Can some expert say how many drakens and augment cores are needed to bring Dragonsilver and Darkness set to t0 - t5 (with random stats)? Currently it seems an absurd mistake, and seems that it takes 3 years of farm. But in 3 years we will be at liv 65 and inf4.

    The amount needed is madness.

The actual amount is I believe 1000 augment cores per item you want to take from tier 0 to tier V.

This is one of the reasons I think pw gear is better. It is significantly easier to just do pristine and soul core crafting.

Dear guru of the longbows) any chance you have an idea of the reasoning behind the base damage on Gwenfara shortbow?)

It is only worth it if you get an almost perfect set of base stats on your first try. Otherwise, the time and effort of augment crafting that stuff would be insane.

You aren't doing too bad. The first thing I notice is that you need HP. Gems, gear, you name it, but you are squishy.

Second, your damage is probably one of the easiest places for you to make offensive gains right now.

All in all, you need to work on crafting to really start to break into the next level of gameplay.

    1. ditch the torso ... you don't need more concentration reduction since using longbow. Sigrismarr's torso would be better for you.
    2. ditch the helm.
    3. disband the dragan set it is not good for longbow build. You can use q9 set or kranparus' amulet in combination with something else.
    4. kranparus' quiver is OK it gives you extra 35 damage ... but ... dragonslayer Quiver would be better because it will give you extra crit hit and on top of it it has higher base damage than any other quiver.
    5. I would ditch that cloak. I would go with the white new moon or Khalys' cloak.
    6. I would either use the black new moon or sigrismarr's arrows.
    7. I don't mention the Armor of Darkness and Dragonsilver because:
it needs 8K augment and 8K draken cores to get them on T5.
That is 40K draken only for augment cores ... when you add the amount of needed to buy all of them from Gnob ... and on top of that the amount of drakens needed to get decent items ... the price is equal to madness.

The reasoning behind the Gwenfara's shortbow base damage is reasonably unreasonable. :D
The question is not "do I have idea" ... but the question is ... "do the designers have idea"? and the answer is no.

since they said they will bring back Sargon ... I am waiting to see what will they do with the longbow and the quiver from the set ... since they can't make it hoaxbow in set with a quiver.

okay but i have a problem with removing Dragan set because i`m loosing about 1k DMG and if i remove Dragan ring i will loose more , because it`s crafted with old full DMG ring. And i`m trying to shoot as much explosive arrow as i can that`s why i`m using torso and sholders like that, but anyways , the main problem is that i can`t get that DMG loss from Dragan set and if remove torso which is allready crafted with 33% increace DMG.And my main aim is to make a way much different build that normal (this is insane)

Trakilaki is a nice guy and he really knows how to help players in general and mostly through the wikia. However, he is too close-minded and he sticks, i would say stubbornly, to the longbow build, when right now its obvious that the q7 set is the get-go farming tool, especially when you are not that strong and you need to farm crafting material fast. Forget about the longbow-quiver build for farm and go for q7 set. Any different answer you may get is 100% inferior to what i and more experienced rangers recommend.

Also, get medusas amulet for the % more critical and resistance. As for the torso and arrows i would go for q8 set. Since you dont have the dragan helmet, i assume, i would go for the khalys helmet for the damage, athough swapping heredur helmet for khalys wont acually make that much of a difference and i would also change that belt with q4 belt, which is really needed for your build right now. If you follow what i said, you will be able to farm q3 fatal mode easily and get good crafting materials. The most important of all is to get the q7 set.

As for having to swap the dragan gloves for the q7 gloves and thus losing the 22% increased weapon damage, the bonuses from the q7 set are way superior to 22% more weapon damage. Later, you will get dragan helmet too and you will get the set bonus back

Yeah sounds good. But i want to make my own Longbow build , i don`t want to be a bandwagoner. Don`t offend , if i offend you somehow then sorry . I really want to make a good build without that OP bow, it`s interesting at all. Thank for your advice :)

Well, you can do whatever you want. I just told you the easiest way to get strong. If you prefer the hard way, thats your choice. Keep in mind though that all us, who were using longbows to farm pre level 55, adapted to the changes, not because there was no other way but because we prefer the easier way

No, not all. Not by a long shot (pun intended :p) Just speaking for myself but I know quite a few others as well that prefer a real archer build. My RA has been around since Dec. 2011 when the class was introduced. Also it is not all about stubbornness or defiance or being hardcore. There are some real advantages in the long run to this build.
I am a master of easy, lazy, A.D.D. (and rarely sober :D) gameplay  My longbow gets the job done (despite the devs best efforts ;))

If you select carefully ... you can have more damage with other items than with Dragan set.
All you have to do is plan and calculate carefully.
You would be surprised how much open-minded I am.
That is why I am making my own build and playing my own game ... instead of following the others and copying the other builds.
I have something that most of the people (in real life too) especially the younger generations are lacking ... that is personal integrity.
We ... the people who believe in freedom of choice ... are playing our own game because that is the way we get the fun. And we are doing it not because it is easy but because it is hard.
Now let me ask you something ... how many of "you" were using longbows pre level 50?
    None? Few?
Well i have been using longbow since the very start in early 2012. Pre level 50 most of the rangers were using shortbows ... and now they are using hoaxbows. They shift and fly were the wind is blowing. Not me ... I have my own goals and my own glider which is capable of flying against the wind.
In the real life there is a mass of few billion people ... and they are just a mass without face, name and character because they are following the wind and always heading that direction ... but very few people can can ve recognized with a name and character. No one knows who is in the mass ... but everyone knows Nikola Tesla, Albert Einstein, Usain Bolt, Lionel Messi ... etc. They have succeeded and can be recognized out of the mass just because : some were exceptionally intelligent, some were exceptionally skilled, some were exceptionally gifted ... but what bounds them all is they were all exceptionally persistent. Ordinary people like doing easy things in their lives ... for them going to a party or to a football match is a life experience. A handful of people prefer the hard way of success ... taking a part in some activity is simply not enough for them. They are leaders ... leaders are not following the mass.

My estimation and projections are aiming at 20K base damage with longbow (with high defense and HP and crit hit and crit damage) ... i am not even half way there :D ... but i am working hard to assemble that longbow build.

What you are trying to say does not apply everywhere you know and in this case it surely does not. There is a theory called "relativity theory" and most of what you said has to do with this theory. Also, dont compare things that you should not, like real life with a game.Who told you that i dont like being different? Im one of the few that hate being like others and im not following other peoples logic to do my things, because the mentality the mass has does not mean that it is the best and honestly if it was, the world would not be like this.

However, this is a game and this game especially has its own rules. When this game requires so much playing time to grow strong, then i prefer to follow the easy way, especially when the players have lives too. Being different is nice, but being stubborn is completely different and stubborn people dont achieve much in life. Persistence and creativity are positive things, stubborness is not. For better or worse, right now the q7 set is broken for farming. I would not mind at all, if what you mentioned above were about real life, not a game. Like many others before me, i will say it again: This is a game and we want it to be fun. If you find it fun to go with longbow in inf2(and higher infernal when they come....) and waste way more time per run compared to q7 set users, then fine.

This is wrong information. The dragan set will always give you the highest dmg possible, at least with current items/sets. Even without the current dragan "feature" that boosts longbow dmg, it would still be the best option.

I suggest to start different builds, both siege bow and long bow and see what you like

As for Einstein and the others, i have never seen them, so they never existed, they are fake and there is a conspiracy: the earth is flat then; why? because reasons
  16. thouvou000

    thouvou000 Forum Expert

Thats true. There is no other combination of items that would give 22% increased weapon damage. Even for longbow users, that is the best damage set. Currently there are no gloves-ring-boots combination that would give more than dragan set does

If I were you i would make very simple change.
Dragan event should be coming soon (hopefully) Use the Dragan helmet instead of Heredur's.
Get the gloves and the boots at higher tier (when the event comes) but ditch the ring ... you can buy Tear Holder ... it is similar to dragan's ring but it has 6% increased damage unique value.
You can switch the torso with Sigrismarr's ... you can get the damage enchantments again. 5 seconds cooldown reduction to adrenaline is quite useful.
