cant get into game since 124 released

Hi since the last release I cant get into the game. Get the message "you must have the latest version of java" and gives the java link, I did that and upgraded to the latest version and still get the message. I log in via sfygames. went thru tech support and tried all the usual thing, clear client remove/reload java, blah , blah , blah. last thing I got from tech support was "google java troubleshooting" Really?? I have no idea what to even look for. Big question is is this a BG problem or syfygames issue. Any suggestions? what kind of "java troubleshooting" should I look for?

 

Idk what should you do, i have the same problem when trying to login with browser, as it seems that dso is not compatible with java 7? I postponed my problem by using client. This is why you shouldnt use 3rd party sites for playing dso.

 

When having issues like this, you should clear manually all Java folders. Uninstalling Java does not do that, it leaves a lot of files after uninstall.
But ... @Lazar_200 you are playing via 3rd party. You should create account at Drakensang web site and see if you having trouble logging directly.

 

Did you try by flushing dns? type in search command prompt > select it > type > ipconfig/flushdns > enter > it will say: dns flush succesfuly > restart pc.

Which browser(s) did you try? version?
Does it work if you sign into your computer's account as an Administrator?

 

I read this yesterday and thought - doesn't concern me, no probs like that here...
Today I can't get past the quick start page either on Heredur or TS. So it's not the server. Did a quick clean yesterday and didn't really do much more than log in to my chars for the daily gift of maiden hair (2 on premium), so it's gotta be something else.

PS Was trying on Chrome, so I had a go on IE and got on TS. Back to Chrome and I got into Heredur, no probs. So mebbe it's a browser problem??

 

I don't think it is a browser problem. Sometimes files get corrupted. That is why they always tell us to clear DSOClient folder or TEMP folder.

 

It seems i was right , after this update everything works fine with browser again.

 

well an update....been away for a while, thanks for the advice. found that after I downloaded chrome there was no issue getting into the game. tried IE again (IE 11) and same problem. must be something in IE that just pissed off the game client.....

 

I have never used IE.
If you want to run the game with IE then try to put Drakensang to compatibility mode (not the game but the web site). Try this tutorial.
If you re using windows 8 note that there are 2 versions of IE: Metro and Desktop.

Anyway I wouldn't use IE.
