Account based gems

I think this idea is amazing. First off, it would encourage new players to work through the game to get all these fancy shiny gems and really put their time and money into the effort. As a bonus for new players wanting to pvp, they could add in a special mount that expires after reaching a certain fame level. Like a drake or a griffon that can fly and breathe fire which would help balance out the field against the high level players that have transferred their top gems to a new character! It would really make it very exciting and more challenging to advance for both types of players.

 

Agree. This will need lvl req. of gems (as NightWalker mentioned). A max number of gems per level a character can carry.

 

Are you sure he meant max number of gems per character level? Because I think he meant max LEVEL of gems for a particular character level (as I had suggested previously, but lost in an edit).

 

I too have been thinking of something similar to this but in reverse. I hav 2 toons,lower lvl that i want to transfer to my lvl 45. and i would be willing to pay to do it. no worries of fairness or unbalance. Wich by the way I believe to be a bunch of whinning. so many people start playing and hit lvl 35-45 in 6 months and think they should have a chance against someone that has played for 2-3 years. Well tough you do not deserve to. shut up and earn it! if you are f2p you have less of a chance to beat a p2p toon. shut up and deal with it.. No thank the person for making it so you can play such a great game and move on. Life is not fair, deal with it. Dso has bent over backwards to acomadate the mass of players that believe they Deserve, but have not earned. and in doing so have Waisted time that could have been spent on raising lvl cap or so many other things....Off topic I am. feel better I do. Again why balance? why not put the restarts in a different cattagory of toons no gem caps no limites, what you have worked for payed for is yours. It's no wonder i can not get better gear any more. you people keep crying that it is not fair! I have Thousands of hours and and many hundreds of dollars in this game and I want to keep playing. but you new starts think you should have a chance to stand toe to toe with me and possible win.. Well you don't!! get over it. As sad as some of you might think this is my hobbie/enterainment, I am disabled and would like to continue playing. But not if 6month noob f2p can come in and kick my butt. Get real!

So true... We need a refresh. Many thinks can be done to balance the game. Many players will start playing again. More time for DSO.

One way transfer if you choose different class, I think that should work.
Low lv pvp should capped with the same level you are. E.g. lv 15 player can only reach lv 15 pvp. We need more pvpers in the end game and not to encourage
twinkers and nobe farmers to stay low forever.... And for those low levels nobe farmers have already "break" their ELO which they will pay dearly when entering the end game pvp xD And then you are wondering the unbalanced matches ? lol
Arena was not broken, you broke it with all the twinking possibilities (which deves alloowed to of course....) Feel free to disagree, I couldn't care a less.
