Character bug? (Spell weaver) SOLVED

I don't know if it is just me or not, but I seem to be having a problem with my characters appearance...

I have two different accounts as a spell weaver and seems that on both accounts my appearance is bugged. :/
It starts off fine and when finding new items my character changes in appearance, but as I begin to level up, it doesn't matter how rare the item, I always look the same. I even tried a dye just to see if it would make a difference, but seems not :S Anyway, I don't know if i am in the right forum but any feed back would be great. Thanks

 

Hi @Babybluex, welcome to the DSO forums.

Are you playing on a Windows OS or Mac OS?
Are you saying that your appearance changes by itself mid-gaming?

 

Items from the left side of inventory do not change the appearance of the character (except the weapon), only the ones from the right side do. Maybe this is the case?

 

If you change items your look changes too. But if you dont change any items i meen remoove or put you might need to install last updates on your video card or update java. Try to clean the DSO folder.

The info that you gave is a bit vague, so i will have to guess...
Did you had an empty slot on the right side of your characters inventory???
If so, when you pick-up a white item, your character will use it immediately and you see a change in your character.

Hope this is your problem.

 

Hi, thank you for all your replies. I use Windows OS and I also have the latest java installed.

I have all slots full and I have tried to remove all items and put them back on one by one, but the appearance never changes regardless of what I do. The boots seem to change and the gloves etc but the robes are always the same. I know this isn't a major issue, but it would be nice if it worked

 

Mage's robes are almost identical at lower levels.

 

Yeah, i figured that, but my SW on my other account is lvl 26 and is the exact same. Even with the dye I used, it didn't change colour.

No bug as far as I can see.

Look here. There are 4 pictures under the Spellweaver Tab and that character looks just like it should for that kind of gear.

 

Hey, I have solved it total blonde moment haha xP....Seems I had some kind of uniform on that was preventing me from changing. Anyway, thank you everyone

 

Ah, a costume... that could do it. I was just looking at the inventory avatar.

 

Yeah, If you look at my avatar to the left you can see that it looks different from the one in the inventory...Blagged my head for a while, but seems I was just having a blonde moment
