    Okay - being new to the game I have a noob question! :eek:

    Selling vs. Melting?

    Which is better to do with junk items? :confused:

    Also: which is better gear - extraordinary or legendary?

    Simple enough. Blue and up items I melt because the Glyph/Silver ratio is really good. Green items, I look at the price. If it is worth 20 silver or more, I sell it. If it is worth less, I'll melt it. This criterion may vary based on level, but it should give you an idea of how you could estimate it for your level.

    Melting v. Selling - it depends. At this point, I sell greens worth more than 18 silver, and blues worth more than 70 silver. Otherwise, I melt. It will depend on what you need more.

    Legendaries are usually more desirable than extraordinaries. 4 lines of enchantments usually beats 3 lines. That being said, you might get an extraordinary with 3 top tier enchantments, and it is cheaper to upgrade by glyphs and open slots with anders on a extraordinary item.

    I forgot to address the legendary vs exo point, but Novadude hit it on the head. ID everything and see what is good and what is better. Once you hit level 50, you will likely only be interested in legendaries, but never ignore the Exos you'd use to craft them with (Once you get to the point where your gear is good enough and you have enough gold to do so comfortably) as they can occasionally be hidden gems.
