Browser crashed on me, refused to let me sign any toon in, just black screen so closed everything, cleared/deleted DSO, cleared java etc.. Now when I cleared the DSO file, it showed 5 subfiles that were apparently still being used even though I had no instance of DSO running at all. Found it running under processes using 50% of my CPU.....why? I don't want to assume that the DSO file is corrupted or being used for illegitimate reasons, just find it odd that even completely logged out of game your program is still running.
Are you tracking all of our pc usage? Are you selling our info? Are you perhaps networking our computers to launch cyber attacks against targets? Not feeling real comfortable now with your software BP. Tried clearing DSO cache on my laptop and it wouldn't let me. I had to go into properties and tweak settings before it would let me.
Would like an explanation if you could give me one. Seriously? Using 50% of my CPU while not even logged on?

You have to End the task under Processes tab in Task Manager before you can delete the folder. Search in Start Menu or press Ctrl+Alt+Del and you should find it there.

Did that. Opened task manager saw it was still running on applications AND processes even after I logged off DSO to clear folder. Still doesn't explain why it was sucking up half my CPU which I find incredibly questionable if the game is not in play.

  5. When an application is hard closed - either deliberately or as a result of a crash - parts of the application can continue to run for a while. In the case of DSO, I don't know if it is a buffer/cache being updated/cleared, error reports being generated or an auto file check. If you are really curious, I could enquire for you. A soft close (i.e. logging out) should result in DSO being completely shut down with no lingering components running.

On a side note, it's faster to open task manager directly with Ctrl+Shift+Esc.
