Basically it has two golden base stats of increase block overall, instead of this item only.
0,33 or even below is golden right now in shields, but that blue for block strenght is 0,47 (that doesn't exist anymore too).

After that and due to time/resources consuming I left the 4th row as it was.

Its a shame you got impatient. That is good, but could have been amazing. In your case, I'd try farming for or buying a T6 shield and doing soul core.

 

@_Baragain_ I had really limited resources, gold, anders, inventory, free player, cores and so on. it was really hard for me to craft this and I knew when I got to the 3 gold base stats that to get one more it would have to be the 3 out of this shield and another one from other shield. it's not like combining 3+3+3+3 like some people can and do. I really had my odds down cause I needed these specific 3 base stats and then another one. And it was stopping my whole tank build and abilit to tank a decent difficulty. Maybe it would have been amazing if that last 4th stat could be 60 percent increase on this item as well or some HP.....don't know...hard decision at the time..

How come all of you forum gurus play mainly as ranger (or so I've heard)? There must be some secret reason, maybe you guys know ranger is secretly the best class...

 

Trakilaki is the Ranger guru. I'm the DK Guru. We are still looking for someone who could adequately fill the position of SM Guru and SW Guru.

The pest thing that ever happened to me was when I finally got all my gear to LVL 60. From there, I've been able to sell almost everything and I'm able to craft much easier, but I understand the struggle of having restricted resources. I'm simply a patient perfectionist. I'll look to see if I still have a picture of a couple of "perfect" shields that I reverted because it wasn't what I was looking for.

This one has way too much overflow Block Rate. I could have reached 80% without the Mobile Fortress talent, but the block strength would have been low... especially since those ingredients both have gold old Block Strength lines of over 0.60.


This one was one line away from perfect. If that HP line had been a gold %BRotI, a gold %HP line, or another 0.60+ Block Strength line (all of which were on the ingredients), then I'd have accepted and it would have been one of the best shields ever crafted.

 

Don't forget lucky.

Gathering the "temp" gear to tide you over is the hard part. Once you get that good base, you can then become a perfectionist and hold out for the best gold lines.

 

That is important too. In the time it took me to craft a 298% 2H weapon as a place holder, I was able to craft 4x place holder rings, 2x place holder amulets, 2x 4/4 gloves, 2x place holder torsos, a place holder (very very good) crit helmet, and a 3.5/4 belt. But this can be looked at two ways... is this good luck (all the other items I was able to craft) or bad luck (all the time and failures it took to craft the weapon)?

Just wanted to ask the Gurus about some of the character stats. So my armour value for one of my toons says 42%. I'm a bit unsure of the maths behind this - 42% of what? Same goes for resistance/crit values.
Sorry for the noob question, I never bothered too much about stats in the past but now I am curious.

 

Against monsters and PvP opponents of your level. If a monster does 100 hp of physical damage, your armor will reduce that to 58 hp of physical damage taken.

42% of the entire 100% which is actually only 80%

 

I'm confused, why is it only 80%? (I know, I'm a big noob)

 

It is only 80% because 100% would have been to much

 

The cap for armor, resistance, critical chance, and block rate are all 80%, as I'm sure you can guess why.

with the new update 208, does something change in the workbench?

I have heard that now the first 3 objects can be removed, I have also heard that the lines will be random even if 4 objects are placed with 3 yellow lines

Are this fake news? Am I under attack trolling?

Can you clear my doubts and tell me if there is any kind of change in the workbench?

Another question I have is: with the new update it will still be best to have 4 lines of% damage in a two-handed weapon in the magicians

Yes there are some changes with the workbench

Neither fake nor true.
The thing is the workbench is bugged so badly that you can't even craft an unique item.

Ever play the game "Telephone"? Someone says something, someone else misunderstands, and then someone misunderstands that and so on until the truth is no longer recognizable in the mess that is left.

Someone probably accidentally crafted four like items together and had the "Rarity Upgrade" craft selected instead of "Inherited Enchantments" craft selected and then freaked out when they couldn't revert the craft. Or, they saw:

And again made assumptions.

Long story short, the now allow people to do random output crafting from four like items, if you select it. In my opinion, this is a mistake. The small benefits that this offers does not out weigh the likely catastrophes we will witness when people accidentally destroy 2/3 exos or amazing 1/2 blues when they accidentally use the wrong type of crafting.


I have a couple lessons for you to take from this:

• Know your source. Don't trust random things you read from anonymous people on Facebook or in YouTube comments. Trust reliable people with a track record of quality testing and feedback like some of the people here on the EN Forums. There is a reason you came here to the "Guru" thread, and that is because you know Trakilaki and I are reliable sources... We have our reputations to protect after all.
• Never trust what you hear without evidence. If someone says "I heard ..." But can't provide you video, screenshots, numbers, calculation, etc, take what they are saying with a gain of salt.
• There is no better information than First Hand information. When in doubt, test it yourself. I trust some of what I read on the forums, but I always validate it myself before I am truly confident.

Assumptions?
So you think that this whole crafting thing is intentional ... right?
We can't upgrade unique items ... intentionally.
We will loose tons of items during crafting ... intentionally.
Well ... now I will make assumption. Let me guess ... you never went for the second roll when you made that ^ screenshot ... right?
I know i am right.
After each revert you get wrong crafting type ... so you have to select from the menu over and over again after each revert. If you fail to change to "Inherited Enchantments" after each revert ... you are losing your items for good.
That is normal to you?
I don't think the designers are that stupid ... so it must be a bug.
