Sorry, but I don't understand the connection between range and enchantment values.
    Can you explain me, please?

Not talking enchantments. I'm only talking base value ranges.

GUIDE IS OUTDATED [EDIT] MODERATORS, do your job and fix it as well with other outdated stuff on this forum .. does moderators even care about this forum and about it's content anymore? They are doing nothing! Even info about upcoming events arrive with much bigger delay nowadays .... useless forum moderators which only blame & block others if they break the rules, but can't update few really outdated guides/threads with important info for new players ..

In defense of this forum's moderators: This is not their job; they are players who volunteer their time to help manage the forum. And just like most of the other players writing on this forum, I suspect the mods are thoroughly disheartened by the current state of the game.

If you're serious about having an updated set of Guides, consider volunteering and building them for us yourself ;).

Dkarl, i am confused why any forum user would think that a Forum Moderator needs their defense and take action, they surely not children and can speak for themselfs.

And you also seem to know eveything about their job responsibilities, duties and their thoughts. Who are you again...

What is the role of a moderator in a forum?

The moderator's job is to help the audience get their needs met through a panel format.
The moderator sets the tone, the pace and control of the content, staying ever-vigilant in keeping it relevant for the audience and encouraging robust discussion of the forum's agenda.
It is the moderator's responsibility to make sure the panel is lively, engaging and worthwhile.

I must say Prut has some good points and i agree with him, maybe not so much about creating or updating an guide (more a challenge for Traki =) ) but surely about making the forum lively, encouraging, engaging and worthwhile, feelings which i have sadly never felt on this Forum.

The Moderators on this Forum are almost invisible and seem to be in hiding since a longgg time!

My point was: Mods on this forum aren't paid employees of BP. They are players who volunteer their time. Modding isn't a job; it's their contribution to the community.

Agreed, I'm nobody, just a player who's read the forum for several years, and contributed a few messages here and there. Perhaps the mods don't need defending. However, I'm suggesting that raging at the mods is misplaced energy; you should be yelling at BP for abandoning the community. We used to have Community Managers who actually communicated with us here on the forum, and engaged with their mod partners. Now, it appears to me that the mods are mostly ignored by BP just as BP ignores the rest of the player base trying to give feedback and receive news and information from the developers. The mods cannot share what they do not have.

Since you are so hungry for an answer, let me attempt to clarify a few things.

I am first and foremost a player, and secondly a volunteer, as is everyone else who is a moderator on the forums (Forum Moderator, S-Moderator, Board Admin, Team Leader). I don't get $$$ from BigPoint for the time I devote to the forums, neither do the other moderators. The official BigPoint employee accounts are ones like "DSO Production Team" that have a different coloured banner below their names... and those haven't been active in a long time.

This moderator account I was given was for carrying out specific duties. It is not the account for expressing my personal opinions (and trust me, I have those too). It also is not for speculating and making random statements with no basis.

In order for forum moderators to provide official info to the player base, we need to not only receive it from higher-ups and also be granted permission to post said info. Sending an inquiry for official info we can release takes time. Sure, it only takes me a few seconds to copy a forum link and forward a request, but if I don't get an answer until the next business day (maybe), then peeps will just have to wait. Also, not all platforms (cough, Discord, cough) are treated equally when receiving info.

As for the forum guide, that was a project many former moderators and myself included have worked on, but I just haven't had enough interest in the game to immediately work (for free!) on it. Out of all the ones who have contributed the project, few are left, but hey, if you want to speed up the forum guide, feel free to volunteer.

How about a "Forum Guide Updates Submissions" topic that we can all post to that you and the other moderators could then use to update the Forum Guide "Posts"? Then Prut could help out by writing guide submissions. ;)

Along the same lines we could also use a "Forum Feedback" section where we could put suggestions for improving the forum itself.

Typically they've done an expansion ~every 2 years ... this latest update took longer because they chose to break, er, update almost every function and feature of the game.

At this point, you're more likely to see the game shut down than get another expansion.

yeah this info is about 90 updates short of correct lol (aka 3 years). well at least DSO gets updates, better than being ghosted totally =P

other than getting griefed hard, i can never understand developments perspective of remaining silent. considering every player could talk about what could be improved upon. would making a game more enjoyable.. i dont know, say, bring in more money as well?

It's supposed that this expansion is no finished yet... is it? but right now we will have it next year... i like having to get into the game just for my daily reward and that's all... thanks DSO for so much time for myself... about if people do their job, why do people still write in July events when we are in Agust? isn't there any thread opened yet for Agust?... there won't be any guide if nothing is established and they don't stop changing everything

I auto edit: yes, there's a thread open for Agust and nobody writes there by now 9/8/2021

    Enjoy the game, guys
