Entering the Shadow Kingdom.

So, I am reasonably dissatisfied with the answer in the "frequently asked questions" for the Sargon Event Guide regarding this quest. I found it to be highly inconclusive. I am hoping that by posting this here I can maybe get some more definitive answers. Should Sargon come back in spirit form, will killing him then count towards the quest for the Shadow Amulet? Is this the last Sargon event we have to complete this quest?

I don't see any definitive 'no more Sargone ever' announcement here.

I suspect Sargon will be back and the 999 quest will continue for those of us who have it. I think he may come back in a whole new event format-type, though. This may mean that Shadow Portals and/or Coffee Beans may not be needed for future Sargon events. These are just guesses, so I can't be held responsible for them Saving a few portals and beans may still be a good idea if you have the room in your locker, to "hedge your bets" so-to-speak.

 

It does not seem definitive either way. It leaves it wide open for speculation that he might come back, or he might not.

 

The loss of a 700 draken event is painful.
Considering how Sargon gear isn't really all that anyway as it lacks any crit hit or crit damage, and all it does really is buff your HP a bit, imo no great loss if Sargon is gone for awhile. And the weapon set is completely toon nerfing so that's something I won't miss personally.
They actually need a new event boss now anyway, new gear to go for. New gear that is not random stat hit and miss like the Moon drops, but like the Sargon horns, pauldrons and robe with set values and enchantments.
But then I have my doubts as to actual future additions/expansions/development of DSO as the hints to the game and development say nothing will happen except continued bug fixes/bug insertion for a long time. Which is good, but not holding my breath waiting for a future PvP fix lol.
So bye bye Sargon, you were fun while you were here.

 

I don't think that this Sargon event will be the last one.

@RickTalrok already gave a hints about new upcoming events.

and there was some statement(can't recall where it is) about new super event described as "best ever".

 

The future spirit (soul) of Sargon will still count toward the quest Entering the Shadow Kingdom, so hang on to this quest if you are still interested in completing it.

Does that mean We will face Sargon in form of a minion as boss? Like the 4th time We have to kill him and his like a minion.

 

We don't have any specifics at this time -- only what has been published on the forums. We'll let you know when more information is available.
