Can you show us what that weapon does to your build. You only got 1 IWD on that item so im curious what your base damage will look like

Pretty much its the same as before, but in retrospect it restores my critical hitrate, so I am back in business with 2-hand build.
Before expansion it was 6.5k dmg, 63% hit rate and 250% dmg, now its 70%, 260% and 7.2k dmg I think. Don't ask me whats best, I just click Accept before the game nebuled out, crashed, lvl 6043 come etc.

I think this weapon is 30-ish % stronger then the former 3x1x dmg that I had. It restored the hitrate and I mean big time plus the added damage.

So, let me understand. You are saying that crafting something that is better than what you have equiped is not success.

Then what is success? Do you only consider a craft successful only if the item is better than anything anyone has ever created in the game? Because that is what you are implying.

My definition of success is simple. If the item you craft becomes an equiped item because it makes you stronger, then it is a successful craft.

Now, for what I started with. I had two blue items with 1 gold line each. I had two other "decent" blue items. I had hopped to get the two gold lines, but instead I got 1 gold like from the second blue and 1 blue line from the third blue. The craft cost >10% of all my gold.

Unlike you, I cannot control the outcome of the craft and my luck has been non-existant to date. I was actually about to give up on crafting completely, but for a post by Baragain that I read that day.

Your simple definition is absolutely correct. Your exo craft is obviously better than what you had.

Considering the epic fail that is called r185 any relative improvement gained from crafting or anything else is going to be vital for a lot of players.

    Luck be withye,

Not bad, but I would complain about the base stats. I've seen T1-T3 items with better min/max damage.
True, it may improve your character, but when your "successful" craft cost gold and items for something that is worse than I get on a daily basis as a drop, I'm more than a little confused as to why you were trying to craft it to begin with. To quote myself from the first post:
I'm sorry if it is rude, but the thought that you wasted gold to make that item confuses me. If that is your definition of success, you have a very long road in front of you to build an end game character. You need to to start being a little more selective about what you craft with and what you accept. I know that R185 was exciting for some less developed toons. My RA for example is wearing a pair of green boots that I got out of a daily box because they were better than the Exo he was wearing, but I wouldn't call it a success; only a temporary bandage.

The other unique items and event items should be reworked.

Which is why I'm working on a % crit rate helmet now. Mixing that with the Bellicose set (or the Black Warlord set) would be amazing. :)

And I'd love Legendary to legendary with 100% chance (with the cores system) of passing on the stats so that you can upgrade the base values easier.... like my axe. :p Seeing as there are no PW unique axes yet, I'm not to thrilled about my current options.

    On the crafting topic:
This is an example of a "successful" craft to make an ingredient for a future item.
At LVL 60, it has over 1250 crit, 55-67 damage, and 13.74% crit damage. Not only is this blue item better than my current 4/4 legendary, it is successful because it has everything you are looking for in a future crafting ingredient.

That is my definition of success.

Hopefully we get a useable unique quiver in the future.

    Great craft.

I have seen base stat critcal gold lines over 2K at level 53 for offhands (of course, it dropped on my mech, so its a melt).

Did the dragonfire quiver get updated or is it on the old system?

I know, too bad I can't craft axe with the Q4/Q7 weapons.

Good thing that dwarfs can craft 2-hand weapons with ease, so whats new.

We cannot craft stats from axe or sword onto the mace uniques?!

  20. Mesala

    Mesala Advanced

I haven't tried it because I lack either cores or the uniques, but somehow I doubt it is possible to merge an axe with a mace (uniques) when the 2nd line on tooltip clearly says "An enchanted item of the SAME item type (e.g. helmet, axe..)..."

What did you think that the dwarfs only advantage was to not having crit items to worry about? :p

I hope I am wrong, I hope someone from the test server reads this and tries if they have a ton of materials to craft with, but I think the tank nerf (aka the most boring class now) is gonna continue on.
