I first encountered this problem with my ranger back in summer of 2015: the top half of the Cradle of Life map is *infested* with rubberbanding. I would try to move or shoot, and I would rubberband 3-6 times before my toon acted, if at all. This has gotten me killed over and over.

I had posted this problem back then (I forgot where, it was so long ago). The point is: it's still going on, and my mage is getting nowhere fast, except killed, over and over.

Please note: the top half of the CoL (ie, once you start climbing the temple) is the only place I have this problem. No other maps; not even the bottom half of Cradle of Life.

Bottom line: the movement distortion is worse than ever, and I am unable to do any quests involving the Cradle of Life.

I'm sure you guys will have this fixed soon.

Make sure you are not having lot of processes in the background when playing. It will produce lag depending on your system.

Not sure if this is what you mean, but I run no other programs on my computer when I play this game. I experience only 'typical' lag, lag I can easily play through. And again, even the bottom half of Cradle of Life is fine. But as soon as I start climbing the pyramid -- about halfway up any slope to the first level -- the increase in lag is stupifying, even comical, watching, counting how many times my toon zips back-n-forth before finally stopping and having gone nowhere (unless I just got killed).

Meps. Doesn't matter. I got my mage to lvl 50 anyway, and if my first toon, a ranger, showed me anything, struggling through those few quests and disproportionately wasting ess and ander, nets nothing special.

Running other programs is one thing ... running processes is different.
However ... I mentioned that because I have never had a lag in that map.

For that area of the game I turn off all the graphic detail. It helped me up the stairs. While not sure why but that one area requires alot of the processor. I even disable my virus program when in that map.

Turning off graphic detail. Huh. I should try that sometime. At this point it'd be out of curiosity, not necessity.

Nyet. With my first toon, I had a problem with a quest from the dwarf camp, posted about it in the forums, and it was taken care of; and at this point ... CoL no longer matters.

    --MERGED--

That did it, MegaNuker. I turned off 'Improved full-screen quality' in Settings. Graphics got a little blurry, but the lag/rubberbanding stopped. *breaks into happy dance* Thank you.

Bonus (maybe from not being on the top half of the map for a while?): I netted a legendary ring right off the bat (though at time of this posting, still not sure if it's useful; gotta run some DPI calcs and/or see what I can tweak).
