Hi, I was close to getting my 1000-gold cloak and was running HOD. In a day - say about 5-10 runs, I could get 4-5 cloak fragments. Then, since everything changed in Release 111, the drop rate disappeared and since then, I have had 1 measly cloak fragment in HOD. I now have 85 coins for the ferryman and only need another 16 fragments to complete the cloak, but at this rate it's never going to happen? Is this a bug or Bigpoint's idea of cruelty?

suddenly drop rates feel like they plummeted. Can't get any realm fragments too.

I knows nothing about drop rate, but I feel the same like you. I did the quest in R112 and my first fragment from mortis priest is around 10 times run.

I started my level 45 DK's Q6 and Cloak of Power quests between R111 and R112. It took three weeks of solo playing to finish the cloak quest. I did not wipe all monsters, just aiming those with quest items. Here is my loot record.

74 rounds of OoB to get 12 deadly shards, 6 rounds for 1 shard in average. 33 rounds of HoD to get 90 life thread of the ancestors, 1 round for 3 threadas in average. 97 rounds of HoD to get 30 dark cloth of immortality, 3 rounds for 1 cloth in average.

The first time I saw someone with the cloak of power in Kingshill at Tegan server is about two or three weeks after cloak shows up in talent tree. I just closed to unlock mount talent and incorrectly thought it only needs enough golds to buy the cloak at that time. After players complaint for low or ZERO drop-rate of fragments in forum, I suddenly realize it needs a lot of hard work, especially in the hard PW time.

Well... thank you for your feedback... I now have 105 coins, but still only 14 fragments for my cloak... so 20 runs with nada, zilch, zero drops... all up that's about 50 runs now without cloak drops...

The drop rate has been abysmal. It was confirmed for me when I was doing my dwarf. Comparatively I collected more loot with my main at the various levels than I have done with the dwarf. However, the drop rate for that particular quest is awful, especially for the 12 shards that you need from the death knights.

agreed. several months in Ocean of Bones with not one deadly shard drop. several months in Halls of the Dead with not one Cloak of Immortality.

Not to discourage you but it took me about 6 mths to complete that quest. I had gotten the fragments i needed from map 2 in about 6 weeks but it took forever to get those frags from map 1. I remember going over a mth without a single drop.

I've been at that quest for months now, the drop rate seems to be all over the place, nothing for months, then 2 or 3 frags in a day (4/5 runs).

One thing is for sure, the fragment drop in Hall's of the Dead is poor, it's going to take me ages to get Cloak and finish the quest. :(

Guess we've all been there. Celebration when you see frag.
On the other hand, I miss doing that quest so much.. we poor people would gather and have so much fun in those endless rounds.. I miss it. o_O

I was doing the cloak quest for 8 months ... so do the math of fragment drop rates now.

Well, how many hours per day you farm the cloak?

I take the chance gather all frags in r112. It takes 4 hour straight farming (without rest) to get 1 frag. And the enemy is weaken that time, so the number of minion killed is alot. Almost die exhausted that week.

Almost everyday for 3-4 runs, sometimes more.
Mostly in groups, but sometimes solo, and there are no frags for me (Dark cloth of immortality).

same here... 3-4 runs a day, sometimes some more, sometimes less, and I have been stuck on 15 frags since before Christmas and am approaching 300 coins... I guess the question is... why are the developers making us run HOD 300+ times... well, seeing I'm half way... 600+ times... don't get me wrong, I like HOD, but not that much...

Mod warning me for inappropriate behavior.
But,none of them dares to talk about this problem. Same as before, BP continues with nerfing all things quietly. They need to check this drop fragments issue!

You want to get fragments with 3-4 runs per day???
Lot of players including me were taking 50-100 runs per day ... and finished that quest in several months. It took me 8 months to finish that quest. I had 700 gold when I started that quest ... when I have finished it I had almost 2000. :)
