error code 35

Can someone know about error code 35?
i can't be able to download client update...

I also have that error code 35.
I deleted all files as I normally do.
Restarted the PC, still error code 35.
So I did it again; deleted all files again, even the Client.
Restarted the PC, downloaded the Client again.
Still that error 35.
I have never experienced this before.
Anyone have a suggestion??

IMPORTANT:

Due to a certain issue that affects the Certificate Signing process for the game client, it might be the case that you will come across an error saying 'Failed to verify the signature of a downloaded file!'. Please follow the instructions below in order to fix the issue:

• Uninstall the game from your system (make sure you closed all the client instances before). Preferably, use the game Uninstaller, usually located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Drakensang Online.
  
• Delete the DSOClient folder from the Temp folder. To locate it, press Win + R, type %temp% and press enter, then delete the DSOClient folder.
  
• Make sure to delete the DSOClient folder from the Recycle Bin too.
  
• Follow the instructions in this provided link to manually download and install the certificates.
  
• Download and install the game from the Official Website .

I find the instructions (via the link) very vague and unclear. I do read that they are talking about Windows 7 and lower, but I have Windows 10. Does it apply then?
Anyway, I can't figure it out.
That they want to help prevent problems, fine.
But at a time like this during current busy events,....
Players like me who can't figure it out are currently losing a lot of time.
Not everyone has the necessary technical experience to find and do the right thing. Could it be a bit clearer, thank you.

It seems very much like you are giving answers here, not to help but to upgrade your forum name, sad.
I am looking for help in answers that help me to be able to play DSO again, not this nonsense.

The error as described was caused a long time ago by DSO developers, not by me.
This maintenance means END of DSO for me and other players, and no one from DSO itself has responded all day, I find this so worthless to ruin players' game in this way.
Maintenance means repairing and 'preventing' new errors from occurring, but it seems more like preventing some players from being able to log in. I can't do anything with the information from the link because I don't understand it. There is no helpful information, and DSO manages to exclude hundreds or more players from DSO again.
Then you are NOT doing well as a game maker.

You need to delete or uninstall the game. The Dso icon for thin client right click it and delete it. Then empty your computer trash. Then Delete your temp file. Then go to Drakensangs official website and log on. Find the tab that says load game or maybe load thin client.

I have windows 11, you should be fine with windows 10.

I did all that things, really. I have read that post and have done everything step by stap what they said there, and still can't open dso client.
2 days ago i came back to game. Well seems to me that was not good idea

Wel, ok...after 6 times of trying that schemat.....now its work. But i lost whole evening for fixing that dso client. That wasnt nice.

 

On some computers it seems that to solve the problem you only need to do those procedures once.
On other computers it's necessary to repeat it more than once.

These problems can be caused either by the computer, or by the operating system or perhaps by some game file that has not been installed correctly.
Anyway, with dsp it's a matter of luck!

 

I will try to start the game after the patch. If I uninstall the game, I won't reinstall it again. I can take a hint. The game is too difficult to play now anyway.

 

I'm on Windows 8.1 & hoped I wouldn't have to deal with it, but I did. It took me awhile to finally get it to work. The screenshots they provided for the cert files didn't look the same on my screen, so I downloaded the 2 files that matched.

Also, when going to your temp folder, you may need to go into the folder options & check the "show hidden files, folders & drives" option to see the DSO folder.

A short video the steps would be helpful to since a lot of people can follow the steps easier that way.

I honestly would have probably just deleted the game if I hadn't been playing for very long.

 

This time they should have fixed everything.

Even in w7 and w10 that folder is hidden.

 

That's what I figured & since I didn't remember seeing that mentioned in their instructions. I wanted to point it out in case they didn't know that & maybe they thought since the DSO folder wasn't showing up that the uninstaller deleted it when it's actually there. If that's the case, hopefully he can fix it now. Good luck!

 

Yes, the guide does not specify that the folder is hidden and to make it visible you have to do it from the settings.
The reason why this detail is not specified in that guide is because it tells you to type the following command in the Run/Search bar: "%LOCALAPPDATA%\Temp\DSOClient" without the quotes.

Even if the folder is set as hidden, by typing that command you can view it without having to go to the window settings.

 

I deleted the files from the "temp" directory and still get the error message. This evening, I will perform a ceremony uninstalling this game for the last time. It's been a few years since this game was fun anyway. I still miss the good old days. Good luck to the rest of you.
