Do you need to spend money to be good at pvp?

I was wondering, as a level 35, I'm getting beaten by OP level 30 punks with all this upgraded armor. There is no way they didn't spend money. Any thoughts?

 

hmm. this is a odd question as i know many damn good pvp players that have not spent a dime and are amazing just because the of luck that was giving to that account the time he made it. though they say. i have spent roughtly around $1500 Cad foolishly. have all radient gems and im a good player at time. my slow pc and internet is what makes me bad. i do try hard and i do get my ass kicked. so i donno i guess. its up to the player. its not about power all the time. its about skill. sincerely Gles

 

To get good at pvp, especially low level pvp, without money, you need some combination of skill, luck, and time. Or somebody to help gap you through.

Do keep in mind that it might be more expeditious to work a few extra hours IRL for extra cash rather farming all the anders you need.

It might also be easier to just level up to endgame, where in my opinion, the gap between f2p and payers is lowest.

 

A F2P player that has spent 2 years building a level 30 toon is going to be way better than a 35 that is under 6 months old... unless the 35 spends money...

 

Same thing that everyone else is saying... you need to spend one of two things; your time or your money. I have a LVL 50 DK that I've been playing for 3.5+ years and it is competitive in PvP against P2Ps that have only been playing for 4-6 months. It can be done, but if you are unwilling or unable to spend money, expect to spend a lot of time.
