I am one of the older players of the game, and I am honestly not happy with the current progression system. Over time, the game has lost some of its excitement and sense of adventure. I would like to share a map and story expansion idea, together with set concepts that focus on fun and mechanics rather than raw power.
It was once said that no overpowered sets would be added except Big Game Hunt, Dragan, and the Anniversary weapons. Keeping this in mind, new sets for level 100+ should not be stronger, but instead provide interesting effects and enjoyable gameplay. The goal should be variety, not power creep.
For this reason, I believe the Lor’Tac storyline deserves a continuation.
1- The Beginning of the Corruption

The story starts with a new rise of corruption across the worlds. While investigating, we travel to the Cradle of Death. There, the Ferryman tells us that Mortis has stolen the energy of the Life Sphere from the Cradle of Life and sealed it inside a Crystal Skull.
Using this power, Mortis plans to revive the Dragon and Balor with the help of Varnok the Wanderer, who escaped from the Realm of the Dead. Varnok can move through memory worlds and suddenly appears in Cardhun, destroying order and shutting down all interworld portals.
To restore control, players must stop Varnok once again and take a fragment of his energy. After giving this energy to Ammon, the ancient Materi Flower that poisons the worlds is stabilized, the portals reactivate, and the corruption fire in Cardhun fades away.
The main enemy of this part is an evolved version of Varnok, redesigned with a more spiritual form, infrared attacks, and a size similar to Terrifying Sargon.
    2- Journey to Anderworld

After saving the interworld, we travel to Tetaconetl to learn Mortis’ true intention, which is to resurrect Balor. Two Materi Masters decide to help us. One is Peter Bassington, who once tried to save Nerina and now seeks revenge on Mortis. The other is Frederic Galley, another Materi Guardian empowered by Ammon.
With the help of Jon Sunlair, a new Shadow Portal is created and we enter Anderworld. As soon as we arrive in the Cradle of Life, we are attacked by corrupted leech creatures. Together with Peter and Frederic, we fight through them and reach the Goddess of Life, Artaya, who is wounded and partially corrupted.
We then visit Sage Iztac. He explains that as long as Artaya is injured and the Life Sphere is missing, Dracania can never truly be safe.
3- Lor’Tac and the Temple Guardians

We cleanse both the Cradle of Life and the Cradle of Death, defeat their Temple Guardians, and obtain the keys to secret chambers. This leads us into Nahuatlan’s Vault, where corrupted mud creatures and Ander guardians await.
At the end of the vault, in the library, we meet Terrifying Sargon. Mortis has betrayed him just as he once betrayed Dragan. Sargon is searching for a way to destroy Mortis, and for the first time, we form an alliance with an old enemy.
Together we close the Materi rifts and defeat the bosses leaking in from the interworld. Khalys appears once more, but Sargon saves us by destroying her corrupted soul before she can kill us.
Sargon remains behind to keep the dimensional gate stable and asks us to seek help from the ancient gods Okeanos, Fjalnir, and Fyrgon.
    4- The Three Ancient Gods

First we travel to Okeanos and his Opal Temple. The waters are corrupted and the channels are broken. After cleansing the area and restoring the flow, we meet Okeanos near the lake beneath the temple. He warns us that the sea is slowly dying, but grants us his blessing and gives us the Eye of the Ocean.
Next we go to Fjalnir’s Cradle of Ice. When we arrive, the high priest is fighting Sigrismarr, now evolved and far stronger than before. After defeating him, Fjalnir descends the stairs and asks us to restore the fading spheres that are losing power at Sundown. Once the spheres are returned, Fjalnir rewards us with the Frozen Dream Heart.
The last temple belongs to Fyrgon on the Path of Fire. The Lor’Tac tribes are in rebellion and fire guardians try to destroy the temple. We restore Fyrgon’s Fire Sphere at the altar, healing the guardians. Fyrgon spreads his fury across the path, driving the corruption back, and gives us a fragment of Wrathful Fire.
Now the relics of three ancient gods are in our hands.
5- The Dimensional Gate and Betrayal

We return to Nahuatlan to seal the dimensional gate. The guardian who escorts us betrays us at the library and attacks. After defeating him, we find a message written by Mortis’ High Priest. It says that Mortis will use Nerina’s power to destroy all of Dracania and that Balor’s resurrection is near.
We lock the gate and become the new Guardian of Anderworld. Agathon appears to protect it, a large blue dragon with a model clearly different from Balor.
This gate can now teleport us to three places: the Sea of Bones, Qaizah’s Broken Tower, and the Dream Mushroom Forest. Our true mission begins here, stopping Mortis and preventing Balor’s rebirth.
6- Sea of Bones and Mortis

The enemies in the Sea of Bones are far stronger than before. Armor and resistance are heavily reduced, making survival difficult on every level. We enter through the Death Vault, defeat Mortis’ High Priest, and finally confront Mortis himself.
Mortis is stopped, but before disappearing, he reactivates the gate with the help of dark dwarves, allowing Balor’s plan to continue.
    7- Qaizah’s Broken Tower

Our journey continues in Qaizah. To repair the Materi Manipulation Staff and heal the wounded Asar, we weaken all enemies across the tower. Corrupted stones collapse and four corrupted guardians fall.
We cleanse their hearts in water and return them, restoring balance. Just when Qaizah seems safe, a new enemy appears, Ujar, the Traitor of the Ancient Temple, sent by Balor to destroy the city. After defeating him, the sandstorms finally stop and Qaizah is saved.
8- Final Battle in the Dream Mushroom Forest

The last fight takes place in the Dream Mushroom Forest. Balor has already been resurrected and traps Sargon, Iztac, his apprentice, the Ferryman, the temple guardians, Fjalnir, Fyrgon, Okeanos, and Artaya, draining their power to strengthen himself.
Balor challenges us, swearing to erase our world. We answer that he is the one who will fall.
This map has only one difficulty, Corrupted, designed as the hardest boss fight in the game. Even Big Game Hunt and Dragan sets should struggle here. Millions of damage are not enough.
To hurt Balor, players must craft a special potion called Dream Seal Elixir using Dream Mushrooms, Demon Brew, and Dragon Bones.
After Balor is defeated, the spirits of his brother Agathon and his mother Nefertari appear. Balor remembers his true self, stops the corruption flow, and burns away. His innocent form returns, free from rage.
We take his ashes to Ammon, use them to revive Nerina, and restore balance. Balor later returns in purified dragon form, apologizes, and together with Agathon imprisons Mortis forever. Nerina becomes immortal, and we are named the new Guardian of Anderworld.
9- Set Concept: Call of Corruption

The reward does not need to be overpowered. Even a single special set is enough.
The two-piece effect, Call of Corruption, activates when you kill an enemy. There is a 33 percent chance to summon glowing corruption runes around you, increasing your critical damage against nearby enemies by 20 percent for a short time. A cooldown of about 15 seconds keeps it balanced.
The visual effect should be bright, circular, and similar to the old corruption visuals, but more impressive.
Alternatively, for example on Ranger, Precision Shot could convert damage into Ander magic and partially break Ander resistance, focusing on mechanics rather than raw power.
The goal is fun, style, and gameplay variety, not creating a new meta set.
