Breakpoints

So most of us know about speed breakpoints, but as of late I have heard of some others. Apparently travel speed only makes a real difference every 5%, meaning that there is no difference between 10.1% travel speed and 14.9%. I read the same about blocks in the german forum.

Anyone have some real facts about this? I really would like to know if it's true, especially about the blocks (travel speed I have experienced that it IS true) as it could make upgrading shields useless unless you hit a breakpoint.

 

Sadly there is nothing to find about Breakpoints in the Database. You can only see them by testing, and i dont think its possible to get the Walk Speed Breaks, dont know a way how you could find them.

 

IMO travel speed isn't so hard to figure out, I personally did what I said to be true, but it was only tested with a few items so I might be wrong. Perhaps someone has gone more deeply into it and tested it a lot.

 

I don't know about travel speed (it only really matters in PvP, I believe... 5v5 mostly), but with block rate or amount, it's the same as critical rate and damage: it's all displayed in percentages you can easily see. It will make a difference, as critical damage depends on your critical rate and then your damage and block amount depends on your block rate and then on the damage you receive without needing breakpoints. It's pure mathemathics. Speed is the only field that has breakpoints, because it also depends on its animation. By that logic, I'm guessing it's the same with travel speed too, but again, not sure on that because it's not such a great factor, at least IMO.

 

Block rate dont have breakpoints, you have percentages that is easy too see and that is fact. Dont know about travel speed bcs didnt pay attention on that but if it is simmilar to AS than there is big difference betwean 10.1% and 14.9%.
