Although in this case it's a game, I do not like injustice.

Given the last nerf applied to the longbow obtainable during the next Dragan event (before it had + 150% weapon damage +100 damage, but now has + 90% weapon damage and +65 damage, still a good bow but...), because of some people who complain of the effects that that bow could have had in pvp (make hunters too strong) and that they are the same people who do not want the hunters in PvE because "too weak", I wanted to open this 3D about changing something on weapons.

    LONGBOWS: attack speed (basic) increased to short bows current attack speed;

    SHORTBOW/SWORD: attack speed (basic) increased to 1.25 attacks per second;

GUN/AXE/WAND: attack speed (basic) increased to 1.15 attacks per second

MACES: attack speed (basic) increased to 1.10 attacks per second

TWO-HANDED WEAPONS: no more the chance to have bonuses as "critical hit rate" or "critical damage" except for the base value of the two-handed axe.

    All because:
<<Long bow can't have bonuses equal to those of the two-handed weapons because hunters can also use the quiver that gives critical hit rate etc >>

Vote thinking of the total change, not only about your character, please.

(I hope it is written in an acceptable english, because i wrote it in the italian forum first, than translated with Google translator, than checked the horrible things that showed up (like "weapon with two hands")

    1. The stats of that bow were just copy/paste error.
    2. The teaser picture was erroneous as well ... whoever made that picture was misinformed or having poor knowledge in the game mechanics. Hence my reply:
    3. Al those proposals above are laughable ... at least. :)
Sorry but that is not how it is working.
    4. Unlike Dragonknights and Spellweavers ... Rangers are having best results within certain limits of attack speed. Any attack speed lower than those brackets is not working well because you can't use your skills at their best. any attack speed higher than those limits is spending your concentration too fast ...

As Trakilaki said, that bow was an obvious test server copy/paste error and only idiots, noobs and dreamers thought that the bow was going to actually come to the live server like that.

All of your suggestions have no real use. Attack speed isn't a problem right now.

And removing crit/crit damage would make it "too easy" to make "ideal" weapons. You yourself said
and if you were doing the same, you would see that idea is very bad.

Also, did you know that an ideal weapon for a DK, if you have enough crit damage, is actually a 2/1/1 axe (%D/+D/+C)? Just because you don't like crit doesn't make it useless. Again, heed your own words and think about what is best for everyone, not just you.

It is a pleasure for me to notice as you are very polite and even leastly arrogant.
Being more knowledged about a video game doesn't allow you to offend other people.

If you (both) are so cleaver you can notice how the story of that bow is just an example.

As i said in other threads i don't dislike that new bow.

About attack speed, the point is that longbow isn't a two-handed weapon, so why it can't have the same damage bonus but the same attack speed?

About crit rate and crit damage, as for attack speed, why i hear people say "you can't have those damage because you have a quiver" when the crit bonus in a two-handed weapon is nearly 2x the bonus in a bow? Where's the benefit on having a quiver when a warrior can have an axe, whit not really much less crit rate, and more damage? Or when a mage can have three lines of weapon damage and a line of crit rate in a two-handed weapon having more damage and good crit rate too?

I'm thinking of the total, and the total is people who don't shop, neither play 5 hours per day, making drakensang a reason to live. You know how does it feel to be discriminated even in a videogame? A videogame, you know? Something to play with when you have some freetime and you're too tired to go out with friends.
So why something like that can't be fair? Why people have to offend just because someone is asking, even if they consider it stupid, more fairness?

    PS:
stupid is a person that loose most of his life-time around a videogame, stupid is who spend money on a videogame to have virtual benefits and get out of his flustered life, becoming good at least in something.

No, here you have Troneck's example and Baragain's comparison of how good a ranger that's well thought out and developed can be, you're just discriminating yourself like some other bloody rangers, plan ahead, hunt for specific type of items or target-craft if you may.

If you re-read your proposals and if you have played the 4 classes you'll realize how bad ideas those are, instead of asking to change the game entirely for everyone to fit to your needs or liking, why don't you ask for advice/help on the Ranger sub-forum and get good instead?

Because you get double damage through marking.

You should see the numbers. With a 2 handed you get 4 enchantments only where with a quiver you get 8 enchantments, 8 possible offensive enchants compared to 4 of the 2 handed SW or SM or DK's ,thats also 2X the bonuses.

No one is trying to offend you or call you stupid(no one actually called you that), we are just trying to show you the advantages that your class have over the others. If all classes were to have same mechanics then where is the fun and "role-play" part of the RPG.

No one is discriminating, you are mixing "being different" with "discrimination".

As for playing for long hours, you can choose to play as much as you want, but then you should not expect to be at same level as that of someone who is working hard on his/her character cause then it isn't fair to them if they get nerfed cause some one else can't be as strong as them just cause they didn't invest as much time.

You can play at your pace and progress slowly.

Who is offending who now ? :p , After a long day if i want to unwind by playing a game then does that make me stupid?

Part of it is true, we do play game to release the frustration and get a sense of false achievement, thats what all video games do to you.
But spending money on something you enjoy is not stupid, its just like going to movie, would you call that stupid?

I mean, who plays 5hours per day, in my opinion is stupid, or he/she has nothing better to do (friends?)....
About movie it's different, videogames (i don't know the right term it in english :() makes people get out of society, they just give a sense of partecipation because you play with or against other people, but then, there's nothing more.
That's why i dicided not to spend many time here... unfortunatelly sometimes the game catch me and i fail

In my opinion, going to a movie is more antisocial than video games. At a movie, you sit for 2-3 hours consuming someone else's pre-made content in silence. In a videogame, you are actively participating and often communicating. Sure, you may not be social in the real world where you live, but you still are interacting with people more than if you were sitting in a theater.

Me... I like doing both at the same time. Movie on one monitor, game on the other. :D:p:p:D
