Tell me the way how to detect and ban those Workbench exploiter and i will be happy!

 

Considering that player opinions rarely matter, this would be a good idea. Of course, ranting does make some feel better.

In the end, the dev's will do what they do (nerf) and some will be happy and most will complain. Then in a few months, new cries for nerfing will heard and the cycle will repeat.

Look again, many of us have suggested this since the level 50 increase.

This is another option that has been suggested before. When the levels were increased to 50 (and beyond) the stats jumped out of proportion. We went from the days of 3K dmg to over 30K. Hp is now ridiculous and getting worse. PVP was never truly fair, (although a lot closer back in the level 40 cap days) and now it is so broken that I honestly don't know if there is a way to fix it.

At least separating pve from pvp would limit the nerfs to those who do pvp and not every single player in the game.

 

You should have a ton of onyx if you have been saving them. You know they are expensive and hard to farm so to throw them out would not have been wise even if they werent as useful to you in the past. Games change so keep stuff..never know when you might need it

 

Have kept every onyx I have got since creating my mech. A few months ago when the hot topic was nerfing mechs that was one of the main ideas proposed by the community of non-mechs so you should have started preparing then.

 

Imagine that... a common sense approach.

Anyone who throws out something like gems simply because they are not useful right now is just asking for a change to come and catch them with their pants down.

 

I have a serious question about these daily deal exploits.... Why dont you close the daily deals or take them off the game until you fixed this bug and bring them back once its all good? Its still not fixed and with each day passing there will be more and more players with maxed runes and gems.. Isnt this a more professional approach rather than just let this bug be exploited more and more each day?

 

I think the answer is simple, the more they ban, more value will be reduced to 0 and they need to start again from scratch.
You right as i can see they are not able to detect cheaters from daily bug, i think this is the end of drakensang as we knowit.

 

Well allowing for that daily bug to still be available to everyone willing to cheat after all this time tells me 2 things..either BP does this on purpose hoping that a lot of ppl will do this and then they will remove their gems forcing them to start pretty much all over (like what they did with the pinata warriors..and lets face it ..those were good times for BP)...or they are just a group of amateurs who dont know how to fix this bug.This also makes sense if we look back and notice how long has passed before they even adressed issues like balance and pvp.

Its like this..either you take off the daily offers and work on a fix to show the community that you give a ...cent about them..or you keep the daily offers going for months and allow many others to exploit them thus showing the community that u dont give a...cent about them.

Imo a serious company with employes that had moral fibers wouldve closed the daily deals in the next second they knew or were brought to their attention that players are using this for cheating.And here goes BP...half a year with this going on..and their best course of action was "we are paying attention"...even blind people dont look at 1 thing for half a year lol.

Anyways the ball is in your yard..there are more and more videos and pics on the media showing how this bug is done and there will be more to exploit the hell out of this.The more cheats we have, the less fair players we will have ...and we all know that cheaters dont pay for this game when they can get free stuff with ease.Ive heard of some people who made maxed rune /gems chars on servers like Heredur waiting for this to be fixed and see if they get to keep their char lol..Hell ive seen people selling chars with few 20 Euros..chars with maxed runes lol...

Sure baning the botters is a good thing..great thing imo..shame that it took you 2 years to go for another ban wave.You should do these weekly or at least monthly in order to provide the community a fair leaderboard season.This is a must in my eyes and to those who play fair in order to get their place on the LBs.

The way i see it there are 3 main issues to adress with the next patches..nothing else..1st would be banning / punishing these daily deal exploiters...2nd and 3rd are balance and pvp in what order you guys prefere as long as we see some changes being made...changes to reflect the things that were posted here on forums.

I hope that the mods on this forum wont hold a grudge over me for saying this but im sure that you guys feel the same.Same goes for every player who spent a dime or a lot of time farming to get his stuff.When we are asked for tens of thousands of $ to get latest things ingame and you see that cheaters get them for free then run the arenas like kings, then thats not right and gives u the right to rage and expect for some fairness.

 

Simple question based on the logic of this rather clueless post... should they also deactivate the work bench?

 

And teleport, character change, and whole game until the crap is fixed)

 

Maybe may english is bad but i cant see anywhere to ban players that exploit workbench and daily pinata.All i can see is a ban wave for players that use bot.And that piss me off because i see they have no clue how to detect players that use those exploits so they will implement a filter in next patch and will detect only players that will use those exploits from now on and ban some of them and the old exploiters wil remain unbanned if they are carefully and don't exploit from now on.

In my opinion they should stop the servers for a day or two or 3 and put all efforts to stop this exploits.

 

Well when making a 4x gold item at the workbench will cost the amount of $ that a maxed gem/rune will cost then sure.To get all items with 4x gold (even via exploit) its just a matter of time ingame because it can be achieved by anyone for free as long as they play the game.... having the latest tier of runes/gems on the other hand is only available if u spend some serious amounts of money (by buying premium or directly ander purchases).

Also a simple question based on your post..was it done in order to help in any way in finding a solution to this exploit or just to increase your total forum post count ?^^

 

It was a short post because I was on mobile (still am) and didn't have the time or patience to type out everything wrong with your less than enlightened post. And it's purpose was to point out a logical fallacy in hope that you would realize how stupid what you said was. I guess that failed. Oh well, your lesson in common sense will just need to wait for when I get to my computer.

 

Okay.Please tell me what was stupid in asking for the daily deals to be shut off until they find a fix for it in order to prevent more people from exploiting it.We have lived without that daily deal thingy for 5 years..keeping it down till its fixed for a few days will not kill anyone but will prevent others from exploiting that bug.

 

Let me make a comparison ... you are running a local shop and one day you realize there is possibility someone to steal . You even hear from people they know people who were stealing without being caught. So you decide to close the shop because there is a possibility of shoplifting and you keep the shop closed until you find a way to prevent the shoplifters.

Good luck with your business and start looking for a job ... because: you can never 100% prevent stealing .
There will always be someone smart enough to break your security ...

As for the videos and pictures shared/spread in social media and forums ... there are few reasons for it:
1. someone just found out about the exploit and wanted to monetize it ... by making videos and getting visitors/subscribers
2. some of them were probably enraged ... and they didn't know what they are doing
3. it was well planned last minute attempt to get away unpunished. Those knew about the exploit long time ago ... and they have heavily used it ... but they are making videos and pictures because that is their only hope to make it viral (because they know there will always be people/kids who will bite into it) and make more people involved ... hoping the great number of people involved in it will prevent the ban.

In my opinion everyone who has shared those videos are equally responsible for the exploiting ... and should take the punishment as well. There is a procedure on how to report exploit ... via Support.
When you spot shoplifters ... you don't just take out your gun and kill them or spread the news in the streets so you can all raid the shop ... you inform the people who are paid to deal with the situation (security/police) ... and you wait for the trial and the punishment given by the judge.

 

I was going to use a similar analogy this evening. I'll be back in another 6.5 hours to complete my thoughts.

 

Your analogy is incorrect because thieves steal/has impact on buyers so my business is going down because they will not visit my shop because they are afraid to get stealed too.
So instead of losing my business and credibility i prefer to close the shop until i get some cameras or a video system that will protect my stuff and also my buyers.
This way i get back my credibility and my buyers and also they will trust me for making some moves and my work is transparent because i don't ask them to see the thieves and report to police. Is my business and i,m responsible for this i should invest in some anti cheating systems.

 

Right or not... it is not important... it is forbidden and they do it anyway so they have to be ban. What is difficult to understand

 

Thats not how you run a business.If you are running a local shop and someone stole from you (or you have proofs that someone was/been stealing from you for a while), the first thing you do is close the store and do an inventory check to see what was stolen and in what amounts (do a dmg report to see how much money you have lost so far).If you would keep the store open while people steal from you day by day you will run out of business because you will have to pay for the stuff that was stolen from your own profits.This is how it goes in real life and what business owners do when in this situations.

You then contact the police and the insurance company to recover your loses and apprehend the culprits.Then ......

Same thing shouldve happend in DSO.People were stealing and still steal from BP as we speak.Instead of "closing the shop" and working on fixes and try to recover some of their loses, they keep this bug and the shop alive and therefore allowing more players to steal from them.

Let me ask you now, from an objective point of view..if i were a new player and wanted to play this game but then i see on youtube for instance how people get free runes/gems and other goodies, why should i support this game or pay for those things if they are free if you know how to get them? Why would any sane player spend tens of thousands of $ to be competitive in DSO nowadays if apparently you can be competitive for free by simply exploiting a bug?

We can debate as much as you guys want but the end result is the same.If DSO wont take actions fast and put a stop to this exploit, more and more players will lose interest in their product and will prefer to exploit the bug aswell ..because why pay for it if its free? If more and more exploit this, then the ander/premium purchases will go down because who needs ander and premium once they have maxed all that this game has to offer?

How do we prove to the support that a certain person is/was using this daily exploit?We cant go on their account to take pictures of their items and inventories, and not many of those who exploited this bug were dumb enough to brag about it on youtube to make it easier for us to report them via their own videos.

Support wont do a thing unless we provide proofs, and we cant really prove x and y were using exploits because we dont have any ways of doing that excepting youtube (when they brag in their videos).Its like a loophole created deliberately in their rules to protect those who exploit certain bugs.

If we had a way to see what other people were using by interacting with other players (something like inspecting items) and noticed that xxxxx char has only 40% hp runes on his rings and boots/gloves, then we couldve taken few pics and reported.

Only way to report these exploiters is by naming them to the suport and as i said those are not enough for them to even investigate.

 

Vis a vis onyxes, my mech, which is one of the original mechs on Agathon, currently has 7 flawless Qaizah and 8 polished in inventory, as well as about 15 smaller onyxes, despite almost never buying one and never using (except as switch gun gems in the level 45 game).

It is a really dumb idea to dispose of gems or runes. Preserve those at the expense of anything else.
