Level extension to 110!!!

    This is very disappointing news. It means I will leave this game for good. I've hanging around for more than 15 years, and it's time to go anyhow. You are saying all those effort for us to collect those gears, we have to do it all over again - no thank you. And later, you will keep repeating this cycle to go to level 120, 130, etc. I am not crazy to go with you the way to make players to repeat the game just to meet a number that you change. If the dev do it, then good bye as I will join my friends who left the game long before me.

    Well its a stupid excuse to say you can't increase the difficulty unless you raise level from player :D

    Makes zero sense to me...

    A game is a software program and a program is a list of numbers. Numbers can be scaled, which we learn in elementary school. You are telling me you cannot scale a number from 110 to 100 for a mythical set and you are a programmer. I wonder, how competent you are as a programmer?

    DSO have done this before when Dark Legacy was introduced and you saw how many players left - to the point you begged them to come back, while enticing them with bonuses and most didn't. The whole Dev team was sacked. What you are saying here is, you ran out of idea and this is the best solution you come up with: to repeat the whole cycle so players have to pay for all the runs again to get lv 155 gears. It's so easy for you to do this on your end, because all you need is to change one number and in hope the money will come in again because currently most players reached their maxed already. Even if we tolerate you, it's clear that you will repeat it again for lv 120 after 3 years or so and then 130, 140, etc. None of these levels make a difference to players, because it takes a few minutes to level up. Do you have any idea how much players gone through to get the max level gears with the way you designed the game? I took many days off work just to play when the event is on and lost lots of sleep FYI; some paid thousands of dollars.

    This only work if you upgrade our current gears to level 155 for free or provide us an inexpensive way to upgrade our gears - but this will nullify you purpose of pushing it to level 110 - that's to make money. You have disappointed players many times over 15 years, is it wise to do it again - that's your call?

    Hi. In Dark Legacy i stoped playing cos most of my equipment was changed and i could do Inf1 by myself that i know it's not a lot but i enjoy it but then my chareacters were no more than a "0" So the only think that i have been doing since now is go in to DSO activate my characters and close it again... if leveing again means thta all players have lost time and money (gold, anders, whatsoever) and go to know what else more it means DSO has not learnt anything from its mistakes of the past.

    Maybe they think we are like hamsters that we like running arround the wheel...

    Honestly, it doesn't make any difference to me whether they increase the level cap to 110 or not; the important thing is that we can increase the level of the items we have for "free" (like in dso gold era with gliphs)

    What worries me is that not long ago they said they couldn't increase levels because the entire "growth and progression" system for the various bonuses and spells had to be changed.
    Now they've miraculously changed their minds and a new level cap is needed to increase the difficulty... wasn't it enough to reactivate Infernal I, II, III,... like years ago? Or a system like Ancient Descent?

    I'm even more concerned by the fact that we all know that classes are unbalanced in PvP and also in PvE (just look at the leaderboards).
    IMHO increasing the level and the difficutly will only make the classes even more unbalanced.

    Did they lie knowing they were lying? Even if this were the case, they would not admit it, who would do it on the other hand.

    They changed their minds because they are looking for a way to make it look like the game still has something to give and this is the best way to make paying players continue to do so.
    They feature new levels, but in the end, as you also pointed out, there is an imbalance in pvp in pve that is shameful.

    In my opinion, it's therefore a question of money and not of quality of play and everyone continues to see the current "quality" of the game.

    I'm no one to accuse them of lying.
    I only know that in last month's Twitch, I think, one slide said:
    Now, I see changing the formula system for just 10 levels as difficult and too laborious... if you're trying to do things right.
    The most important offensive stat is critical impact.
    To reach the 80% cap on the highest difficulty, you needed about 9k at level 45, which rose to about 27k at level 55, while maintaining the same calculation type.
    With the jump to level 100, the calculation parameters were changed, and you needed to reach 455k impact for the blood difficulty.
    It took over a year of adjustments before the game was "playable" again, but then they also changed the gems (8 new gem levels) and all rune bonuses changed from numerical values to %.
    They also added jewels, and it took a long time before they could power up again.
    Damage, if I remember correctly, also went from a maximum of 80k to the current 1M+ — a significant leap.
    As an engineer, not a gamer eng of course, I'd recommend focusing on fixing client-generated issues before venturing into new horizons.
    The engine is too old, and every new change introduces new problems and increases the load it has to support.
    Many of the current issues arose during the level 100 expansion and were never fixed.

    And I think one of the main things that overloads the engine is attack speed.
    In the past, it was difficult to exceed 2x with 2 hands, and now it's easy to get up to 5-7x, although that doesn't mean tripling the number of hits... maybe you can get 2-3 more hits per second.

    These are the observations that make you doubt their willingness to develop a quality game.
    I think that we have now reached the point where talking about quality no longer makes any sense.
