    What's wrong with it? Looks like an extra line of Crit in Unique Values, and there is probably no one who wouldn't like more crit :)

    They removed the unique Wisdom talent bonus on crit to put a simple +% crit on this item.

    And here we go again. And just how are you suppose to craft enchantments and add gems to these new items. You split your stats in half.

    No matter what players do, how much they play, how much money they spend. BP comes along and destroys every thing they they worked for. SMH

    Well they drove hundreds from the game when they destroyed Drakensang to create Dark Legacy. Wonder how many will leave now.

    Let's suppose that we have 10 imperial 2 onyx (1980 crit), so 19800 crit value, and a base Stat of 2000 crit; we reach the critical value of 21800 for the item.
    The ~24% unique bonus on crit will give 5450 crit, while with the Wisdom talent bonus we had more than 13k crit... So, if they don' balance this stat in some way, we'll have a considerable nerf on the item.

    Oh yes it is nerf no two ways about it. I use the arrows with this I lose in the neighborhood of 500 dmg. And that is just the arrows. Players that have gone in and out of Brigavik a thousand times to get this gear will have to start all over.

    Only took this new leader and team C less then a month to destroy everything players have been working at for a year.

    Wonder how many players we will lose this time. Like losing hundreds after the CE wasn't enough.

    @4NormaL Game developers should not waste any time. Close the game and save us. Even if Bigpoint doesn't close the game, I will free myself because I can't stand for such nonsense anymore.. We are not the ones playing games, they are playing games with us..

    I could not agree with you more. This new team leader and his team C is as bad as team A or worse. You would think Daniel and his team first decision would be to fix all the bug (emotes still broke by the way). To add to the game things players have been screaming about for years like a special essence bag.

    But no out of all the things broke in this game their first decision is to nerf everyone who spent hundreds of hours running in and out of Brigavik to get this set. All their time, money, resources over the last year just wasted.

    Game developers should not waste any time. Close the game and save us. Even if Bigpoint doesn't close the game, I will free myself because I can't stand for such nonsense anymore.. We are not the ones playing games, they are playing games with us..

    Well now that I have had more time to look at this. I neglected to figure my Absolute & Relative modifiers into it. I will lose 1,200 base dmg not 500. That is equivalent to three imperial rubies. This is just so wrong on so many levels. I just use the arrows but players that have spent hundreds of hours running in and out of Brigavik and use mult pieces of this gear are getting nerfed beyond belief.

    The new team has only implemented one revision on the test server and it will do as much dmg as the CE. How bad will their future revisions be! This new team C and their leader are are a hundred times worse then the old team. They need to go NOW before they run off what little players are left after the CE.

    At this point it is much easier to just make a DSO2, same maps and quests, with a bit of improved graphics and animation, and start from zero there, than trying to fix this one. Just leave this one to die in peace.

    I see the release date for r253 is official. Every player who spent the last year running in and out of Brigavik . All their time, money, resources, effort was wasted. An entire year just wasted.

    Took this new team C and their leader only one revision and we all just got (insert your own word here)!

    This alteration of the unique ones is not final, so it's too early to panic.
    Equipment:
    Unique Lingering Memory items have been reworked due to a talent code issue
    (this change may be reversed over time based on feedback)

    One of my secondary toons has 3 LM items:

    Belt (Inquiring Mind) went from 16 points in Elemental Protection = 8,720 units of elemental resistance to 5% er value = 1,378 units of elemental resistance. I assume that's dependent on my class and my base gear er values, so I can increase the 5% output by replacing gear; but on the face of it, that's ~(84)% reduction in effective value.

    2-handed weapon (Forgotten Knowledge) went from 12 units of Ambidextrous Smiting = 2,400 damage to 8% overall damage = ~7,200 damage ... again, based on my rubies and base damage and base gear damage across my combined gear, but this one appears to be a 27% increase in effectiveness (this is rather crude, as the next item also impacts my overall damage, and I haven't thought through the cross-impact if any).

    Ring (Signet of Memory) went from 12 units of Dextrous Smiting = potentially 1,200 damage (but no value to me as I am using a 2-handed weapon) to 3% overall damage boost = ~865 damage ... so overall effectiveness increase of ~3% for my toon, but in a toon using a 1-handed weapon, that's a decrease of ~(28)%.

    I don't have adornment, boots, etc. on this toon.

    Main toon (level 100):

    Armor (Chief Mechanicus' Chestplate), went from 16 points of Rising Vigor = 52,000 HP to 5% HP = ~57,700 ... an increase of 5,700 HP or ~11%.

    Adornment (Ancient Battle Adornment), went from 16 points of Rising Power = 1,200 damage to +5% total base damage = ~5,000 damage increase ... 4x better than the Wisdom boost.

    Bottom line: My admittedly very crude calculations suggest that with the changes to the Lingering Memory items (at least the gear that I have on my toons), we're getting mostly gains, and somewhat significant boosts at that (again, a lot depends on your other gear / gems).

    If you've got the Boots or other items, please give us your old versus new stats to see how the other items fared with the change in r253.

    Joke aside, the outcome could have been different already before the changes, if you had used different equipment and setup. That means the loss could have been much greater than the one in your conclusion. You are observing changes in equipment only after the changes but the fact is changes can be made at the start and the loss would be huge.
    On top of it , no one is using all of the items in same time ... assumption that loss would be significant if all items are equipped at same time is erroneous . Also ... haven't they shifted away from relative(%) bonuses? :) They are now bringing them back.
    For the record ... i am not using any of the items nor i had intention to use any of them. But truth be told ... i don't even have them XD
    I rarely get the portal ... and when I get on the map i get nothing :) But I wouldn't use them even if I had them.

    Traki, we're not reading each other correctly:

    I did mention this several times ... the new relative% bonuses will have a varying impact depending on your toon's gear base values and your slotted gems.

    This means the newer players are more likely to experience a loss in value, mid-level players (that includes weaker 100 experience level toons like my main) will likely see a gain with the relative% bonus, and end-game players ... well, as you pointed out, most of you will not be using most of the LM equipment as you have dropped/crafted better items on PW Bloodshed.

    This is a compromise between the original "fix" of using %increase-on-this-item bonus and fixing the Wisdom bug itself. With the relative% bonus, BP will lose fewer mid-level players, but make it harder for new players to grow. I don't know who brings in the most money, newbies, mid-level or end-game, but I suspect BP is shooting themselves in the foot by not making the effort to retain the original versions of the LM items and fixing the Wisdom bug.
