    Exactly why they won't run Smugglers event. They're hoping people are dumb enough, which many seem to be, to buy ander for every new set they pump out.

    "Your Voice Shapes Dracania: Take Our Player Survey" I found this hilarious. Don't you?

    Many years of lies and they can't even be honest for once. They need a reality check. Better to say:

    "We don't care what you say, our great plan is new set - new soul - new set etc cycle and we want to make sure it's a fully P2W game. Enjoy our paying packages and you don't even need to play the game to get what you want"

    Regardless of the so called sacred information you are referring to from Discord, the current fact and experience players receiving is just this cycle of set-soul - in another word, don't expect anything great from it. I read Discord too and whichever angle you read it, it's the same crap. Most feedback are constant complaints.

    I wrote a while back the reason for this game to be like this - it's basically an abandon game. Dravin thinks it will shut down by the end of the year but I believe it will endure for another 10 years or so because they only need a small profit margin to survive. The CCP is using these traffics to spread their influence - that's the main goal and they don't need much to keep the game running. The Dev will only obey what the top tells them to do and 100% this game will never return back to its former glory because the owner is Youzu. We can only mourn that this decent game is placed in the wrong hand. If they release the source code, the game will thrive again.

    By the way, you need a better translator because your points are not clear in English.

    Not sure id its intentional or not but the hail starting on floor 31 of fractured planes hurts the player not just the enemy, and its incredibly powerful almost insta kills the player. If its a bug that it hurts the player, plz fix it, if its intentional it is wayyyyyy tooo strong and needs a huge nerf

    1st, this thread is made for both positive and negative feedback so everyone is entitle of free speech. So the thread welcomes complaints. Most of us came from a Democratic country and we enjoy our freedom to speak up when things are not right. In terms of the number of complaints, I am no where near you, your complaints attacks the writer whereas mine focus on the game. Also, I have been around for 16 years and I am only an Active author, whereas you rose from zero to Someday author in less than a year, mostly criticizing people's opinion. You even went as far as complaining about others, spamming it in other languages - so who complaints the most? You should judge yourself first before you judge others not to complain. Besides, I have more 'Likes' than you on record, indicating that most people appreciates my posts compare to you. I am writing it as a means to have a conversation with those who are like minded. If you cannot handle negative feedback, you don't have to read it or respond to it, no one ask you to.

    2nd, I actually don't fully understand what you write and I guess some of it by some words, so don't assume that it's good enough. If you ever wondered why most people don't respond to your writing, it is because they don't understand it, not to mention your blunt response from a translator. This is an English thread and if you don't respect the language and write clearly, then perhaps you should not write here. Unlike you, I don't use a translator to spam in another language I am not competent in because I respect their culture. Perhaps you should do the same.

    You can leave your sarcastic good day to yourself after putting someone down. I always have my good day.

    **Feedback on extreme RNG farming, drop rates and long-term player experience**

    Hello!

    I would like to share some feedback regarding rare event rewards and the way their drop chances affect the gameplay experience.
    For me, the main problem is not simply that some items are rare. Rare rewards can be exciting and can give players something meaningful to work toward.
    The problem starts when obtaining an item requires repeating exactly the same activity hundreds of times, while the player receives no measurable progress and no guarantee that all that effort will eventually be rewarded.
    Doing the same map or boss 20, 30 or perhaps even 50 times can still reasonably be called farming.
    But doing exactly the same activity 300 times is no longer really about gameplay skill or enjoyment. At that point, it becomes primarily a test of the player's patience and endurance.
    And if somebody repeats the same activity more than 1,000 times trying to obtain one specific reward, that certainly demonstrates extraordinary persistence — but I do not believe that this should be considered a desirable gameplay experience.
    I am speaking from personal experience.
    I have been trying to obtain the **Jewel of the Eternal Wrath** for approximately three years.
    During the first year, I completed more than **1,000 runs** trying to obtain it.
    During the second year, I completed more than **600 runs**.
    This year I completed around **100 additional runs**, while still using the event items that provide the opportunity to obtain the jewel.
    I still do not have it.
    I have also been trying to obtain the **Hachi Dog** for approximately three years.
    During the latest event alone, I opened at least **180 Summer Fortune Packs**, including **130 packs purchased with real money**. Again, without success.
    So my concern is not that I tried a few times and was unlucky.
    My concern is that after hundreds or even thousands of attempts, the player may still be exactly as far away from the desired reward as they were on the very first attempt.
    If every attempt always has the same fixed probability, then after 300 unsuccessful attempts, attempt number 301 may still have exactly the same chance as attempt number 1.
    In my opinion, this is the point where randomness stops creating excitement and starts damaging the gameplay experience.
    A player should feel that investing time and effort brings them closer to a goal.
    Without some form of progression or protection against extreme bad luck, the opposite can happen: the more time the player invests, the more frustrating the experience becomes.
    I therefore believe that some form of bad-luck protection would significantly improve the system.
    For example:
    * the drop chance could gradually increase after repeated failures,
    * the desired item could become guaranteed after a sufficiently high number of unsuccessful attempts,
    * or players could collect fragments, tokens or another type of currency which would eventually allow them to obtain the desired reward.
    Lucky players could still receive rare items very early.
    The difference would simply be that extremely unlucky players would no longer be able to spend hundreds or thousands of attempts making absolutely no progress.
    There is also one technical aspect that I believe is worth considering.
    If the drop system uses a predefined probability and a randomly generated value for every attempt, I would be interested in how that random value is actually generated.
    Is each result completely independent, or can character-specific or account-specific values participate in the calculation or in the random-number generator's seed?
    For example:
    * account ID,
    * character ID,
    * timestamps,
    * counters,
    * or other character-specific values.
    I am **not claiming that there is a bug**, nor am I claiming that certain accounts intentionally receive worse drop rates.
    My question is purely technical.
    If information connected to a player or character is used when generating the random result, it would be important to make sure that this cannot accidentally give some players better or worse chances over a long period of time.
    In other words, even if the game says that an item has a certain drop chance, it is also important that the system which generates the random results actually gives every player the same fair chance in practice.
    After experiencing extremely long sequences of unsuccessful attempts with more than one rare reward over several years, I believe this is a reasonable question to ask.
    Ultimately, however, my main concern is still the gameplay experience.
    Repeating exactly the same map and the same boss hundreds of times does not make an event more challenging or more interesting.
    Repeating it 300 times simply requires persistence.
    Repeating it 1,000 times requires extraordinary persistence.
    But I do not think a game should require that level of repetition just to give a player a chance of obtaining one desired item.
    Rare rewards should remain rare.
    But there should eventually be a finish line.
    I hope the development team will consider introducing some form of guaranteed progression or protection against extreme bad luck for rare event rewards.

    with regards, Timbaver

    The repetitiveness of every run hoping for that one item you need is why people play this game it's not for fun.. and if doing 1000's of runs on the same map trying to get that one item isn't what you like then you should just stop playing DSO now.. because this is how this game was built everything is 100% RNG.. or just buy it with the Credit Card.. DSO is now a Chinese GOTCHA game..

    Timbaver Junior Expert

    I understand what you mean, and I know that this is how DSO currently works. But that is exactly the point of my feedback.

    We keep throwing around numbers such as 300, 600 or 1,000 runs as if they were just statistics. But I am honestly not sure whether even the developers themselves really stop and think about what those numbers actually mean for a player.
    Doing the same event activity 300 times is already an enormous investment of time and patience.
    Doing it 1,000 times is on an entirely different level.
    That is not just “farming”. That is a huge amount of repetitive work performed by one player, on the same maps, against the same enemies, hoping for the same single reward.
    Has anyone really stopped to consider how much time, concentration and persistence 1,000 runs actually represent?
    I think that kind of dedication from a player is genuinely remarkable. And yet, after all of that, the player may still receive absolutely nothing. That is the part I find difficult to accept. And I did it, I bought the coats, I bought the good luck bags, I put in the work, completely to no avail.

    Imagine preparing a garden and carefully planting 1,000 very old seeds. You prepare the soil, plant every seed individually, cover them, water them and take care of them — while knowing that it is entirely possible that not even one of them will ever grow.

    Of course you can say: “That is just how those seeds work.” But at some point the question becomes: why would anyone continue putting so much effort into something where the effort itself does not bring them any closer to success?
    This is why I do not believe the solution should simply be “accept it or stop playing”.

    I am not asking for rare items to become common. I am not asking to remove RNG.
    I am asking whether, after an extraordinary amount of effort, there should eventually be some kind of finish line. Because 300 runs without a guaranteed reward is already difficult to justify.

    600 runs without any guarantee at all is, in my opinion, beyond what should reasonably be expected from a player in a game.

    This is why I call DSO a GOTCHA game because the players time doesn't matter to this company.. the only thing this company wants is your money and even though those Cash Shop Bags are RNG (this is where the GOTCHA aspect comes into play) the WHALES don't care and nether does the owners as long as that base money is coming in DSO will never change for the better no matter what our wishes and hopes are for DSO.. I have been here since BETA launched on MMOBOMB back in 2011 that's 15 years of watching DSO get sold 3 or 4 times and out of those selloffs this company has made DSO the worst it has ever been.. you have to understand the company that owns BIGPOINT (YouZu Games) is in China aka the CCP that alone should give you all the answers you need to understand why DSO is this way and why it will never change.. Greed and Control..
