    Hello People,

I haven't played Drakensang for a while, but today decided to peek in and see what's new. I like the new loadout screen, nice work. :)

I've been playing different games in these past months, and today when I played Drakensang, I thought of an idea that would be amazing in the game.

I got this idea from EDIT

So whenever someone drops an item/essence/gem in dungeons/wilderness areas, it would just drop on the ground instead of vanishing, so you can just pick it up again.

This would be very useful, especially for f2p's who are in need of inventory space, but can't do anything about it. It would also help sorting things out easier, even for p2p's.

Any feedback to this idea, wether negative or positive, is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for taking the time into reading this suggestion.

    Best Regards,

    Muscle

It would immediately be exploited as a way to trade gear.

Maybe he means only you could pick up the gear you dropped?

Still - it would be a disaster for the servers. They would overload having to keep dungeon instances open for long periods of time while newbs with only three inventory lines (two? ... I forget the standard starting inventory lines) go back and forth picking up every little white item they couldn't keep and selling it - making about 10 trips back and forth and holding open dungeon instances for 30 minutes after they would have normally finished the dungeon. Servers would probably all crash from overload about once every five minutes. The way they prevent this from happening now is that when all party members leave a dungeon, the dungeon resets. (No drain on server resources keeping them open for five minutes: the way it used to be when there were a lot less players).

The idea in and of itself is fine, but the implementation would be a major problem... unless someone can think of a way to prevent server overload.

That's not what I ment. I am saying when for example I drop something in a dungeon, I can pick it up again, but if I leave the dungeon it'll be gone.

No trade possible, because only you can see your items that you dropped, and when you leave the area, it'll vanish. Maybe also when you leave it a long period of time on the ground.

Well, then, that sounds useless. You only have so much inventory space. You pick up everything until you fill up, then you start throwing away the less valuable stuff.

This idea isn't going to give you any more inventory space. When you leave you can't go back and pick up the other stuff. This would only be useful to people who didn't want to decide what to keep until they killed everything. 99% of people already know what is the right stuff to keep and what to throw away (when their inventory gets full).

What if we could throw stuff in town too? Could help, especially with gems n stuff.

You can already do that ... at least I am doing that.
You can sell everything not needed from inventory ... organize your inventory ... re-buy your items. :D
