It is easy enough for people with more time than money. I played a year without investing a cent, and made level 45 in the process.
It can sharpen your game faster, in that mistakes cost you time against your progress. "Smarten up or die" is a harsh teacher; lol.
A good guild is great for showing you the ropes.

Just saying F2P is not easy, if u r a student, take a part time job, get some $ worth of months/years of farming.

You have missed the whole point.
A lot of players are lawyers, judges, doctors, professors .... in one word every day common people. But they have opted not to pay because it kills the fun of the game.
Of course money spenders have one and only fun ... that is money spending.

I'm totally F2P, playing since the beginning of the open beta of the game. SW, marshall and with pretty good stats. F2P is totally doable and it is fun too. I'm a medical doctor (for the ones advising on getting a real job) and I think if you pay once - you're not a F2P.

Just play for the fun and it will be fun. Play only for the wins and you'll lose.

P.S. the guy with 33rd lvl SW with 2.2 speed and 6-700 base damage - he is totally a P2P player :D I tell you that for sure :D I'm 45th lvl and he beats me on most of the stats :D

MMOs is are all abouts the grindings. Don't be stuck up about paying anything towards the game.

You don't have to go nuts and spend hundreds or thousands a month. You just have to build a better grinder or as I say in my head Build A Better Butter Burner. Don't spend money to buy consumables. Spend it on things that will stay with you through out the game. You inventory space to craft so...

It will be rough as things are made harder because the people who are droping huge bank are waltzing through the game. So don't go having any game time off. Or you'll be stuck fighting high level PvE during events and PW quests.

as i see you need to increase resistaces so you have to wear unique items cause they have 4 slots and add the 5th and invest in diamonds to get resistances 1500 points until you get to 45 exp level.for good damage you have to farm for new moon 's event to gain the unigue items and weapons and a good scroll/book as from the full moon event make the critical damage chance 50/50

I am a F2P and if I'm honest I don't really notice the difference at the moment, But, when I get to lvl 45 I think there'll be a significant difference if you haven't played for a long time... (due to items)

I've only had premium when I created my account which was a HUGE help. And I am quite afraid (LOL) of getting lvl 45 because I like to PvP and PvE but my gear is just not up to scratch.

1500 points resistance is 50%digrease in mosters attacks 45level,as mage he doesnt have to use the slots for kianites only for diamonds gems.

Its not the point how much it reduces elemental dmg, the point is that as f2p he can have that much resistance only if he plays 2 years(or more) lol. I'm playing for nearly 10 months and as a f2p i have only 600 res, and believe me i do farm.., a lot. So dont tell him that, bcs that's impossible goal to achive, that easily...

If it is for monsters only I don't see why would someone need such resistance when most of the monsters have physical attack.
I am playing 2 years and currently have 1240 resistance but 3200 armor as well. And of course I am f2p ranger.

I'm at about 1000 resist after 2 years of farming and playing... 1500 is unlikely for anyone short of someone who plays this game nonstop, Especially if you are farming and spending ander for other gems too.

a ranger needs more increasing armor than a mage or dwarf cause it can tank(not as a worrior)but the mages and dwarf need resistances to block not physical attacks.iwrote the 1500 points resistance if the character is 45 level exp cause it blocks the 50% of a attack(poison, fire, thunder, ice)if the character in this level will chose to use orbit instead book/scroll then the best choise is a good extraordinary or legendary orbit or the orbit that you can bought with 9600 adermants in discount days from the npc in aderkant upgaded to 45-47 (close to 700000 hieroglyfics of power in 47 level)

Still 10k andermant.., yeez, we are talking about f2p's here, better to speend that on gems or inventori slots. Opening a few Eo orb untill you get 2 stats for block rate and 1 for block amount is a way to go.
Edit: Baragain, i was faster. :p

Again, you are talking like a P2P player on a F2P topic. Most people aren't going to be buying a merchant unique when the ander could be better spent on gems.

500 Resist is a reasonable amount a F2P character just starting out should aim for. From there, they can see what they need for their character.

EDIT: Zodkin, I'm just wordier and I proofread my response.:p

I don't think that any f2p would buy any unique from merchants. F2P invest andermants in something that lasts throughout the game ... until the end of times. I would rather buy gems with those andermants.
Anyway this screen is from my newest SW, 3-4 weeks old. I don't play him too much ... just 1-2 hours per day, and if there is some event I am only doing daily quests. However when i play I play alone only, no groups no friends. Believe it or not I am killing Sigrismarr Frosclaw solo before he manages to release that first cold wave and ice minions.(with only blue essences ... no buffs)
So take a look at his stats ... he is so "OP" :D

There is one Merchant unique that is worth buying as a F2P 2H DK. The 2H Steam Axe is worth all the hard work and time it took to save for and it has served me well in the past 5+ months. 100% weapon damage and 300 Crit was a little hard to pass on and is significantly better than the average 2H Legendary.
