drop rates on the Darkwood Path boss

Does the difficulty level have any effect on the drop rates from the Wendy?

I really, really, want an onyx tiger, and it's not dropping (despite that five-minute buff that supposedly greatly increases your chance of rare drops). Also it's sometimes tricky to find a party doing a Merciless run (I'm trying to avoid Bloodshed because that's too many infernal passages). Can I just kill Wendy solo on Normal or Painful and get the same chances?

 

Yes completed.. As you already know the first part of quest 1/3 Collect 10 Tablets are from Map1 mini Boss.. Quest 2/3 Collect 5 Tablets are from main Boss Gwen/Wendigo.. 3/3 last part is acquired from last item on Wendigo progress bar.. Don't finish Wendigo progress bar before you complete both quest parts 1-2 or the mount recipe wont work.. you must complete the entire 3/3 quest chain leading up to the last item on Wendigo progress bar for the recipe to work if you collect the last item on Wendigo progress bar before you get to the last part of the quest chain you won't be able to use the recipe.. it also took me well over 300 runs to get 10/10 tablets.. and at least 150 Gwen Boss runs to get the 5/5 tablets.. it may take more because the tablets are on the RNG drop calculation and seems its around the usual 1-5% drop rate..
