    Inventory and locker space. collect lots weapons and defenses craft for coin and glyphs.

    What was already said above is good advice. Buy inventory space until you feel you have enough. You have, or will have, access to some locker space for things you don't need to always carry - so you may only need to buy one or two lines of backpack space as a start.

    Gems always help (I recommend rubies and sapphires - also diamonds and amethysts). Gems can be removed and replaced into new equipment, so you never lose that investment.

    Generally, it's not a good idea to buy vendor-sold equipment if you are trying not to spend andermant needlessly. Almost all of those items will become outdated quickly as you move up in level. There are a few exceptions to this that may be useful, but for the most part those items only help in the short term.
