect dailies and playing around 1-2 hours weekly. Sometimes it is 1-2 hours playing time in 2 weeks XD
But the most important thing is ... because of the "new thrilling ChineseSang" I quit smoking XD
This February is the fourth anniversary since I haven't had a puff
