Essence Limitations

My hope is one of the Devs will see this. There has to be a way to upgrade event essence like the Snow Essence. It took nearly 3k snow essence to defeat "Big Paws" on Excruciating mode. My equipment level is all above my character level, I was using buffs from pets, physics, food dishes, etc., and it still took far longer to defeat this boss monster than it would a comprable boss using "Essence of Vigor." It makes the event nothing more than a resource drain, and not enjoyable.

 

Downside of being a newer player. Wihtout much base dmg the essence bonus just dont do much and you´ll be using tons of it compared to stronger toons. Also depends a bit what class you are.

Maybe just try join groups, cus some events are quite annoying to do solo as low lvl/dmg players

 

Thank you for your response... I was using a LVL 81 Ranger with a base damage of 90507(Using snow essence @ 100%), attack speed of 1.459 and Crit of 19556 (7.91%). My average item lvl is 84 and my bow is lvl 95. When fighting Big Paws, with only 100% essence it took quite a while to defeat it. It barely deals any damage to me, so it's really just time consuming and an essence drain...

Unfortunately, I'm a father of 3 and don't have the time to play like I used to, so solo is all I can manage. lol

Theres your issue. Get your crit higher...ALLOT higher. Doesn't matter if you need to make room by removing some dmg gems. Focus on crit and speed first
