Game does not fully predownload, client freezes for 30 seconds on downloading files sized 4KB

The issue is as follows: when you pre-download client, and play it the first time, or if the version of the game changes to newer, the client freezes on downloading files, for 30 seconds a file, each file is like 2-4 KB in size. Here, have a look, i've marked them for you, you can see the client freezing, and un-freezing as soon as a SINGLE file is downloaded, the file being so miniscule oh well:



Have a look at 'date modified' of the most recent files. Each file downloaded froze the interface for 20-30 seconds. I can literally die on weak mobs while trying to plough through the map. It downloads them one-by-one, each file downloaded hangs client for some time. See it downloads 3-4 files a minute, the client is hanged all the time. Its like stuttering. you move just a tiny bit then hang for another 15 secs.

This occurs when new version is downloaded, or in my case CCleaner deleting temp folder ^^

The client is completely predownloaded. Well, not really, I mean it shown that predownload finished on client, but have look at status.xml file in ../temp:

<preloadingFinished>0</preloadingFinished><requiredPreloadFinished>1</requiredPreloadFinished>

EDIT: i just went q3, after many, many file freezes, went to the first group of mobs, my UI froze for 20 seconds. I put the game on left, dso folder on right. As soon as the file:

having a size of 1 KB got downloaded, the client unfroze, and i saw 'you died' screen. There is three issues: 1) The pre-downloading not downloading entire contents and 2) The client hanging on downloading missing files, 3) files not being fetched in a timely fashion, 20 seconds is way too long for 1KB.

Look at the hang at 00:19. The client unfroze after the following three files popped up in %temp%/dsoClient folder, weighing a grand total of 11KB, which is not even 1% of the forum page.

Thank you for your description It was detailed and clearly explained.

Have you tried, before, to remove all temporary files and install it again? Do it manually and not with CCleaner. Just to check if it is working.
